Alec looked at him and then swift his eyes to look straight into my face.
"Yes sir, I'm happy to have her."
The wind blew the moment Alec told me those words. I have heard it loud and clear. He was not just happy, but rather happy to have me.
I stared at his face and to my surprise, the usual emotionless face is now smiling right in front of me. The same way how lights outside the restaurant was shining behind him. He looks so perfectly fine.
"I know this might be a little personal to ask you this..." My father stated. "But what's between you and that Peter, my boss? Because honestly, ever person that's connected to Peter has something to do with unclean business, you know."
