"No," Jade chuckled. "We're just friends."
"Friends like?"
"Like this..." She went anxious. "Like us...friends."
There was a moment of silence occurred between the two of them. Jade bit her lip as she didn't expect her answer would turned out that way too. Perhaps reinstating that they're only friends is the safest way since they both have no idea what their status is.
"Friends," Alec repeated. This time around, she did not respond anymore and drink her beer.
"I see," he concluded. "I understand. I'm just quite confused since you know, you see and treat that guy different from any other friends that you have."
"You know how I treated you before."
"Before, yeah." Alec repeated. Jade frowned as she don't know how to take that. Was he jealous? Or he just wanted to state their relationship?
"Yes, how else should I treat you now?"
"I don't know." Alec quickly respond. "I don't even know what we are."
