Immediately, she reached out for the book and took it, heading towards the Librarians counter which was filled with a few other students, trying to get their books checked out. On her way towards the counter, she was met by an eerie figure. The figure took the shape of a student, walking passed Yetunde.
Instinctively, Yetunde froze up as she could actually sense the grotesque energy oozing out of the weird student. The energy was deathly cold and immediately the figure walked out of the Library, Yetunde regained her self-consciousness, while she heavily panted for breath.
"What… hell…. Was that?" Yetunde stuttered in fright as she felt an eerie chill, running down her spine.
Even after whatever she saw left, Yetunde froze up in a single spot, trying to make sense of what just happened. Once the Librarian counter was free, She noticed a teenage girl, standing like a stature.
"Ah, young girl…. Young girl!" She said, waving frantically at Yetunde.
After a couple of seconds, her constantly call was able to wake Yetunde back to reality.
"Huh?.... Oh, I'm really sorry!" Yetunde confusedly said, walking the counter.
"No problem… What do you have they pretty girl?" The Librarian curiously inquired.
"Introduction to Arcane History and Low Tier Flame spells!" Yetunde promptly replied, dropping her borrowed books on the counter.
"Alright…. You're a new student, I hope you know the rules…. Any book borrowed from the Library.." She said.
".. Should be returned In Three to Four days after it was checked out" Yetunde politely interrupted.
"I know the rules!" Yetunde boasted, wearing a big proud smirk.
"That's awesome, I'll take those…" The Librarian brightly said, taking Yetunde's book.
"… So I can do my thing!" She promptly added.
In a couple of seconds, the checking out process was finally over, allowing Yetunde silently leave the gigantic library. She immediately headed towards her room, hoping to see Vanessa there. Arriving at her bedroom, it was surprisingly empty, which meant Vanessa was still at the Cafeteria.
"What the hell is she still doing at the Cafeteria?" She yelled as she suddenly noticed that her stomach was violently rumbling.
"Alright, I guess I've got to the Café too! She thought to herself, grabbing her stomach in shock.
Without any further hesitation, she dropped off her books and headed straight to the Cafeteria, where she surprisingly met up with Reynolds.
"Hi Rey!" Yetunde exclaimed, grabbing Reynolds attention as he was about to enter the Café.
"Oh hey Yetunde!" He responded, waving his right hand at the gorgeous but hungry teenage girl in front of him.
"You seem really hungry!" Reynolds commented after hearing Yetunde's growling stomach.
"Yeah, you're right!" She said, obviously embarrassed.
"Alright then, let's go in…. Before you die of hunger!" Reynolds commented wryly, mocking Yetunde's present dilemma.
"Ha.. Ha, real funny!" Yetunde sarcastically replied, walking into the Cafeteria.
Unlike the Morning section, the place wasn't really jam-packed withy hungry students. Immediately both Reynolds and Yetunde entered the facility, they instantly spotted Vanessa, who was currently munching on a big pile of food.
"Seriously, I can't believe she can eat that much!" Yetunde said as her dropped in shock.
"That's insane!" Reynolds commented.
Removing their attention from the girl, they both walked towards the counter, ordering what they want and immediately heading towards Vanessa.
"What's up Vanessa!" Reynolds said, grabbing her attention.
"Mmmm…..mmmm!" She mumbled with her mouthful.
"What did she say now?" Rey inquired, staring at Yetunde for answers.
"Don't ask me!" Yetunde said, burying her face into her food.
"I said…. The skies!" Vanessa said, swallowing her chewed up food.
"Huh?" Rey blurted, staring weirdly at Vanessa.
"You asked What's up and I answered, the skies!" Vanessa said.
Hearing what Vanessa just said, Yetunde couldn't help but laugh with a mouthful of food, almost choking her in the process.
"She's out of line but she's also right!" Yetunde commented while she continued her hysterical laughter.
"What the f**k are you two saying?" Reynolds said, confusedly staring at both girls.
"Words son…. Words!" Vanessa said, giving Rey a light pat on his head.
"I asked What's up... What does that have to do with skies!" Reynolds confusingly inquired.
"It has everything to do with Skies!" Yetunde replied, hardly trying not to laugh.
"No, it doesn't!"
"Yes, it does!"
"No.. It doesn't!"
"Yes.. It does!"
Both youth's continued arguing until they accosted by someone and that someone was none other than, Daniella Andrea.
"Hey Reynolds!" Her cute light voice boomed across the table, grabbing everyone's attention.
"Hey… er… Daniella right?" Rey answered, wearing a cheery smile.
"Yes!" She promptly answered.
"Alright, what's up!" He awkwardly said.
"I'm fine!" She replied, earnestly gripping the ends of her jacket.
"I wanted….. I wanted to say... thank you for save….. saving me earlier. I really appreciate it!" She said, respectfully bowing her head to him.
"That's a little too much!" Reynolds said, prompting her o raise her head.
"What's wrong ?" Daniella confusedly stared at the crimson youth for answers.
"Nothing's wrong but I don't think you should be bowing to me. I'm just glad I helped in time!" Reynolds answered, caressing his hair awkwardly.
"Thank you!" Daniella said.
"If you don't mind, you can us!" Yetunde inquired.
"Thank you but I have to decline, because I have other plans!" Daniella said, swiftly walking away.
"Alright!" Yetunde said, shifting her attention to Rey.
"Admit it, you enjoyed it!" Yetunde said, wearing a mischievous smile.
"Admit it!" Vanessa asked in the same manner.
"Admit what?" Rey confusedly inquired.
"You enjoyed the part where she bowed in front of you!" Vanessa mischievously commented.
"Yeah, admit it pretty boy!" Yetunde said.
"No, I didn't… I'm just glad I helped her before it was too late!" Rey proudly said.
"You enjoyed it!" Vanessa said, taking a huge bite on her food.
"I did not!" Reynolds promptly replied.
"Yes you did!" Yetunde said..
"No, I didn't!"
"Yes, you did!"
"No….. I didn't!"
"Yes….. you did!"
This back and forth argument lasted their entire stay in the Cafeteria. Afterwards, they headed over to their different rooms.
At Night,
Yetunde's Dorm room,
Solaris Arcane Academy.
Solaris City.
Yetunde was clearly seen studying while her roomie, Vanessa, did nothing but staring at a transparent bar of glass. The glass had several runic symbols which showed it was a product of Arcatech. Judging by the length and how Vanessa used it, one could tell it was an Arcane smartphone.
"Ughhh!" Vanessa exclaimed, indicating that she's bored.
"What's wrong now?" Yetunde asked , turning her attention towards her roommate.
"I'm bored!" Vanessa whined, slowly infuriating Yetunde.
"Hey Bored, I'm Studying, it's nice to meet ya!" Yetunde said, waving at Vanessa.
"That wasn't a good joke but I'm still going to laugh!" Vanessa slowly said.
"Ha….Ha!" She sarcastically chuckled.
"Look I'm studying… Why don't you study with me!" Yetunde inquired, staring at Vanessa.
"Nope, that's way more boring!" Vanessa replied.
"Fine, suit yourself!" Yetunde said, shifting her attention back to her books.
"Ughhh!" Vanessa exclaimed, indicating she bored again.
"Fine, let's talk!" Yetunde said, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
" If you really want to!" Vanessa said, shrugging her shoulders.
"You were really strong today!" She added.
"Huh?" Yetunde blurted.
"The amount power in your attacks were unimaginable and frightening. I got scared a couple if times, thought I was going to die…. You're awesome, thanks for going all out!" Vanessa calmly said who h was rather unusual for her.
Hearing what Vanessa had to say, Yetunde couldn't help herself, as she weirdly beaming with joy. "Well, I also have to thank you. That was the first time, I actually fought someone. I didn't know what to expect…. Your attacks were deadly too. I also got scared a couple times but at the same time, It was fun… Thanks again, for making my first fight memorable!" Yetunde said, waiting for a reply from Vanessa but as it turns out, she had already fallen asleep.
Seeing this, Yetunde shook her head and slightly chuckled, "Goodnight Vanessa, sweet dreams!" She said, wearing a warm, cheery smile.
The Next day,
Yetunde was already up as usual while Vanessa was still in bed as usual, but unlike the previous day, Yetunde didn't bother to wake her up which actually proves to be futile. In a matter of minutes, Yetunde was done dressing up for school.
"You better get ready for class!" Yetunde exclaimed at the top of her voice but efforts were null.
"Alright, I'm out of here!" Yetunde said, immediately taking her leave.
"I'm coming mum….. Just ten more minutes!" Vanessa said, waving her hand.
"I'm not your….. Forget it!" Yetunde said, as she walked out, not minding Vanessa's gibberish talk.
"Don't eat it all….. I'm still hungry!" Vanessa exclaimed in her sleep.
Wasting no further time, Yetunde rapidly waltzed away to the Cafeteria for breakfast. On arrival, she couldn't spot Reynolds anywhere, so she decided to eat all by herself, walking towards the counter and ordering her food. After eating her delicious breakfast made the Academy's Best Chef, she headed straight to class, which was taking place in the Great Hall.
Few Minutes Later,
Presently in the Great Hall, all first year were seen in the hall, some seated while the others were prepping to take their seats.
Yetunde and Reynolds were seen scouting for seats. They soon saw two untaken seats which was next to apparently stoic looking girl.
"Hey, are these seats taken!"
