Chapter 147 - Brothers at Arms

"Haaaah." Dubhán sighed exaggeratedly as he descended into the thermal spa. It was a lively place, with many predominantly old humans using it. The Fae had trouble finding a quiet spot. But his serene moment was cut short when Alric joined him with the same exaggerated sigh. 

Dubhán knew immediately there was trouble. Normally, the two immediately fled into the arms of their matriarchs or busied themselves otherwise without much intersection. For the angel to suddenly join him was, therefore, highly unusual. 

The Fae frowned at Alric. "No need for small talk, cut to the chase," he complained. 

Alric sighed again. "Right," he muttered. "Though truthfully, I was hoping to just soak in peace."

Dubhán stared at the night sky above. There was a little earthquake, but by now, these tremors happened so frequently that most people didn't care anymore. "Guess we both are getting worked to the bone."
