On this day, Zhao Shu accompanied Taotao to Zhang Village. As they approached, Shao Xiaozhi abruptly dashed out, dropping to her knees in front of their carriage. Tears streamed down her face as she implored Taotao to grant her request.
Whether her idea was spontaneous or influenced by someone else remained unclear. Yet, amidst her tears and pleas, she didn't beg for Young Master Zhao's return. Instead, she beseeched Taotao to accept her as a concubine.
Her declaration left everyone stunned.
Taotao, Zhao Shu, Aunt Qing, Xiangling, Tongshun, and the onlookers from the village were all rendered speechless.
