Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Just Treat It as a Vacation

Upstairs, under Arvin's guidance, Harry Soo finally found the bathroom.

He rushed in and closed the door, letting out a whispered "wow" as he looked around the exquisitely decorated space.

What a huge place!

It's much bigger than their entire room at home!

Harry Soo emptied his bladder and didn't rush out.

His big eyes darted around, and he quickly took out his children's phone from his pocket to call Elara Don.

He had tried to call Mommy on the way, but her phone was unreachable.

He had been gone for so long; why hadn't Mommy called him?

Had she also mistaken someone else for him, confusing that little young master with him?

Harry Soo pressed the phone to his ear, listening to the beeping tone in the static, his little mouth tightly pursed.

The call finally connected, and Harry Soo urgently shouted, "Mommy!"

In the static, there was a moment of silence, and Harry Soo furrowed his little brows, yelling, "Mommy, why aren't you speaking? Let me tell you..."

"Aunt Charlotte is in the bathroom, her phone is charging, I am Dominic Hawke."

A soft child's voice came through the line.

Harry Soo froze, clenching the phone tightly in his small hand with a tense expression, "Dominic Hawke, Little Master? Did my mommy really mistake you for me? Quickly let my mommy answer the phone, bring you here, and switch us back."

Stupid Mommy!

How could she mistake another child for her own Tang Bao?

Ugh ugh ugh!

Heartbroken!

"Tang Bao, my home is like a castle, with lots of fun and delicious things. Let's switch for a few days, treat it like a vacation!"

Dominic Hawke squeezed the phone tightly, his pretty big eyes mixed with a touch of excitement and nervousness.

"No! Dominic Hawke, I want to go home, I want Mommy."

Beep beep beep!

The sound of the call being disconnected came through the static.

Harry Soo jumped up in anger and hurriedly called back, only to find that he still couldn't reach Mommy's phone...

On the other end, Dominic Hawke added Harry Soo's number to the blacklist, a hint of guilt flashing in his eyes.

Sorry, Tang Bao!

He just liked his own mommy too much.

Let's just switch for a few days!

...

The Don Family.

Victoria Don flopped down on the sofa, her face looking rather displeased.

"Vivi, why are you back? Weren't you going to meet up with Damon Hawke?"

Victoria Don's mother, Isabella Wolf, dressed in sleek loungewear, sat down beside her, inquiring.

"Mom, Elara Don isn't dead! She's back! What do you think I should do?"

Victoria Don dismissed the household staff and pulled Isabella Wolf close with a look of distress.

"What? Elara Don isn't dead? But that doctor clearly..."

"The doctor must have lied!"

Victoria Don said impatiently, "Mom, if Damon Hawke finds out the woman he slept with four years ago was Elara Don, I'm finished! All the benefits we've gained from Hawke Corporation will be terminated as well. What should we do?"

Four years ago, she discovered Elara Don had gone into the wrong room, and she secretly slipped into the room afterwards.

After nine o'clock, of course, someone showed up.

The person was Damon Hawke's assistant, Rhun Quinn, who, following Damon's instructions, asked her what she wanted.

Feigning shyness, she seized the opportunity to say she wanted to be Damon's fiancée.

At the time, Damon was overseas dealing with business, and he said he'd give her an answer when he got back.

This wait lasted two months.

And at this time, she suddenly discovered Elara Don was pregnant.

She was shocked and devised a bold plan in her mind.

The Hawke Family was a powerful and prestigious household, and if she truly wanted to establish herself there, having a child would be a foolproof solution.

Thus, she secretly bribed a doctor to take action when Elara Don was giving birth.

Remove the mother, keep the child!

All at once!

In these years, under Damon Hawke's protection, they have been enjoying tremendous influence, not only has she thrived in the entertainment industry, but even the Don Family business has flourished because of it.

They have gotten used to the fawning and sycophancy of others, and they can't let Elara Don's reappearance destroy it!

"Don't rush, let me think."

Isabella Wolf calmed down, looking at Victoria Don, "Vivi, in all these years, has Damon Hawke really never touched you?"

"No! I even suspect he might have issues in that regard!"

"Impossible! If he was incapable, how would that little one from the Hawke Family exist?"

Isabella Wolf tightly grasped Victoria Don's hand, "Vivi, don't hold back anymore! Even if it takes some means, the only way is to make Damon Hawke be with you as soon as possible, forcing him to push the wedding date forward, that's the best solution."

Using some means!

Victoria Don's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at Isabella Wolf and moved her lips, "Mom, you mean..."

Isabella Wolf curled her lips, portraying a shrewd and cunning expression.

...

Bluesan Apartments.

Dominic Hawke watched as Elara Don donned a beautiful gown, his dark shiny eyes filled with starlight.

"Mommy, you look beautiful."

Aunt Charlotte really is pretty!

Just like a fairy.

"Oh, my little Tang Bao, your sweet mouth is getting sweeter."

Elara Don laughed, pinching the little one's tender cheeks, winking, "Tang Bao, why are you not playing with the bugs anymore? Is it because of something Mommy said? Mommy was just joking with you! As long as you're happy!"

The little guy had been so unusually well-behaved since coming back yesterday.

Sitting quietly and reading picture books, even drawing, completely unlike his usual rambunctious self.

Although this well-behaved manner makes one fond, it also worries her a little!

Hopefully, it's not that he hit his head yesterday and is having problems!

"Okay, got it."

Dominic Hawke nodded, lowering his gaze slightly.

He wasn't Tang Bao, and he didn't like those little bugs in jars.

He couldn't figure out why Tang Bao would like those creepy crawlies.

"So, you stay home like a good boy, okay? Mommy is going to a banquet and will be back soon."

Elara Don kissed the little one's fragrant cheek and reminded him.

Such a gentle Aunt Charlotte.

Dominic Hawke's little face turned red again.

As Elara Don exited the apartment, a luxury car was parked by the curb.

Seeing her come out, Rhun Quinn emerged from the driver's seat and gentlemanly opened the door for her.

"Miss Charlotte, please."

Elara Don curved her lips into a smile, nodding slightly at him, and seated herself in the back of the car.

She thought Damon Hawke might leave her hanging for a couple of days.

She didn't expect him to directly throw out the name of Shao Hua, a titan in the fragrance world, letting her attend a banquet under the guise of a perfumer for the Hawke Group.

It's also a way to offer both parties an easy resolution.

This man, surprisingly broad-minded.

Lost in thought throughout the car ride, Elara Don quickly arrived outside the hotel.

Getting out of the car, Elara Don looked at the luxurious six-star hotel, tidied the hair near her ears, took the invitation card from Rhun Quinn, and gracefully walked toward the entrance.

At such high-end banquets, attendees were all social elites.

A crowd of reporters gathered outside, all vying to snap photos.

"Look, isn't that Damon Hawke and his fiancée Victoria Don?"

"Yes, they are indeed a perfect couple."

"..."

The sound of reporters calling out reached her ears.

Elara Don halted on the steps and, on impulse, glanced to the side.

Not far away, a perfectly matched couple strolled toward them.

The man, impeccably dressed in a suit, with handsome features.

The woman, in a floor-length gown, with a graceful figure.

Who else could it be but Damon Hawke and Victoria Don!
