Tess walked into the Police Station dressed in plain cloths, black jeans trousers, black sneakers and a grey t-shirt; this was comfortable cloths for her. Her superior officer had long given up on haranguing her on proper dress code for detectives. Sometimes, she couldn't just pretend in corporate skirts, trousers and suits and today was one of those days.
Her dressing was a consolation. She needed the relief as after two weeks since she'd met Jeff, she'd not been able to stop thinking of him. Thoughts of him had become an obsession, now stronger than ever. He had grown into a striking man; he seemed to have worked on himself and had lost all his chubbiness.
