A few explosive sounds in the great null provoked Rael awake, his eyes were blinded by the strange environment and his brain numbed. The zealous scent of coffee penetrated his senses, and drowned them in a fervor. His hands quaked as they scanned the wooden table in front of him. Shock enthused him, and he couldn't contain the potent realization of life. He breathed in air, it flushed into his lungs, he couldn't believe the delightful novelty of such an unimpressive result. More so he felt compelled to discover that he felt a strange reflection of his own life, and it's worth. Yet within a few moments the weight of his regret came to pass, his shoulders slouched and his head fell, his eyes shrank into small disheartened fragments that barely peered into the world. He was in such a radical distortion in mood, his common sense had evaded him for long enough.
"A coffee shop? How-"
Before he could continue, he felt the world become instantly awoken. The loud drumming of music, the streaming of congested cars slamming their horns impatiently, the urgent inquiries by a young child.
His eyes widened, before wetting. Tears bubbled furiously drowning his vision.
He pulled the child into his arms, before wailing. Whether a dream, final wish before death, or a nightmare, to behold his son how could any father feel anything but utter ecstacy.
"Daddy? Why are you crying? Your hugging to tightly."
Rael pulled away, he stared straight into his sons black eyes that sparkled in that childish bemusement that dumfounded adults. Rael felt the world dash into a stew of beautiful colors, beautiful flowers arose and fluttered in the air.
A long minute passed before Rael, suddenly felt the inclination to unbelievably believe that his son was alive and he was back, because -

His status screen had changed meaning something had definitely changed.
Rael stared intently towards the screen, he doubted his eyes considering at this point he wouldn't have had a status screen.
Suddenly he heard a cough which broke his eyes away. He saw an elegant woman, with milk white skin, and stunning red lipstick. And a robust white coat, emanating regality and finance wrapped around her.
Rael felt his heart twist in fury, his eyes sharpened into blades that howled a frightening glow. His hair's stood on end like a haunted prey, and a frost enclosed his body transforming him into a blood seeking sword.
He coldly exclaimed, "Angelica I must apologize, I have another appointment today. Orion come on let's go."
He spoke flatly, and grabbed his son Orion and pulled him, quickly making his way from the slack jawed beauty.
Orion titled his head, and seemed a bit flustered over his fathers strange attitude. Perhaps sensing this, his father pulled him up and hung him from his shoulders and loudly proclaimed with a laugh, "Orion let's go the amusement park you wanted to go."
Orions face flowered in a spectacular glow, as he nodded with great enthusiasm. He even leaned his body forward, trying to get out the doors as fast as possible, his eyes flickered in a brave conflict!
Rael raced away from the cafe, soon followed by the red faced Angelica.
...
The faint smell of burnt popcorn, and sweat perfumed the air. The lines were long, and Rael felt his mind numb with this lost attraction that had disappeared for quite some time. He felt his reality be all the more exposed and faint with every passing minute, yet when his son clutched his hand and screamed with everything in his lungs he couldn't help but feel dismissive of any fear. He excitedly went across the park, and the fresh exposure that colored this faint memory over, from the laughing of his son as Rael missed every shot at some of the booths, to his excitable eyes from the cotton candy and rollercoasters. The warmth of the day hit against his skin, and poured into his heart.
The wind soared against their heads as they ran, Orion opened his arms out as he felt the wind knock against his body and pull his hair. His father followed soon after him, huffing and puffing. Orion pulled his father's arm and dragged the reluctant father into the flying steams of water in the center of the park. The cries of children fluttered, and doused the spilling of the summer warmth. Rael's new shoes and clothes were wet, and yet a fresh warm smile dominated his face.
The sun had begun to sleep, and the hands of the night began to embrace the world. Orion laid down on a bench, his head on his father's lap.
He asked, "Daddy, why are you different today?"
Rael flinched, he pulled Orion up, sweeping the hairs covering his son's face away. A low smile remained on his lips.
"Orion have I been a bad man to you?"
Orion hurriedly shook his head, "Never! Daddy always has my best interest in mind. I completely trust daddy!"
Rael smirked, a big toothy smile adjusted to his face.
He got on his knees, and held Orion's hands tightly. He looked closely at his cute son.
He said, "Orion, I promise I will protect you. I will make sure you have happiness in this life, and that you can be anything you want. Please, Orion I beg you, if you're angry or disheartened about anything pleases tell this foolish man. I am lacking, but I want to be better. Never hide your feelings in front of me."
Orion felt his heart beat rapidly. His eyes were widened and confused.
Rael put his head on his sons chest, and said, "This time, I will protect you. i will give everything for you alone. So please tell me whatever you want or feel, I will make sure to make it so you get whatever you need."
Orion gazed at his father, and then slowly smiled. He placed his hands on his father's cheeks and laughed, "Hm. But only if Daddy is happy too!"
Rael smiled and laughed, as he pulled his son into an embrace.
"Alright I promise son."
