A large crowd outside was holding signs and protesting, chanting a loud slogan that made everyone inside the Institute of Mechanics feel a tingling in their scalp. Thankfully, the security was diligent and did not allow anyone to rush in directly.
Holmes Bent hid in his office, relentlessly scratching his head, feeling somewhat regretful for making himself prominent. While he was certainly a core member of the arduous research, he wasn't the only one.
