Chapter 8 - Like a real scholar

Chunhee's thoughts about Yujin's friends slowly dissipated. Anyway, that wasn't his responsibility. Whatever happened to Yujin, normally, the new Chunhee wasn't to be influenced anymore after the engagement's cancellation. What would happen after that, Chunhee most likely wouldn't care. Once that happened, he would make sure to cut all ties with Yujin to prevent other possibilities.

Although thinking too far ahead wasn't entirely a good mindset. First things first, even if he couldn't be a scholar like his first life, Chunhee needed to become at least a good student with a proper standing in this school. In the future, when the Plot God finally starts ignoring him, he would have more options how to live his life. Thinking this way, Chunhee couldn't help but smile.

On the outside, Chunhee's face showed helplessness while talking to Daehyun but only he himself knew how happy his heart was seeing Yujin's reaction. Yujin may not show it on his face but his eyes clearly show: I'm disappointed at you, I don't want to look at you right now, shame on you and your entire ancestry.

This was the translation from the original body. That 6th Chunhee really was infatuated with Yujun he could easily understand what that man felt. This unscientific skill was really amazing and its amazingness would be used to its advantage under the hands of the new Chunhee.

During this kind of situation, the original won't hesitate to chase after Yujin, and explain himself with teary eyes so the latter would understand his actions. He would beg and beg not to be misunderstood, he would prove his 'innocence' so Yujin wouldn't hate him.

But the new Chunhee wasn't going to do such disgraceful actions.

Beg, my ass! I won't need my behavior be restricted because of one person, duh! Chunhee exclaimed in his heart as he pulled Daehyun to the cafeteria, cheerfully started conversing like nothing happened at all.

Everyone was stunned when they saw this. The students began to murmur and gossip. Everybody in YN Academy knew how Chunhee was too in love with Yujin. Almost every minute they would see how Chunhee would chase after Yujin, longing to get closer and enjoy his free time with Yujin. Some days they would even catch sight of Chunhee crying when Yujin intentionally ignored him. But today, Chunhee just continued walking without approaching Yujin when he met him at the hallway. It made people's eyes get wide and freeze.

Did Chunhee have amnesia? Why did he not approach Yujin and explain himself? Was he actually possessed?

Chunhee continued walking with Daehyun, ignoring the stunned faces of the students. He just let them have their own guesses and conclusions to their hearts' content.

Time flew and it was already lunch time, meaning, Chunhee and his friends would hang out in the greenhouse.

The greenhouse's structure outside was actually simple. Just like any greenhouse, it was filled with grass and plants. But inside was quite beautiful and unique. The main structure was divided by two kinds of walls, glass and plastic. The surrounding transparent walls held different plants, mostly flowers that bloomed in all seasons. In the center of the greenhouse was a two-story wooden house with no walls. It had no walls so everything can be seen upon entering the greenhouse. The first floor had a spacious living area, dining area, and kitchen, while the second floor had a movie, gaming, and bar area. It was purely designed for the satisfaction of the richest five boys.

"I heard what happened earlier. Are you okay?" Jinho asked Chunhee while eating some beef the academy chef personally prepared for the five.

"I'm okay," Chunhee gave him a smile then suddenly remembered something, "by the way, you're in the same class with Yujin, right?"

Jinho nodded, "Yes, why?"

Reassured that Yujin wasn't around, Chunhee asked, "Do you know his schedule?"

In the surface, it looked like Chunhee was just asking about his crush's details out of sincere love and interest, but deep inside, Chunhee wanted to know this to prevent unnecessary meetings with the man. The Plot God may want him to 'accidentally' cross paths with Yujin numerous times for the romance to develop, but he could avoid this from happening. With Yujin's schedule on his hands, Chunhee might be able to control the number of encounters with him. Just like a person knowing where the bombs were placed in a building, he could avoid them by carefully choosing different paths until he reached the exit.

"Do you want it?" Jinho grinned at Chunhee.

In lined with the previous owner's character, Chunhee shyly nodded.

Jinho stared at him, seeing how adorable Chunhee was, he chuckled and nodded to Chunhee. "Okay okay, I'll give it to you. If not, I'll give you the name who knows it."

Chunhee smiled at him, "Thank you!" Someone else knows it? Who could it be?

"Oh, that reminds me. Chunhee-ah, your engagement party's on the weekend. Are you inviting other students?" Daehyun asked while drinking some tea. Afternoon tea time was the best in this greenhouse.

Chunhee's thoughts about the person who knew Yujin's schedule froze quickly. He felt the gloom in his heart upon hearing the word 'engagement'. It really was just too amazing how a single word could make mood crumble into pieces faster than the wind! Still, he forced himself to give a small smile, something the Sixth Chunhee would always do. "About that… Mom and dad are still overseas. I think it will be… postponed..." I sincerely wish it will be!

"Eh? Postpone? To what date then it's going to be then? All of us here must be informed so we can clear our schedules," Jinho sincerely said. His words actually spoke some facts about their lives. Being kids from wealthy families didn't guarantee a free life after all. They were all tasked to do 'trainings' inside and outside the academy, preparing themselves to take the positions waiting for them.

"A-About that… we haven't discussed about it yet. I'll inform you as soon as I hear of it," Chunhee said as he then picked up a porcelain tea cup, sipping a bit in hopes to calm his tremendously beating heart. His eyes then went down, noticing the chrysanthemum flower design on the cup he was holding.

Slowly, Chunhee's eyes dimmed, his mind started recalling a certain memory from the past. . .

An 18-year-old youth wearing a green scholar dress was walking on a hill near a small temple. The area was filled with abundant grass and vibrant chrysanthemum flowers, the air humid, the wind soft and gently made the flowers dance in a tender rhythm.

In the youth's hands was an ancient type of scroll as his thin lips softly read the words written on it. It was a poem made by one of the best poets in town.
