Jeff's widened eyes gave Tess more joy than the surprise live performance from a popular local band organised by the restaurant. He seemed so excited for the performance, especially as the management of the restaurant moved some things out of the way to create a small, but sweet looking stage for the musicians.
As they had finished their meal and had sat back with their wine having a mellow conversation, when the performance commenced, Tess shifted her seat so that she was now positioned beside Jeff instead of opposite him. She was not the only one changing positions, other patrons of the restaurant were doing the same so that they could better view the live entertainment.
The lights in the restaurant became dimmer, creating a very cosy atmosphere, while the area around the stage became brighter for the patrons to enjoy the performance. Tess especially loved the dimmed lights because it gave her more confidence in her plans to seduce Jeff.
