Udia couldn't believe how easy it'd been to convince Lady Otong of how despicable Louisa was, although, the gun he'd showed her must have made her readily agreeable. He chuckled at his joke while staring at the terrified society woman.
Lady Otong on the other hand couldn't believe what she'd caused for herself. She realized she should have listened to her husband and let the matter die, but no, she'd imagined she was some super woman who could solve everything.
She had just confirmed that Louisa was bad for her son, but now, she sat as still as a monument and listened to the threats Udia dolled out. He was going to kill her husband if she didn't look for and flush out Louisa who had his diamonds. He wanted her to convince her son to do business with him or he dies.
"But…but, Casmir doesn't listen to me anymore," she stuttered, her bladder feeling as though it would bust from the pressure of fear.
