It took me a second to admit he meant one of his characters. Nina Cady's hatred for cold weather was notorious. My stomach unexpectedly dropped out of me and hit the floor. It was a wonder he didn't give attention to the thud.

"Yeah." He spoke very casually, like we were still talking weather.
"Next book. Well, next-next book. The next one's already queued up for publishing. I'm about a section through this one."
