The day of his journey had arrived too soon. After kissing Mercy that day, as deep as he had been dreaming of doing, he had wanted to spend all his time with her. Unfortunately, Jim could not shirk his duties and obligations no matter how he wished that he could do so. He had dreaded this day when he would have to not just leave his children for a journey of more than one day, but he would be leaving the baby which he had gotten used to and Mercy. It seemed leaving Mercy was the utmost important pain in his heart at the moment. He wished he could take all of them with him.
It would be so fun to have them on the road trip. Jim's heart began pounding at the possibility. However, he knew this was only a dream. Uprooting the kids and the baby without planning would be a disaster. So, he had no choice but to attend this official obligations by himself.
