There is silence on the connection as I wondered if I have destroyed this without even starting anything. God, how could I have forgotten to call her? It was that damn groupie and her unwanted call. Seriously, was she a demon? And has she spoilt this for me already? God, please, no, I mentally prayed with all amount of verve.
"Will you - are we still seeing today?" She asked and did not sound excited at all. In fact, she sounded solemn, like she expected me to bail on her. Or maybe, she felt I did not like her enough. God damn it! I liked her a whole lot. My stomach plummeted. I needed to fix this immediately. I need to let her know that not calling her was an honest mistake. I needed her to know that she was a priority to me, right now and possibly ever.
"I'm outside your house right now. I've been here since 6:47am. I just - I didn't want to seem stalkerish so I waited to call by seven," my voice cracked in my desperation to explain.
