Chapter 230 - Chapter 225: Trouble in Time.

Kang and Vision traded blows after blows for a limited amount of times. The wind pressure from Kai's and Vision's duel almost destroyed some of Ultron's units in the process.

Hulk was fighting with two combines of 10 Ultron's robots, with the robot siphoning his gamma radiation to weaken him.

"Kai! What do you mean by GWEN!" Tony asked as he helped the Hulk by attacking the gamma siphon part of the Ultron Anti-Hulk robots. He used a laser cutter to penetrate deep into the Anti-Hulk robot, and ripped out its core.

"Just leave it." Kai screamed back. He slashed at his side without looking, and opened up a hole in Steve's encirclement.

"Thank you." Steve said from afar, jumping on the head of another Ultron unit, and bashing them open with his shield.

Vision concentrated his energy on his forehead, and shot it out at Kai. Kai avoided the beam, but Vision followed his figure around by turning his head.

"I don't want to kill you." Vision said as he turned off the beam. Kai was unscathed, but was pushed back 20 meters away from Vision.

"What do you know? Both of us are thinking the same thing." Kai said with a smirk.

Kai's figure flashed on the battlefield, his eyes carrying a golden hue as he enveloped his sword in sword qi.

"Rend!" Kai said as he slashed at Vision's arm. His blade gnashed through Vision's elbows, severing Vision's left hand from the rest of his body.

Vision took the chance to permeate his right hand onto Kai's stomach, wanting to pull out his intestinal organs in the process. However, his hands were blocked before it could even penetrate Kai's stomach. (A/N: Don't want to kill, proceed to killing him anyways)

"You can't permeate through a companion beast." Kai muttered. He had adorned his companion beast - Leviathan armor on his body. The skin-thin armor was worn beneath his black Armani suit when the battle started.

Vision didn't change his expression even when he lost an arm. "If you're here, maybe Earth will stand a chance." Vision muttered as he looked at Kai.

"Hmm?" Kai turned to Vision with a confused look, but Vision didn't explain what he was thinking.

"Strange. Where's the Ancient one?" Kai asked.

"She is at Kamar Taj. I have been trying to open the portal there, but I can't!" Dr. Strange said urgently. Wanda was trying to help Strange open up the portal, but she also couldn't force her way into the sanctum's defense – not before she became the Scarlet Witch.

-Outer Space-

" I have a bad feeling about this." Adam Warlock said as the duo were getting near Kang's mothership. Gamora instinctively brought the ship to a sudden halt after Adam's word.

"What did you sense?" Gamora asked. She had an absolute trust in Adam's instinct as he was connected to the universe's cosmic awareness.

"The ship itself is a trap. Those who enter will find themselves stuck in time."

"I see." Gamora pushed the lever forward without thinking much. Adam nodded at Gamora's action as he agreed to it.

There was an unspoken understanding between them after working together for a while. If Adam didn't ask them to retreat, then that means he was only saying what his instincts were telling him so that the team can prepare for the upcoming battle .

Inside the mothership, Gwen and Carol were decimating Kang's subordinates. Some of them were able to teleport, and some of them were able to move extremely fast, but it wasn't of much trouble for the female duo.

"So, the wedding is in January?" Carol asked as she punched a gray-skinned Kang's henchman.

"Yeah. You will come, right?" Gwen asked as dozens of blades flew from the wings of her Mercy battle suit and stabbed the head of Kang's subordinates.(A/N: Did I seem sexist here?)

Gwen suddenly heard a transmission from Ryan as she was reaching Kang's mothership bridge.

"Gwen. Get out of there. NOW!" Ryan said, flying in outer space with the fastest speed he could muster .

He couldn't teleport inside the ship as Kang had already blocked the spatial coordinates of his place which covered the area of 100km. Ryan teleported onto the nearest location he could before he started flying toward the mothership.

"Fucking hell. This was his true aim!" Ryan muttered to himself after analyzing Kang's action when he came to the summit hall before this. He didn't come for Ryan, but to identify his weakness in that short amount of time he had.

Ryan only got to know about his master plan because Albus was able to ALBUS break into Kang's system. He saw that the body of the ship was flickering, and it almost disappeared from the timeline with both Gwen and Carol inside of it.

"Fuck!" Ryan cursed as he arrived on the ship's hull. His body became permeable and he passed through the ship's defense to enter the ship – at the last moment before the ship was able to disappear.

In his jail cell, Kang smirked and said, "Now. I won."

Vision suddenly stopped his army after he knew that Ryan Knight was gone. As Vision's mission directive, his disappearance needed Vision to change his tactics.

The Scarabs were all gone after the ninjas and Black Panther had destroyed the time nodes inside the mobile base above the sky. After the mothership was gone, the mobile base stopped spawning, and Kang's attack was finally over.

"What happened?" Steve asked.

"R…" Tony was in disbelief, not trusting the data that JARVIS had shown him. "Ryan…is gone."

"His degeneration has begun. I am too late." Vision muttered. The android turned to Tony and begged, "Prepare for it. Please."

Kai suddenly staggered even though he was perfectly unscathed by the battle. "KAI!" Natasha, who had been watching him run toward him, slid through the floor on her knees, and caught him before he fell.

"What's going on?" Natasha said, slapping Kai's face a few times to make him regain his consciousness.

At Omniscient city, the same thing happened with Dawn. After drinking his cup of wine, Dawn suddenly falls face first onto the table, shocking the entire group of Olympian Gods.

"Dawn?" Hela asked in concern, she could sense that Dawn's power was decreasing.

"Who DARES TO POISON HIM!" Hela said accusingly, breaking through the limitations of her mind to summon a necrosword with her android body.

"That's…. Goddess of Death!" Zeus said with his voice shaking. "Hela Odinsdottir!"

All of the Olympians hurriedly retreated from Hela and Dawn's table after they heard what Zeus had just said.

Hera's face turned ashen, while Aphrodite's became extremely excited at the prospect of chaos beginning to stir.

Ares saw Aprodite's interest in the couple, and he was enraged. He was already enraged by Dawn's treatment in Olympus even when he was a new god. He was enraged that Dawn's partner has unparalleled beauty and strength, and he was enraged that the new god was more powerful than he was.

Now that the new god was weakened, he had a chance.

"Hela." Dawn called in a weak voice. Hela turned to him quickly and helped him to stabilize by transferring some of the android's energy to him.

But Dawn didn't lose his consciousness – as the city had blocked him from the influence and was created to preserve a god's divinity.

He could only stand with Hela's help, and his powers were gradually decreasing.

"I swear. I will kill all of the gods who were involved in this!" Hela said with gritted teeth.

"No. It's… Something else…" Dawn said weakly. The energy was finally able to stabilize Dawn's situation and he was able to stand up again.

"Hela…We need to get back to Earth…Now…" Dawn said in a cold and ruthless tone. "I need to kill someone."

As Hela walked with Dawn to exit the pantheon, Ares ( who looked like David Thewlis – Wonder woman's Ares) stood on the path to block Dawn and Hela.

"Leaving so soon?" Ares said mockingly. "How about a duel before you go?"

Hercules was enraged that someone from his pantheon had stoop so low to poison his close friend and insulted his honor as he had vowed to Dawn before he wouldn't be harmed if he stepped into Olympus.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAREEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!" Hercules bellowed, his anger was at the apex. He thought that Dawn's weakness or poisoned state was Ares' planning.

Hercules ran toward Ares and punched him in the face, bashing his entire face into his trojan-helmet protected helmet. Ares flew backward and crashed onto the other gods' visitors table on the pantheon.

A dumpling god that looked like an actual dumpling was startled by Ares landing on its table. It managed to jump upward, and landed on Ares' body as he fell.

Ares stood back up, his nose bloodied by the sudden punch. "You'll pay for that." Ares said.

As Hercules and Ares wanted to start fighting, Dawn unexpectedly swooped in.

"I'll accept the duel…if you will put your life on the line."

Zeus, Hera, and the other Olympian Gods changed their expression after Dawn's sentence. From the mocking expression, to the ones with fear and anxiousness.

"I accept!" Ares laughed mockingly and accepted the duel graciously. '

"I will send you back to the bosom of your girlfriend…forever this time." Ares mocked.

Hela smiled in amusement of the idiot's self-confidence. Dawn walked to face Ares, and turned to Zeus.

Zeus understands his request without Dawn even opening his mouth.

"By Olympus's commandment, those who lost in the duel will forfeit their life, their divinity, and return to their place of birth to wait for their next incarnation into the world."

"The duel has now begun." Hera stood up and announced it.

Ares took out his axe and lunged toward Dawn. However, chains appeared from the floors of the Omnipotence city, binding Ares's limb, making him immobile in seconds.

Dawn staggered toward Ares as his casting consumed a big part of the backup energy Hela had transferred to him to keep existing.

[Drain touch]

"ARGHHH!!!" Ares let out an inhuman scream as Dawn placed his palm on his neck. He writhed in pain and tried to jerk his entire body off, his blood vessels in his eyes popped out, blood coming out from every part of his orifice.

Zeus turned his head away from looking at his son, understanding that this was the end of him.

The demigods felt immense fear from Dawn's ruthlessness. Some fell on the ground as their knees gave up on them. Some started crying for Ares. Some gloated at Ares' stupidity.

Aphrodite watched Dawn with extreme interest, wondering what was running through his mind now.

"Sorry, but I need your power to save people that are close to me." Dawn apologizes at the husk of Ares after he had completely drained Ares' power. Ares fell on the ground as his legs no longer were able to support his body – his fate still unknown by the Gods there, except for Zeus.

"Let's go." Dawn said to Hela. He grabbed her and flew out of the Omnipotence city using his highest possible speed.

Pluto, or his other name – Hades smirked as he saw the conflict from the shadows where he was monitoring the city. He may or may not have captured Ares' soul before it could return to Olympus realm and be reborn to further escalate the conflict.

-30th Century, Quantum Realm City-

"Where are we?" Carol asked, as she and Gwen suddenly found themselves being transported to a strange place. They were inside a white room with no windows and only one door.

Gwen scanned the area around the place, and found multiple possible threats and hostiles running toward them.

"We cannot stay here." Gwen said hurriedly. "They are running towards us. Most of them are soldiers." She explained.

"I'll open up a path!" Carol said, flying directly upward onto the ceiling of the room.

BOOM!

The ceiling cracked, so did Carol's fist. "ARGHH!" She screamed as her hand was fractured by the ceiling's hardness and the energy shield that was enveloping it.

Gwen grabbed Carol and flew toward the door of the room. She controlled multiple wings feathers to fly in front of her to warn her of any possible traps. After losing 112 of the feathers, Gwen and Carol finally managed to get outside of the building they were in before.

She was finally able to see the city outside, and it was unlike any of the cities she had ever visited before. "This?" Gwen asked in confusion.

"GET DOWN!" Carol pulled Gwen with her broken hand, diving straight to the streets.

BOOM

The place where they were before had been erased from existence, and the attacks continued to chase after them for a few hours. They ran and ran, but they weren't able to escape the city's soldier

Their bodies were filled with blood, and they were almost captured by the soldiers. A team of soldiers in advanced armor from the 35th century encircled Gwen and Carol.

"Come with us willingly…" A Chrono city soldier said. "...Or be erased."

"Never." Carol replied. Gwen readied her armour to battle the soldiers to the end. But then, a robed figure jumped between the girls and the soldier, shooting her erasing gun at the soldiers while saving Gwen and Carol.

"Gamora?" Gwen muttered after she managed to peek at the face behind the robe.

"Long time no see Gwen." Gamora said with a sincere smile on her face. "Come with me."

The warrior then leads the duo toward a place outside of the soldiers' monitoring, while explaining their situation along the way.

"Chronopolis was the time-spanning stronghold of Kang. The city-state was located on the outskirts of timeless Limbo, existing half in Limbo and half in reality." Gamora explained.

"How long have you been here?" Gwen asked after studying the older looking Gamora in front of her.

"It's been 15 years for me." Gamora said, turning her gaze toward the soldiers and pushing Gwen and Carol further into the shadow to avoid the soldier's detection.

The city was circular in shape and covered by a huge transparent dome. It contained access points to all of the time eras that Kang had conquered or was in the process of conquering. All of the blocks that made up the city existed in their own time eras and each encompassed the entire Earth as it existed in those time periods.

Travel between blocks was usually only possible via hidden portals and travellers who could not find a portal would be doomed to wander about in that subsection of the city forever. However, when the city was damaged, visitors could stroll between eras without using the portal-points.

"We will hide in the 29th century zone. Adam will meet us there." Gamora said.

"How long has he…" Carol unconsciously asked.

"9 years. The further away a person's position from the ship's bridge, the further they will be thrown back. We have waited for you guys for a long time." Gamora said.

(A/N: The Chronopolis arc is only1 chapters. Time won't move in the real world while they are in there, so the real world won't be affected by their disappearance even for 100 years of living there.)
