The further south we went, the warmer the weather became. Our circus was on a long journey to a town called Himotsuki. I almost forgot, it would be wrong to call us a circus now. Because of the events that happened in Onobu, we now decided to become a troupe. Everyone around me was clapping but their face said it all. Natalia, oh my dearest Natalia, although I love you but I honestly didn't think I could stand for your singing, I sighed. It seemed that Shirogane Miyuki kun had a new challenger. Her tone was completely deaf.
" How was it Alex?"
Natalia looks at me with a broad bright smile on her face. She looked very excited.
'Please don't do this, how could I say your voice was sh*t when you made that face.'
I looked around signaled Sabatini and Dangan for rescue but those damm cowards just looked away.

Natalia face turned red, when she was about to put some argues with Couga, the voices from the girls group interrupted her.
" Kouga was not wrong, I'm sorry Natalia but your singing was not good." - Amuria
" It sounded like a wild boar was about to be butchered." - Akame
' Great job girls!'
" Don't be sad Natalia, your voice was ok, but It just that you need a bit more practice." - I hug Natalie who looked like her soul had left her body.
" Next is me."
It was Amuro's turn, her voice was sweet and fine but besides that, nothing special. I mean we didn't intend to become famous or something, our aim was actually the opposite of that. I thought Amuro's voice was perfect, not too good but not too bad, with her cute appearance, she could definitely earn us a few coins.
" That's it. Our main singer'll be Amuro. Congrat!"
" R-Really?"
" Yes. Your voice was perfect." - I said.
Couga nodded his head, he seemed to understand my thought while Sabatini stroked his beard seemed to thinking something deeply.
" What! That sounded so normal!"
" Be quiet Natalia, she was 100 times better than you." - Kouga
" I really want to disagree but…" - Danga
Natalia's face looked like someone just punched her in the gut. She fell down her knee her shoulder hanging loosely. Poor her, I understood that feeling, sometimes in life you just suck at what you love to do.
"Hmm? What about me? I still haven't tried."
Everyone's attention turned to Akame who was looking at me with a naive face. I didn't think that she would be interested in something like this. There was no mention of her singing in the anime or manga.
" S-Sorry, I'm kind of forgot."
" Can I try?"
There was no reason to not let her so I just gave a light nod.
Akame swept through the lyrics one more time then she closed her eyes and inhaled. What happened next was beyond our imagination.

The atmosphere became silent and everyone had a dumb look on their face. If my image was not a cute pure child then I would have screamed " Holy sh*t!" right there. Who could even imagine that a person like Akame could have that kind of voice.

" Fantastic Akame! You sound like a pro singer! No a goddess! We're gonna earn a fortune with this!" - Sabatini
As I thought I couldn't stop this idiot. I threw a stone at Kouga and then blinked two times to signal him.
" Ah uhm. Your voice was very good Akame but unfortunately, we couldn't let you become our main singer." - Kouga
" May I ask why?"
Kouga's face dripping with sweat, he seemed to be racking his brains to come up with a suitable explanation. I wanted to help him but I couldn't, for now I just wanted to be a normal kid. Akame will put her guard up if I acted too abnormal.
"Just as Sabatini said Akame, with that kind of voice you'll become famous in no time but do you even know what it means to be a pro singer?"
Akame shook her head.
" It would come with a lot of stress, we would have to deal with crazy fans, marketing, and stuff. I had a friend that was a singer too, it was too much for her that she even thought of killing herself."
" Is…is that so?"
" Yes, you're our new member Akame, we don't want you to stress out like that. Especially what you've been through, you just lost both of your parents lately…"
" U-Uhm I understand…"
Her face was a bit tense for a moment but it immediately return to the poker state. She was not that good of a liar I see, she still felt uncomfortable. Thank you again, Kouga for all of the nonsense you spurted out!
" Uhm I agreed with Kouga, sorry I was overexcited. It was just temporary Akame, we just move to this field recently, and we still need to gather more info. I promise you after that I would make you a famous star." - Sabatini.
" Yes. Thank you. I understand that it must be hard for us because of the sudden change." - Akame nodded but her face seemed to lose the interest.
We did explain to her that we became a troupe because we didn't want to be mistaken for rebels. Recently, although the faces and names of the members of the group were not posted on the wanted poster, there was a mention in the daily newspaper that a circus was a spy for the rebels.
" Don't be that formal you're a part of our family, Akame. Now we had our singer, let's practice. I didn't think our Alex was a little genius composer."

" You wrote all this?"
" No, Kouga was the one who wrote that, Sabatini just get old and had some amnesia."

While we were chatting I could hear footsteps approached us.

On remote roads like this especially at these times, there was no lack of thugs. It was not that strange for travelers to encounter some. It was not that much of an issue for our group. Although we couldn't be compared with Night Owls but our fighting capability was not that bad. except for Komi, everyone could fight. It was just that this time, I had some tasks to do. Follow the big man, 3 others came out from their hiding, all of them bringing scimitars and leather armor. Ahh my typical type of thugs. While I was screaming and crying, my eyes did not leave Akame for a sec. As expected she didn't act like a normal innocent girl at all. She held her fist tightly and her eyes went cold.
' This's gonna be a nice show.' - I thought to myself.
