A few hours after the battle with Quasar.
"This is getting troublesome." Dawn muttered. He moved quickly as his instinct was telling him the longer he dilly-dallied, the more enemies he would face.
"Yeah. Even before the cosmic entity intervenes, the mission was hard enough." Ryan agreed. He used Dawn's cut off hand as a backscratcher, and it irked the half elf.
"Why do we even have to save the Fantastic 4 in the first place? It's not like there is a reward for it now. You already know about the truth of the matter, right?" Dawn asked as he snatched back his arm from Ryan.
"..."
Seeing Ryan's silence, Dawn sighed. "Find a quest reward for it. Or use your connection to create one." He said while pointing at Ryan using the cut off arm. Then, he stored his severed arm in his storage ring.
It would help them to increase their Tiers in the marketplace – albeit a little. The condition to get to Tier 4 was to create quests instead of completing them, and right now, he was barely 1/10 in his route to get to Tier 4.
"I will. Like you said, there aren't any benefits in saving the Fantastic 4 now. But…the Unbeing trying to block our way really irks you right?" Ryan said.
Dawn grinned and replied, "Yeah. At this moment, I would even destroy the King's planet just to get back at the bastard."
He focused on the stump of his right hand that was cut off at his biceps. His senses were telling him that his hand had never existed in the first place. The Unbeing's power had erased his right hand from existence, and he wanted payback for it.
"I guess that's why it couldn't be regenerated." He muttered. "It was never there."
The duo talked with each other for a while before Ryan's true body teleported back to Earth. Immense anger was brewing inside Dawn, but he kept a poker face as he sat on the Captain's seat. He had let the Guardian's of the Galaxy go, and Gamora has been feeding him on what happened the entire time.
On Earth, Ryan and Kai also had a sharp look on their faces. They got a feeling that this wasn't the last time they would face Unbeing. The islanders received the news about the incident, and they were in a full blown rage.
Without saying a word, all the adults in the realm were getting ready for war.
Ryan searched in the rent function of the trading site, trying to find something that could destroy the Unbeing in its entirety. His eyes were sharp, and the ones around him almost suffocated by the aura that he gave out.
Mephisto: Calm down.
Hydra: I am calm.
Mephisto: No you aren't. Also, Origin and Unbeing exist side by side. Want revenge? Then find the Origin.
Hydra: Nah, I want to do it myself.
Mephisto: Listen to me. Don't make other entities have a reason to move against you. Especially on the crime of killing a cosmic entity.
Hydra: I'll think about it.
Mephisto : (concerned.gif) Dude. You're on no level right now to face the Tribunal. Please. I'm begging you to calm down. I don't want to lose a friend.
Inside Arcadia.
Hela gripped her fist tightly after hearing the details of the entire incident. "Unbeing…" She muttered underneath her breath. She learned about the entities in the universe before in Asgard. Her supposed-to-be-father had encountered the beings in his youth.
She walked to Dawn's side, and whispered something to him. " I want to help you in the battle."
"Are you sure? The Battle Angel android hasn't been tested yet."
"I'm sure. This time, I want to fight with you and secure our victory. You're too helpless to do it alone." Hela said haughtily. Although he was underestimated, Dawn knew that Hela had thought deeply about this. She had rejected the battle angel – an android unit that was designed to hold her consciousness outside of the underworld, multiple times before.
To not fight with her own powers was insulting for her. But this time was an exception. This time, the rage inside of her will drive her crazy if it wasn't released somewhere.
Park Shin silently sat in the corner and sharpened her sword. Her cheerfulness was gone, and her face was full of ruthlessness.
Annika, the self-proclaimed avatar of the Deer God joined the crew in their journey rather than keeping the order on the island. Her anger materialized as a dark red aura swirling around her body, and she tried extremely hard to hide his anger from Dawn and the others.
Suddenly, the Arcadia ship swayed as someone landed on top of it, again. "Is she back?" Annika said with a glint of ferociousness in her eyes.
"Nah. That's just the hairy man." Park Shin said, turning back her attention to her sword after reading the data in the monitor.
Hercules, who had been tracking Dawn everywhere, even asking favors from the other gods in Olympus to find him, guffawed and excitedly waited for Dawn. This time, he won't let Dawn run away from the duel. "I found you Dawn Everstar! Now-"
As usual, Dawn teleported outside to chase the annoying god away. Unexpectedly, Hercules was stunned when he laid eyes on Dawn, and rage enveloped the already hot-tempered god.
"Now it's not the time Herc-"
"WHO DID THIS?!" He asked, full of rage and concern for Dawn.
Hercules didn't have many friends with his hot-tempered personality. However, in his multiple meetings with Dawn, not only did he not fear him, but he treated him as an equal.
That's why he wanted to fight Dawn. Fighting was the only way that he felt comfortable in making friends.
"What are you? Whitebeard? Should I answer with 'I exchange it with hope for the future generation?' Is that it?"
"What are you rambling about Everstar? Who was the one who had taken your arm from you!?" Hercules asked, not understanding.
" A cosmic entity." Dawn replied casually.
"Let's kill it then!" Hercules said, full of rage as he twirls his Golden Mace made of unbreakable Adamantine.
"Sure. You want to travel with me? I am sure that I will meet some of its avatars on my journey."
Hercules was stunned for a while as Dawn accepted his invitation he didn't think much about readily. And once a god had given his words, he won't go back on it.
"I will be the Captain!" Hercules said.
"Dream on." Dawn replied as he rolled his eyes. A sudden realization came to him as he brought Hercules inside the ship. He ignored Hercules who was rubbing his eyes a few times as he saw Hela's projection and thought to himself, 'Is he…my first friend that I made myself?'
The islanders, the pokemon, Somalian people, and even Hela – he came in contact with them because he wanted to complete a quest and as a reward from it.
'I didn't expect this. Why…did I close myself from the outside world again?'
His experience of hiding his existence from the knowledge of mankind and hiding up in his hidden island, which was now a realm of his own came bubbling up into the surface. He noticed that his life before followed an imposed role on him, but he wasn't sure what.
He shared his experience with Ryan, which was then conveyed to Kai.
Not surprisingly, Kai had the same doubt in his experience, but he too wasn't sure what it was.
Ryan entered the white space in his message from the founder, and stared at the unmoving projection of the founder. "Is this the side effect you talked about?"
He managed to hear the word side effect in the 2 seconds the projection was speaking before its loading again. It has been a month since.
He returned back to reality and checked the data from the scout drones that already arrived at the King's planet. He swallowed his saliva after seeing the numbers of enemies waiting for him. The good news was, the innocents on the planet were already evacuated.
"I already expect they will get ready after the cosmic entity intervenes in this. So, a few of his avatars were there huh?"
His drones spread out all over the planets as he studied every single aspect of the battlefield there.
Also inside Arcadia, the emissary from Xandar was in a difficult situation.
"Captain Everstar, what is it exactly that you wanted to do?" Gia muttered. Jay, Deet and Arina looked at each other before they turned to the emissary.
"Centurion Gia. We…Quit."
Gia's mouth opened wide after she heard that.
"Why?" She asked anxiously.
"To join the upcoming battle. If we join in with our Xandarian identity, the situation would be problematic." Deet replied. Arina then added, "Also. The Xandar army needs to stand by. We might need it."
"I won't mobilize our army to another civilization's important planet. Xandar will receive heavy backlash from the mobilization." Gia said sternly.
"It's not a question of 'will' or 'Won't' Centurion Gia. It's a matter of life or death for all of the people of Xandar." Jay said, and she took out the report she received from the Mandalorian. About an energy immense enough to destroy ⅓ of the Xandar's colony located in the Skrulls King's planet.
After contemplating for a while, Gia decided to contact the Xandar main planet.
"Hello Hello~!" A giddy voice answered the call from inside of the Nova Corps.
"Richard. We might need you. So get ready?" Gia said.
"Might need? That's insulting." Richard Rider replied. After disconnecting the call, he picked up his helmet and gathered along with the rest of the Nova Corps.
…
The Milano ship.
"It's crowded isn't it?" Rocket Raccoon said as he piloted the ship on behalf of Quill. The trio had hit it off in their journey and they even talked about traveling together in the ship to dabble in some mischief together.
Phyla-Vell and Adam Warlock had entered the ship, and right now, Gamora's sword was on the assaulter's neck.
"Can you give me a reason why I shouldn't take off your head right here and now?" Gamora said, furious about the fact that Phyla-Vell had cut off Dawn's hand.
Although she stayed in the ship for only a short amount of time, the sincerity of the crew and the Captain had caused her to be biased toward them. Not many people in the world would accept a well-known murderer who was an agent of the universe tyrant with an open mind.
Phyla-Vell held her head down as she contemplated her actions. She could say that she was influenced by the Unbeing and attacked Dawn, but deep down she knew it wasn't true. She was the instigator in the incident. Not only that, she had crippled the man who has a reputation of being kind in the galaxy.
The Defenders of the Universe. That's what Gamora told Quill and the others before. Dawn wants them to join the crew and they will move on their own, solving problems all around the galaxy. That was their offer to them.
Quill, Groot, Adam Warlock, and Rocket have no problems with following Dawn, especially when he promised them benefits in joining the organization. Personal ships, magic knowledge, healing, and more.
Adam Warlock held Gamora's blade gently and pushed it down, away from Phyla-Vell's neck.
"I know her. She won't do something like this unless she's distraught. Dawn Everstar, and me, could sense the being behind her, trying to influence her. I think he too won't blame her for what she had done." Adam tried to mediate for the weakened Phyla-Vell.
Now that she had fully rejected Unbeing's power, if she met Dawn face-to-face again, he could kill her in less than 5 seconds.
Warlock didn't know why, but Dawn's existence was a mystery for him. His sense was telling him that the half-elf wasn't supposed to exist – at least not now.
"He'll go to the Skrull planet right? Isn't he suicidal in the first place? Why should he care about his hand then?" Rocket said sarcastically.
"I am Groot." Groot said sternly.
"What- Groot. Did you just curse at me?"
Gamora replied, "He is going there to free some of his people that have been captured. One of his crew told me."
Phyla-Vell's heart was stabbed after hearing his aim.
"So, he will fight an entire civilization just to get a few people? Is he…stupid?" Rocket said, his voice gradually became kinder than usual.
"No. He's strong." Adam Warlock interjected.
"I-" Phyla-Vell muttered, causing all of the people there to look at her. "The voice said…if he went there, it would unravel all of reality."
"But he said it while mimicking Origin right?" Adam Warlock quickly tried to defend Phyla-Vell.
"Yeah…And that's the problem. If he mimicked Origin to say it, then…wouldn't the opposite happen in Unbeing's aim?"
Quill eyes opened wide after hearing that. "WHAT!?" The rest of the crew was also shocked when they realized it.
"Gamora! Can you still contact Arcadia?" Quill asked, revealing the secret that Gamora had told him before. She tried to contact them, but all she heard was static.
"They had entered the civilization line. All communication is blocked unless they use the Skrulls' frequency." Rocket explained.
"Guys.. We have a big problem here." Quill said while holding his forehead.
" I will go there to help him." Phyla-Vell said.
"He might kill you if you get close to him." Rocket said pessimistically.
"I…I need to try."
"We need to try." Adam said. "Quill. We need to follow them."
"Are you mad? We all are going to die if we go there!!" Quill said anxiously.
"It's better to try than to suddenly disappear right?" Adam said while smiling.
"You know. I really don't like you." Quill said and he sat on the Captain's seat. He grabbed the handle and changed the direction of the spaceship.
"I vote for the name, Ass Kicking of the Fantastic for our team name." Rocket said, making fun of the Defender of the Universe title. Gamora looked weirdly at him, so he said, "What? You said to pick our own name."
The Skrull King's Planet:
The advanced civilization city gleamed in the sunlight, showing purity unencumbered and untarnished by anything. The skyscrapers were modified into orbital defense weapons, and the King's palace was protected with a tough energy shield.
A flying animal crashed into the shield, and the only trace of existence it has in the universe was the few broken feathers that managed to survive.
A sea of the alien army stood in dignity as they waited for the enemy . One million Skrulls in full armor were standing in front of the King's Castle, which was also the parliamentary building for the Skrulls. They held an energy rifle in their arms, and their face was covered with a helmet.
Multiple energy tanks, killer drones, flying vehicles and super-powered Skrulls were standing by on the front line, waiting for the enemy to come.
The Warships and countless fighter ships were circling the planet, wary of the invader to come.
(In Skrulls language) "My King, they are here." A random Skrull Vice-Commander said while kneeling in front of the king.
The Skrull King, who once was just an ordinary king, now exudes an aura comparable to that of a God of Olympus and an Asgardian God.
"Get ready. Kill them before they reach the surface." The King ordered, his eyes pure white, his pupils gone after he accepted the offer of a cosmic entity. Dawn's plan to stealthily move on the King's planet was gone after the entity decided to interfere.
In the research lab near the building, the researchers were running around busily to complete the king's order.
At the center of the 500 meter wide hall, 4 cryo-chambers were erected, and an energy siphon was connected to each one of them. The cosmic energy inside the Fantastic Four was then redirected to the 3 cubic centimeter rectangular crystal.
The same type of crystal was found by Ryan Knight a long time ago – The M'Kraan crystal. The crystal was extremely rare to find, and the king wouldn't even have gotten it if it wasn't from the contract with the cosmic entity.
Reed Richard with his gray hair on the side of his head, Susan Storm who was wearing almost nothing, Johnny Storm who was ignited, and Benjamin Grimm who had his human appearance instead of The Thing's appearance.
"Finally. We can rewrite the entire universe, and make the Skrulls empire the lone tyrant in the galaxy!" A hysterical scientist exclaimed as the King had opened his eyes to the truth. Doge Fenu Udu, the main scientist loyal to the emperor then informed the emperor of his success.
Shi'ar, Xandar, Kree, and every single one of the species that could threaten the Skrull's ambition would disappear after today – including the earthlings. The machine has been charged for almost a week now, and the final calculations were finally done. In one hour, the universe will only be, for the Skrulls.
"That stupid Dard'van priestess couldn't even handle some primitive planet. Such an embarrassment." Dorrek VII muttered angrily.
Dorrek VII, the Skrull King responsible for the plan, was also the person responsible for instigating Veranke– Princess of the Dard'van religion, to attack Earth while his scientist studied Ryan's glasses to find ways for the Skrull to bypass them.
His agents on Earth were also responsible for finding his grandson, a Kree-Skrull hybrid that his daughter birthed after falling in love with a Kree, their sworn enemy. (A/N: He is Hulkling, but I won't get to the Skrull family drama).
Dorrek VII raised his head to the transparent ceiling on top of him.
"They have come." He muttered.
The Arcadia received a transmission from the Skrulls planet.
Dawn picked up the call, and the Captain of the Arcadia and Dorrek VII, the King of the Skrull came face to face for the first time.
"I know why you came here. And you won't get what you want." Dorrek VII said in a condescending manner. "Turn your ship around, and eternal War between the Skrull and Arcadia won't happen. We'll even spare your pet project – Earth, from receiving the aftermath."
"Shut up old man." Dawn replied, causing the Skrulls around the King to drop their jaws.
"It's war one way or another, so why don't you give it your best shot to stop me?" He said with an innocent smile on his face. The King became wrathful after hearing it.
"If that's what you want. Then Die.!"
Hundreds of warship's weapons and the planet's orbital defense weapons were aimed at Arcadia, leaving them with no way out from the situation.
(A/N- P.S , We need a Galactic level threat for the Guardians of the Galaxy right?)
