Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

In a barren valley sat a small dilapidated temple it looked like it had once been a glorious monastery on par with the most majestic Shaolin temples.

However, the once-grand monastery was now nothing more than a single run-down building surrounded by a filthy courtyard and crumbling temple walls.

Inside the temple was a man who had a towering physique his massive body full of exaggerated muscle was covered in battle scars.

A black dragon tattoo covered his inter left arm which was as thick as a tree trunk.

His old solemn face had many wrinkles evidence of his old age.

His sunken old eyes burned with a fierce crimson light that carried an overwhelming savage aura.

The man was completely hairless not a trace of it could be found on his wrinkled body.

He sat in a meditative position wearing only a simple pair of rugged brown pants in his hands he was caressing a long chain of prayer beads while muttering something under his breath.

"Set your body ablaze, set your body ablaze, set your body ablaze, set your body ablaze, set your bod..."

The man repeated this phrase over and over again his aura becoming fiercer and fiercer his breath was like the roar of thunder with each breath the man took the more concentrated his spirit became.

Around the man sat three other young men each had a body full of exaggerated muscle they also sat in meditation repeating the same phrase over and over again.

Until a loud booming voice shouted at them from far away.

"Master I have brought a new disciple," yelled Lu Bai.

The man immediately stopped meditating and looked out at Lu Bai as he sprinted toward the temple.

The man noticed Moa slung over Lu Bai's shoulder he frowned upon seeing this.

Lu Bai ran into the monastery throwing the still unconscious Moa onto the ground Lu Bai smiled and waited to be praised by his master but all he got was a punch to the face.

"What the hell you have to be the dumbest disciple I've ever had I told you to go and get me a new desk at Jiangyin city, not a new disciple you utter moron!!!" yelled the old man.

Lu Bai stood up with a broken nose and a puzzled expression he was very confused he could swear that his master asked to get a new disciple.

"But master Yin Long I swear you told me to look for a new disciple in Xinxian city, not a new desk from Jiangyin city," said Lu Bai as he reset his broken nose.

The man named Yin Long couldn't help but facepalm at Lu Bai's foolishness he believed that he must have something wrong with his brain but he was more concerned about the unconscious young man he just brought in.

He walked over to Moa and turned him over and punched him in the solar plexus Moa's eyes instantly shot open and he began coughing violently.

"What the fuck my chest it burns what the hell is this place!?" yelled Moa in confusion.

Yin Long frowned at the young man's rudeness but he just sighed and told him.

"You are at the peerless temple where we the members of the Peerless Warlord sect train in the peerless scripture to make our bodies as fearsome as the bodies of demonic beasts," said Yin Long with a voice full of pride.

That's when Moa remembered about that asshole Lu Bai he looked around and saw him in the corner rubbing his nose and grumbling obscenities to himself.

"Who fucking prick Lu Bai why did you bash me over the head that hurt you bastard!!!" screamed Moa.

Lu Bai was caught off guard by Moa's intense fury but he just gave a nervous smile and said.

"Sorry but I had to this place is a secret I couldn't let you see the route it takes to get here it was just an extra precaution," said Lu Bai in a sorry tone.

Moa was furious but he just took a breath and calmed himself down a dumbass like him was not worth his time.

As Moa was taking calming breaths Yin Long tapped him on the shoulder.

"Listen, young man, I believe that you're under the impression that you are going to join this sect correct," asked Yin Long.

"Uh? yeah sorry, who are you," said Moa.

"Forgive me my name is Yin Long but you may call me master Long sect leader of the Peerless Warlord sect and it appears you are now a member of my sect even though I didn't want a new disciple," said Yin Long.

"Sigh but it can't be avoided your already here at our hidden temple I guess I could just kill you but it wouldn't be right to kill you because of Lu Bai's stupidity," said an exhausted Yin Long.

Wait what? did this guy say kill me Jesus what have I gotten myself into?

Yin Long noticed Moa's fear so he decided to reassure him.

"Don't worry I said I won't kill you so just calm down besides I hate to admit it but we do need more disciples, after all, I only have four disciples training at this sect," said Yin Long.

Yin long decided he would let Moa join he looked tough enough to handle the intense training of the peerless scripture and if he wasn't then he would die like all the others.

"Follow me boy I must assess your abilities before I begin training you on the way I'll explain about our sect's body refinement method," said Yin Long as he walked towards the far wall.

Yin Long then raised his right foot and stomped on the ground causing the whole temple to shake this made a hidden door open up leading into an underground passageway.

Yin Long walked down the passageway with Moa following him.

Why am I following this guy? thought Moa

I should have never asked to join this sect I should have just followed my original plan and joined the dragon gate sect but no I had to take a chance now I'm probably going to die.

As Moa cursed his terrible choices, Yin Long brought him to an underground testing arena and stopped in the middle of the arena.

"Listen, new disciple, I can tell you have talent the fact you awakened a bloodline as a mortal is evidence of your potential but it appears the bloodline you awakened is only a common one so it won't help you out here so you must prove your strength by fighting me!!!" said Yin Long in a loud booming voice that echoed throughout the entire arena.

"Oh fuck me in the ass," said Moa on the verge of tears.
