During his fifteen minutes drive to the hospital, Jim pondered on what had just happened with Mercy. His mind was a turmoil of contradictions. He wished the baby hadn't woken up when things were just heating up. Jim recalled the the soft cushion of her arse on his hardness. Rubbing a hand down his face, he recalled how she had held his head and deepened their kiss. God, what would have happened if the baby hadn't interrupted them?
So, Jim still thanked God that the baby had decided to wake at that time. Jim knew what would have happened if they had not been interrupted. They had both been lost in the moment and he was sure he would have taken her there. He wanted to say that he'd have done that because he'd not been with a woman for a long time. However, he knew if he hadn't been attracted to Mercy from the onset, he would never have lost his head that way.
