The Next day,
Cafeteria,
Solaris Arcane Academy.
The Café was as packed as ever, with students trying to get their breakfast before their morning classes, but thanks to the enormous size of the hall, the number of students didn't really matter. Reynolds, Vanessa, Yetunde and Chioma were clearly seen, seated comfortably at a table, obviously discussing about the previous matter.
"So the plan is to spy on him, once we've got enough evidence that he's been bullied we'll force him into asking us for help and then we bust up some motherf**ker's" Reynolds confusedly commented.
"Yup!" Vanessa answered, earnestly staring at Rey.
"Are you sure it's gonna work?" Reynolds inquired.
"I mean, if her doesn't ask us for help, then we can't do anything" He promptly added.
"We know that and I'd it happens, we'll think of something else!" Chioma answered, caressing her silky brown hair.
"One more thing, isn't spying on him also invading his privacy?" Reynolds curiously asked, stroking his chin.
"Yeah, we've got no other option* Vanessa replied, rolling her eyes.
"In that case, I'm in!" Reynolds commented, with a hearty chuckle
"Really!" Vanessa curiously inquired, awkwardly staring at Yetunde. When Yetunde noticed Vanessa's stares, she did nothing but roll her eyes in annoyance
"Yes, it will be cool to be spies!" Rey answered, wearing a bright smile.
"Yeah, it will be!" Vanessa excitedly said, awkwardly staring at Yetunde, who immediately reciprocated.
"Let's just hope this works!" Chioma sternly said, wearing a furious frown.
"Don't worry, It will definitely work!" Reynolds said with a reassuring tone.
"You're right, I shouldn't worry" Chioma commented, as soon as she heard Rey's words.
"Okay, let's do this!" Vanessa exclaimed with enthusiasm, promptly exiting her seat and also the Cafeteria.
"Should we.." Reynolds said, pointing at the door.
"We can.." Yetunde said, staring earnestly at Rey.
"Alright, can we leave?" Chioma curiously inquired, glaring at the awkward teens in front of her.
"Yeah!"
"Sure!" Reynolds and Yetunde simultaneously blurted, exiting their seats.
One they left the Cafeteria, It was obvious they were heading to The Great Hall where their lesson will be held.
Moments Later,
The Great Hall.
Just like always, the hall was already packed with a ton of first year students, who were ready to take their first lesson. At the front row, Oliver could be clearly seen, settling into his seat, obviously ready for the class. Not far behind him, Reynolds and Yetunde were seated, stealing multiple glances at him, which didn't go unnoticed by Oliver, who simply ignored the stares.
"Are you sure he's being bullied?" Reynolds inquired, fixing his attention on Yetunde.
"I don't know!" Yetunde replied.
"It doesn't seem like it!" Reynolds complained.
"Or maybe it's because our Morning class is about to begin" Yetunde replied, immediately spotting their Instructor, who was none other than, Jace Barnes from The Fire Faction.
"Good day!" Jace said, waving his right at the students.
"Good day Sir!" The Students simultaneously replied.
"It is a Good day. Alright, enough Chit Chat, let's get down to work!" Jace brightly exclaimed.
"We clearly stopped at various applications of Abjuration, which are; Power Reflection, Wall generation, Fortification, Shield Construction, Force field generation and so on. Generally, whatever you use to defend yourself in Combat, automatically falls under Abjuration.
Today, I'll be clearly explaining to you the various theoretical principles needed to cast Abjuration spells. Obviously they're complex Spells like The Pentagram seal, Hexagram and so on but we'll be more basic. Please note, I'm going to teach you all the theory, you're all going to learn the Practical aspect in your various Factions.
Let's begin, we'll start with learning the theory behind one of the most simple Abjuration Classed spell… A basic Shielded Construct. It might seem easy but it is rather tricky. You all can easily conjure up an Affinity based Shield but creating an Arcane based Shield is difficult, due to the fact that, you have to practically know a series of Principles" Jace explained, waving his frantically in mid air
"The First Principle is gaining absolute control over your innate Mana. A fine tuned control over Mana, guarantees the success of your spell. If you use a lesser quantity of Mana, your Shield will end up destroyed immediately. If you use too much Mana, your Shield will be too dense, causing it to buckle under the weight of an attack." Jace promptly said, staring solemnly at the students.
"The Second Principle, is an extensive knowledge about several Runic symbols. Runes are a kind of immaterial medium or elements, that allows humans to communicate with The Arcane Plane" Jace said drawing a bunch of runic symbols in the air, with nothing but Mana.
"Usually, Advanced Mages don't really need to draw the Runes physically. We can do it mentally, drastically cutting down the time needed to create the spell.
The Third Principle behind this spell, is ability for you to easily extend your Mana from your body into the material world, just like what I just did now with the Runes. For this to happen, you must have The First Principle . Just like I said earlier, without fine Mana control, your spell will crumble disastrously" Jace frantically explained.
The Class was like the previous classes that always lasted for four hours and after that The Instructor leaves the class and so as the students. All the students slowly exited the Hall, heading to various direction.
Oliver was seen prepping his personal items, so that he could leave the Hall. Unknown to him, Yetunde and Reynolds were still in the hall, earnestly watching his every move. Suddenly, a group of boys slowly walked towards Oliver, which each one of them wearing wicked grins.
"I don't like the look on those guys faces" Yetunde whispered to Reynolds.
"Same here!" Reynolds answered, earnestly watching the scene that was going to unfold.
Apparently, the leader of the group that strutted towards Oliver was non other than, Hendrik, from the previous night. Immediately they got into close proximity with him, they easily surrounded with Hendrik pouncing straight on Oliver, placing his right hand on the Lad's shoulder, while whispering to him.
"Hey Weakling, Did you enjoy the class today?" Hendrik sadistically inquired.
"I….. I…I guess....I did!" Oliver stuttered in fear and confusion.
"So did I, as the Instructor went on and on, I was imagining punching your stupid face, isn't that crazy?" Hendrik said, wearing an extremely wicked grin.
"Y… yeah, I guess so!" Oliver stuttered, shivering in fear.
"That's why I'm just going to punch your face now!" Hendrik promptly whispered, launching his fist straight towards Oliver's face. The young Lad did nothing but stand and wait to be hit.
"Hendrik!" One of his goons whispered, halting his punch.
"Damnit Casey, what is it?" Hendrik angrily exclaimed, seizing his attack which was nearly about to collide with Oliver's timid face.
"Some people are here and I think they're watching!" Casey whispered, tilting his head to towards the back row seats, where a bunch of students sat, earnestly glaring at what was going on in the front.
"You don't want to cause a scene" Casey immediately added, prompting the group to leave.
"Yeah you're right" Hendrik answered.
"Tonight, The park… Don't be late. If you are, I'm going to f**kin rip off your head. Got that, weakling" Hendrik whispered, striking fear into Oliver's heart.
"I won't be!" Oliver hurriedly answered.
'Good!" Hendrik said, ordering his goons to exit the hall, leaving Oliver dumbstruck.
"F**k it, I hate my life!" Oliver angrily whispered to himself, noticing Reynolds and Yetunde's presence.
"He's definitely getting bullied!" Rey whispered to Yetunde.
"Yup and I'm sure he won't tell us!" Yetunde promptly replied, as they both walked towards Oliver.
"It was clear that they were about to beat the hell outta of him!" Reynolds complained.
"Let's just see his excuse!" Yetunde promptly said.
"Hey Oliver wassup!" Reynolds casually greeted, waving his right hand at the confused Lad.
"I'm….. I'm fine, thanks for asking!" Oliver replied, clearly trying to fake a smile.
"How about both of you?" He added, referring to Yetunde and Reynolds.
"We're fine!" Yetunde answered, earnestly staring at Oliver, who presently had his tongue twisted.
"That's great to hear!" Oliver commented.
"What was that all about?" Reynolds inquired, staring earnestly at Oliver.
"What was what?" Oliver slyly asked.
"Those guys, who were they?" Yetunde sternly inquired.
"They're…. they're friends from The Earth Faction!"
"Friends?" Reynolds inquired, rolling his eyes.
"Yes, Friends!" Oliver replied, obviously lying through his teeth's.
"He's obviously lying!" Yetunde thought to herself, while she stared at Oliver, causing him to choke on his saliva.
"Why did it look like they were about to punch you?" Reynolds earnestly inquired, stroking his chin.
"Er…. It was have been from you own perspective, we were actually greeting each other with a fist bump!" Oliver simply lied, extending his hand towards Rey, indicating a fist bump.
" Oh, that's great, I thought they were about to do something really bad!" Reynolds commented, reciprocating Oliver's kind gesture.
"Since that's settled, how about you hang out with us today?" Reynolds added, wearing a bright smile.
"Sorry, I've got to get going!" Oliver said, promptly exiting the hall.
"He's Lying!" Yetunde immediately said.
"Absolutely!" Reynolds replied.
"We've got to tell the others!"
