"Well, I have a brother who is about to ascend on the throne," Amiel responded with his honest remarks which made Irene burst into laughter.
Irene shot her eyebrows up to the ceiling in amusement, "You had a brother?!"
Amiel simply nodded his head as a response, "Yeah but you didn't get to see him when you were there because he is always busy,"
Already drunk and tipsy, Valerie narrowed her eyes and pointed at Amiel and Irene, "What are you two-…" She burped and continued, "What are you two talking about?" Valerie can barely even keep her eyelids open due to the alcohol's influence.
And then Valerie passed out which does not surprise Irene anymore because she does this almost everyday.
Irene grabbed Valerie's hands and was about to drag her inside her room when Amiel motioned his hands making Valerie effortlessly float into the air and eventually inside the room.
"Perks," Amiel said and then chuckled as he emptied his wine glass.
Her eyes widening, Irene sat beside Amiel and clapped her hands like an amused seal.
She raised her eyebrows, "So you can laugh, huh?" This time, Irene can't help but laugh as well, probably influenced by alcohol.
Amiel put a smile on his face as he poured himself more wine.
"So Void is after me? Why? Have I done something so wrong to him that even in this world, he is after me. Why are there so many people who hates me?" At this point, Irene bawled her eyes out and let out the ugliest cry.
Amiel looked away and gritted his jaw. He could not contain the anger he has for Void. 'How dare he plan something bad to her?' Amiel thought.
-
A couple of years ago, Amiel was tasked by the King himself to perform an investigation and carry out an execution should the individuals involved be found guilty.
In the end, Amiel ends up annihilating majority of a clan but one survived and it was Void who since then strived to seek revenge for his family's sake.
Void could not think of someone in Rosemoor as cruel and vicious as Amiel but what shocked him most is that he saved a worthless lady out of his hands and knew she was his fiancee.
As a result, Void never became driven as ever to finally plot the revenge he has been putting on hold to gain the royal family's trust. This was the perfect opportunity to execute revenge.
The next morning, Irene's head was throbbing in pain and even a glass of cold water on an empty stomach failed to subside the dominant pain traversing from her temples up t0 her crown.
Amiel's eyebrows furrowed while he is absolutely engrossed in reading a piece of newspaper on his hand. He folded it in half crosswise and put it aside as he silently observed Irene drunk walking in the kitchen.
Disheveled bird nest hair, crumpled pajamas, and a dizzy expression on her face completed Irene's morning look.
"Good-..." Irene squinted in pain as she tightly held on the edge of the counter top table for support, or else she will collapse. "Morning…" She shut her eyes to regain focus.
Amiel bee lined on the way to the refrigerator and returned to his seat and handed Irene a bright blue colored sports drink.
Staring amusingly to the cold bottle on her hand, Irene asks, "What is this for?"
"I read something in the internet that it is good for hangovers," Amiel replied casually while unfolding the newspapers as he was about to read it again.
Irene burst in laughter which made Amiel look at her with an innocent expression on his face, "So you now know what internet is?" She asks, laughing while trying to open the bottle and took a sip.
He then pointed to the laptop on the table behind them, "I had nothing to do last night so I busied myself looking into your laptop. Hope you don't mind,"
Back in Rosemoor, Amiel could not do anything that satisfied his curiosity which is the reason why he would often sneak out and roam in the mortal world.
Amiel is very much aware of the possible motive of Void as to why he is after Irene. Void sees Irene as Amiel's one and only flaw, his weakness. Because of that, Amiel just could not sit in the corner and watch Void cause harm to her.
Once and for all, Amiel wants to end Void. But doing so was not easy in this densely populated world. After Amiel successfully helped Irene come back to her world, Void followed her behind to execute his plan.
One of the reasons Irene remains unscatched from Void is the necklace that Rossi gave her the night before she will return. Alyx, Rossi's closest friend, foresee that someone is out to harm Irene.
This is why Rossi did everything she can to find something to protect Irene even in the outside world. The necklace serves as an amulet that bars Void from getting near to Irene.
Despite that, Amiel knew something is off when Void suddenly vanished which flustered Rossi because she had always felt like he is after Irene.
Because Void can't go near Irene, it is only a matter of time where he will manipulate others to cause harm to her. This is the reason why Amiel took a huge leap out of Rosemoor.
Undoubtedly, Irene is the biggest star of the entertainment industry. But her knees tremble and her gut form into a knot whenever her cold and untouchable boss, the CEO of Lotus Entertainment, has her called to his office.
"What did you do?!" Valerie is biting her nails as they go inside an elevator with Amiel following behind them.
Covering her face with her entire palms, Irene answers. "I don't know! I did not cause any scandal so stop looking at me like that!" She looks like she is about to cry anytime soon because just the thought of her boss sents shivers to her spine.
Valerie messed her own hair in frustration. "Aish! Jerrick is the meanest person I know! He never calls the artists to his office except when they did something wrong that may cause negative publicity!"
