I was about to dial him when the phone rang again.
It's Alec.
My father gave me a look as I was really surprised. I startled! I am still on the verge of preparing myself to apologize when there he was, Alec, already trying to reach me.
That made me quite emotional. Now I kinda regret why I put him into shame, leaving him there alone, because I was hurt. But look at me, he was still persistent to reach me, despite of what I did to him.
"Who's calling?" He asked, Leonard was on the table, preparing some food, and boiling the water for me to make some tea.
"It's him."
He smiled. "Whenever you're ready."
I breathe in and make sure my voice was not cracking anymore before I pick up the call. I was a little bit shock when I am not hearing any background voice, I wonder where he is.
"You there?"
"Hey," I talked.
