I gasped. Who are they talking about?
Since I cannot hear the following words anymore, I did my best to take one more step, closer to the door, till my ear is already peeking inside. From what I could understand, Gabriel was whispering something to Alec, and the tone of his voice is serious, which is different from the way I used to know.
"Jacob!"
"Shit!" I blurt out all of a sudden when I heard Carla talked to him.
"Carla!" I hissed. And when I turned my head, that's where I saw Jacob too, eavesdropping on our end.
"I was just shocked that he was here!" Carla hissed back.
"Who are you guys peeking at?" Jacob asked with his normal voice, unaware of what we're trying to do.
