(A/N: Do Check out my new book - RE:LIFE with Karmic Gacha (Modern Family) )
-Kamar Taj-
The Ancient One was standing face to face with a gentleman in a red and black suit. The gentleman wore a black fedora on his head, and a white bone cane on his left hand – smiling innocently as he faced the woman in monk clothes.
"So Jake. Mind telling me why do you feel the need to keep me in this battle?" The Ancient One asked, her voice lacking patience despite her talking calmly.
Mephisto replied with a smirk, "Why of course… For us to enjoy the show together. Isn't that enough considering our relationship?"
"Despite all of your schemes, you won't be able to succeed. Not while I'm still alive." The Ancient One said and opened the eye of the Agamotto necklace, revealing the green glow of the time stone.
"Oh Yes Yes. The Sorcerer Supreme is now angry. Tell me, Sorcerer, when did time start to elude you?" Mephisto asked knowingly.
Favia was silent and started to prepare a spell for the upcoming battle.
"You know the cause of it. We all do But you are trying to protect the boy who will soon destroy this whole universe."
"He won't do that." The Ancient One said calmly. "Tell me. What have you done to the mortal world that you feel the need to see this matter through?"
Mephisto gritted his teeth as he had already seen the destruction of his kingdom with Ryan Knight's ascension.
"The matter doesn't concern you any longer. After today, reality will be rid of its savior." Mephisto said and changed into his demonic form.
"It's not only him who can blur the lines of time," Mephisto smirked, his claws protruding, becoming 10-inch-long, razor-sharp claws. His gentleman suit changed to that of a leotard with a deep V-neck design, and his height increased to become 4 meters tall together with his size.
The Ancient One summoned the Sword of Weishan to help her in this battle.
"Let's each do our best for the last duel, Sorcerer."
"Our feelings are…mutual today," Favia replied. "That's disgusting…for me."
Mephisto, "..."
…
-Present time-
"So we brought Skynet back. What's the plan after that?" Barton said as he pointed at the android that tagged along in their trip back to the present. "Also, what's going on here?"
Thor automatically threw his hammer toward the Scarabs surrounding the summit building.
"It's a full-blown war now," Natasha muttered as she split herself into multiple duplicates to help the army protect the summit hall.
Barton shot a Quincy bow for the last time, destroying the Time Chair that Kang was using. He slumped down on the floor and lost all of his fighting capabilities after releasing his last arrow for the day.
"NOO!" Kang yelled. "Do you even know what you have done! Now, time won't be able to change!"
"Sorry. Tony will pay for the damages later." Barton replied weakly as he pointed at Tony who was walking out of his dead suit. Steve helped Barton to stand by putting Barton's hand over his shoulder.
"I will get the money from your paycheck then," Tony said as he called his backup suit from the Avenger Tower. He connected to the Avenger Towers butler and as he did so.
"Call the medic," Steve ordered. "Got it," Tony replied. Hulk held Kang's head in one of his hands and warned, "Make a move, and I will crush your head like a grape."
"..." Kang was stunned speechless by the era he found himself in.
"Jarvis, you there?" Tony asked using the communication channel.
"I'm here sir. What happened to your armor, sir? I couldn't get the data from them."
"You got kidnapped by the future ULTRON. Now, you have become a terminator robot who has returned to the past so you can kill Ryan.."
"That seems highly unlikely sir. If anything, I will return to the past to kill you – my creator."
"..."
"That was just a joke."
"That wasn't funny Jarvis."
"I'm sorry sir. I will send the reinforcement now."
"@616233-1 Alpha Zero Lambda." Suddenly, Vision stood up from his lying down position and muttered random numbers.
"What? Is he broken?" Steve asked as he saw the light of the infinity stone had dimmed, and the stone became lifeless after they returned to the present time.
"No. That's my freaking password. JARVIS. SHUT DOWN THE ULTRON UNIT! NOW!" Tony yelled out, but it was too late.
From the Stark satellite orbiting the Earth, Tony's unlaunched Ultrons unit was taken over by Vision in his quest to destroy Ryan Knight. Hundreds of Ultron units flew into the Earth's atmosphere and were now flying toward the summit location.
"How many did you make?!" Natasha asked.
"...about 1000. It was just a prototype." Tony said guiltily.
"Doesn't matter if there's a thousand or ten thousand of them. The tin-man will be no match for the Might of the prince of thunder." Thor said as he summoned the lightning clouds in the air.
Tony rolled his eyes at Thor and awaited his suit to arrive.
It was at this moment Kai launched the counterattacks against the Scarabs and the mobile base, making the Scarabs attacking the summit building disappear.
"Kai is coming here," Natasha said, her poker face failing to hide her excitement this time.
"That's…Great." Steve said as he pried a head off the Scarab's body.
"Carol is free. Gwen and Carol will try to stop Kang's mothership." Natasha added.
"Kang. It's over." Steve said to the fallen conqueror. A few of the Knight army's Templars squadron arrived at the scene and handcuffed Kang. The Templars would guard the conqueror to ensure he couldn't scheme something else during the time of crisis.
"It's not over yet. When the time comes, you will need me, more than you ever did." Kang muttered underneath his breath before the Avengers left him in the hands of the Templars.
…
Vision recollected himself and recalculated his mission requirement.
"Primary directive: Return to 2005. Failed. Calculating New Directive. Kill the END before he changes."
"Calculating END's position. 500 meters East. Calculating enemy defense. Chance of success without any help: 0.4%"
"Chance to succeed with an army: 12%"
"Searching for ways to increase the chances of success. Result: None."
While Vision was computing, Tony called him from afar.
"VISION!"
The android turned to Tony.
"Tony Stark. You've doomed us all." Vision said.
"No. You're the one who will bring doom. Ryan won't change into the END you said. He won't turn into a mindless killing machine. After all, we've been through together, I trust him."
"I know. I trust him too." Vision replied unexpectedly, causing Tony to be stunned.
"What the hell is this conversation?" Hulk muttered gruffly. Steve beside him shrugged as even he didn't understand what was going on.
"It wasn't his fault. But his gifts…was taken over by-"
"STOP!" Suddenly, a projectile of Eldritch blast shot towards the Vision, causing him to take a step back. From the puddle behind the android, a red-dressed witch crawled out of the puddle and jumped on top of him.
Wanda attacked Vision's mind, trying to look within, but the android turned permeable as he threw Wanda toward where the Avengers were standing. Wanda stabilized her body, and stopped her momentum before she crashed into the Hulk– Her face stopped directly in front of the monster, leaving only a distance of 2 inches between them.
"I will catch you if you don't stop," Hulk said in dissatisfaction, his hand already in place to help catch Wanda.
"I believe you," Wanda replied. "It's just…This is a new dress." She muttered.
"Are you saying my hand is dirty?" Hulk asked angrily.
"Smell it first, then get mad at him," Thor interjected from the side. Hulk did what Thor told, and he growled in dissatisfaction.
"It smells fine."
"Maybe for you, you big ogre."
"You want to fight Blondie?"
"COME ON!" Thor held Mjolnir in his arms and got into a battle-ready position. Natasha face-palmed while Steve narrowed his eyes at the duo.
"Can't you people see what's in front of you? We're fighting a robot from the future. Be more serious guys!" Tony said in exasperation. "Also, you're the mage from Kamar Taj… Why are you here?" Tony asked Steven Strange who revealed himself when Vision wanted to mention the name of the perpetrator of the whole incident.
"The Ancient One sent us here to protect Ryan Knight from the mystical threats. We've been protecting him since yesterday from the mirror dimension." Strange said. He adorned the levitating cloak as he completed his study on the mystical arts and managed to pick his artifacts up.
Wong was protecting the Sanctum with the other Masters of the Mystical arts on high alert as the Ancient One wasn't around.
"The what now?" Steve asked in confusion.
"A parallel space," Wanda replied simply. She had learned about this information from Ryan before, and even managed to build her own space through his teachings.
Vision widened his eyes when he saw Wanda. "The bride." Vision muttered.
"Who's the bride?" Wanda asked in confusion, looking around to see who the robot was referring to.
"You're the bride of the END. You're his source of power. Killing you now will increase the chance of success into 23%" Vision said, flying at an extreme speed towards Wanda. However, Steve was already ready to block the attack.
Vision's fist clashed with the unbreakable shield. As he was stopped, Hulk and Thor attacked the android at the same time.
Vision turned permeable and entered the ground, but Strange casted a spell that flipped the space inside the ground, making the android reappear in the same space in which he dived in before.
Thor and Hulk's attack connected, pushing the android behind 400 meters.
"Protect Ryan. Don't let him get near the summit." Steve said, leading the battle by putting his shield in front. "Wanda. Don't put your guard down." Natasha said with a whisper. The witch nodded at the widow's advice and controlled her chaos magic to create a runic barrier on her body.
"Who is this guy anyway?" Wanda asked.
"Basically terminator. He came here from the future so he can kill Ryan." Natasha explained simply.
"Why?" Dr. Strange asked. "If you can tell me about it, I can determine the entity with which we're dealing with right now."
"I don't know. Ryan got mad in the future and freezed the entire world." Natasha replied. "Any ideas."
"Yeah. I have. Whatever happens, We must never mention the demon's name. Otherwise, it would take over Ryan sooner than it was supposed to happen." Strange said in a solemn tone.
"How can we stop people from mentioning the name if we don't even know the name ourselves-" Before Tony could even finish his words, Strange transferred the demon's name into the mind of each and every individual present there.
"Got it?" Strange asked.
"...I will be sure to crack the science behind this magic thingy soon too," Tony vowed to himself.
The group saw Vision standing unscathed from far away even after taking a direct hit from two heavy hitters.
"That thing is invulnerable. How can we defeat him?" Natasha asked. "Barton could bypass that thing's defense, but he's out of juice," Steve replied. "Wanda, Strange. Any ideas?" Steve asked as he turned to the magical duo.
"I will try," Strange said and dived into his mind to find the magic that could help them. Wanda had a complicated expression on her face, causing Natasha to ask her a question in a concerned tone, "What's going on?"
"He said. I'm the bride? That means…Did I marry Mr. Knight in that terrible future?" Wanda asked, semi-blushing and semi-horrified from the realization.
"..." Natasha was speechless, and changed the subject quickly, "We must focus. The swarm is already here."
Ultron's robots arrived above Washington's airspace. Tony explained to Strange about every detail of the future for Strange to find the perfect way to help them. Without vouching from Ryan, he won't even trust the Kamar Taj sorcerers, but Ryan had explained their importance to Earth and their reality.
Despite Tony being dissatisfied with being the ones protected than being the ones providing protection, he understood why Kamar Taj never interfered with humanity's development after a thorough lecture from Ryan.
" Time did not work that way. " Strange muttered.
" You think so, Sherlock? I'd have been trying to tell him that." Tony snarled.
"Vision dude. Did you hear us? Nothing will change if you kill Ryan now. Your world won't be fixed." Tony shouted at the android.
"I understand time. My world has already been destroyed, and I could not do anything about it. However, I can prevent your world from suffering the same fate as us." Vision said.
"Playing the martyr I see," Tony said in frustration. His suit arrived and he changed into his Mark 10 armor. Instead of the armor being in red and gold, this armor was designed with black and gold color.
"Last chance Vision. Stop what you're doing, and we will find a peaceful solution together. Otherwise, I will hunt every single copy of you and destroy them even if you're one of my creations." Tony gave the android an ultimatum.
Vision didn't reply. The Ultron robots landed next to Vision as the airspace around the summit building was protected by Thor's lightning and the Templar's protection.
The robots marched toward the summit building to kill Ryan.
"So be it," Tony replied. The Avengers marched toward the robots, and the most awaited battle began.
-Outer space-
Gwen and Carol managed to break through the mother ship's hull and were now wreaking havoc within the mothership.
"Dear, is this all you need me to do?" Gwen asked as she inserted a USB transmitter into Kang's mothership controls.
"Yes, Dear. That's all." Ryan replied, sitting casually on his chair in the summit hall.
"ALBUS?" Ryan called out.
"It's shameful to admit, I'm sorry sir. The system is too advanced for me to break into instantly. I will need 5 minutes to get into all of it."
As Ryan nodded politely to the Symkaria representative who came to ask him some questions, he muttered to ALBUS, "No rush~"
