Nightfall.
The landlady of Moonlight Inn, Lady Adelle, had taken meticulous care to dress up.
She was in her twenties. Her husband died of sickness several years ago, leaving her nothing but this inn.
In truth, the lady was quite beautiful and had no shortage of suitors in the area. One of them was a military officer from the Governor's Mansion.
And yet, for some reason, she did not yield to their advances.
The moonlight deepened.
Lady Adelle once again glanced at the clock on the wall, surreptitiously eyeing the entrance of the hall.
A sound of hoofbeats arose.
With a touch of surprise, she looked out the window.
She saw a horse-drawn carriage stopping, and Aaron elegantly alighting, with two exotic sisters on his arms, their waists swaying like snakes, entering through the inn door.
The smile on Lady Adelle's face gradually stiffened...
...
In the blink of an eye, half a month had passed.
Early morning.
