Eldric and Cenric were having their little moment when the large left door opened.
Eldric sighed in relief when all eyes withdrew from him; he wasn't a big fan of the pressure.
A taller than average, exotic looking woman came out of the entrance. She had a slightly sun-kissed tan, her silky brown hair ran to her buttocks, and it got thrown around with the smallest movement.
The dress she wore was black, it reached all the way to the floor. The woman's choice of wardrobe left her shoulders and upper back free from any restrictions. Somehow or the other, that simple design seemed to completely skyrocket her charms. The dress couldn't have possibly hidden her large breasts, nor her unfair curves.
The captivating hazel eyes only added to her allure. Her features weren't the sharpest or the most assuming Eldric had ever seen, they were round and amicable, and she gave off more of a cute feeling.
She had a motherly feeling to her. Or more precisely, she had an air around her that screamed the girl next door. Someone that would just naturally enter your heart, without even trying.
James went to the woman and kissed her forehead." Sarah, how is little Bella doing?" He asked tenderly, looking at the girl hidden behind her mother.
Sarah smiled," She is still a bit shy, husband." She gestured to their daughter, that tightly grabbed the hem of her dress.
"She can't even recognize her father? Maybe I should start refusing the orders from the king from now on." James laughed, yet his hand never left his chin. He seemed to be thinking all too seriously for someone that was joking.
Eldric wasn't the only one that thought that, it seems.
Sarah brought her tanned hands to her husband's otherwise pale face. She shook her head, smiling, and said, "Neither I nor Bella blames you for it, husband."
She slowly drew close to James, and lightly pecked his lips. All forms of disagreement vanished from James's eyes at that instant.
Sarah managed to, all too easily, pacify James. Eldric rolled his eyes looking at the scene.
No one but Eldric found this public display of affection weird; it seemed like it was a recurring theme around here.
The girl kept poking her little silver-haired head once in a while from the safety of her mother's back. The people in front of her wouldn't be able to see her, if she can't see them herself, she kept thinking in her little head.
Eldric was the only one close to her age besides Elah. But Elah would never play with her, she liked playing with her swords and armour. No matter how much she cried, she wouldn't want to.
'Elah. You big meanie!' declared the little girl, an adorable pout on her face.
Eldric noticed the little girl that kept looking at him 'stealthily' every once in a while. He waited until she was looking at him and waved at her amicably.
The little girl panicked, she just as quickly shoved her head back into her mother's thighs.
'How can he see me? Wasn't Papa the only one that can see me?' She thought in her head.
Eldric grabbed his heart with his small hands,' Man, that was cute.'
He looked at his father, still flirting with his wife.' James at least did well by making this, adorable cutie.'
The couple was unaware of Eldric's thoughts, so they just continued their flirting.
He again waited until she poked her head from behind her mother's back. This time, however, he had his hands covering his entire face.
The girl looked confused by his actions, she didn't know why he did that. But for some reason, she leapt in surprise when he removed his hands.
'So he knows the invisibility trick too?' Bella thought, crossing her hands in the apparent challenge.
Eldric did the 'magic' trick again, and it had the same effect on Bella yet again.
A small giggle escaped his mouth when he saw her reaction. Bella took it as him mocking her, so she looked away from him with a hmph! Sound.
"Heh." Eldric put his hands up in mock surrender, even as he continued laughing.
Although angry, Little Bella couldn't help but sometimes take a look at Eldric.
Children were curious that way.
The little girl didn't seem to realise it, but she was no longer standing behind her mother like before. She was ever so slowly coming closer and closer to Eldric.
Now Eldric could take a full look at her.
She was simply a depiction of a tiny angel walking on earth. Her round face was full of baby fat. Her red cheeks were the most pinchable cheeks in existence.
The small white dress she wore was decorated with layered frills, adding to her cuteness meter.
Her silver hair reached to the middle of her small back, she had the same hazel eyes as her mother. Those same eyes were full of childish wonder and innocence, untainted by the dirty outer world.
As soon as Bella entered the appropriate range, Eldric launched the most disturbing martial art technique, the vilest of them all.
The head-patting attack sequence.
Despite her struggles, the little girl had naturally succumbed to the evil clutches of this cursed technique.
Such was the effect of the forbidden technique; passed around only to the select few.
But Eldric didn't stop there, he wanted more. He began horribly scratching her hair and jaw. Poor, poor Bella couldn't compute what was happening.
Eldric could swear he heard some purring sounds for a second when he began scratching her hair. 'Huh? What is she? A cat?' He wondered.
Although the couple were lost in their own world, they were still able to capture what was happening.
The one most surprised was Sarah, she knew her daughter well. Her daughter was too shy around strangers.
Perhaps, the reason she was surprised the most was the identity of the boy that was playing with her daughter.
'Silver hair, and ocean-blue eyes that resemble Aria far too much for a coincidence. Features too close to James.' She thought pensively as she observed the pair of children.
She looked at James for answers. He somehow knew what she was thinking about, and nodded without saying anything else.
"This will bring too many problems, husband." Sarah sighed and said remorsefully.
Her voice was low and ushered.
