(A/N: Only the OG's Avengers will fight with Kang in the beginning.)
-Asgard-
"Thor. Midgard is under attack unlike anything I'd ever seen." Heimdall quickly contacted Thor who was training in the colosseum.
The shirtless and sweaty Thor had regained his peak physique after a month training in Asgard realm. "What happened?" Thor asked. Heimdall then shared his vision, and he saw the sight of Natasha bleeding on the ground. Unprecedented anger rises up inside the God of Thunder.
"ARGGHHH!!!" Thor yelled, lighting started to appear inside his eyes and amongst his fingers. He controlled the lightning and shot down the bilge snipes in front of him, shocking them with high voltage lightning.
The beast's body convulsed and it fell to the ground on its side.
Frigga smiled softly after seeing her son's new understanding in his power. However, she didn't know the cause of it as she didn't see what Heimdall let Thor see.
"Mjolnir. To me!" Thor yelled. His hammer that was benched in the audience stand when he was training flew back into his hands after a month being separated.
"Mother. I need to go!" Thor said.
"Be careful my son." Frigga said in a soft tone. Thor swirled the hammer and released it into the direction of the Bifrost, carrying himself with the hammer.
"Send me there. Now!" Thor ordered. Heimdall had already opened the Bifrost portal after he shared the situation to Thor. Thor jumped into the rainbow bridge and flew into Midgard at high speed.
-Washington-
"Hulk. We need you." Steve said before Natasha was shot to death.
"I'll be there in seconds." Hulk replied. He was surrounded by tens of the 5 meters tall Scarab murder bots that could self-heal and upgrade their strength in battle.
"Jen. I need to go. Don't twerk." Hulk said.
"I'M NOT GOING TO TWERK!" Jen Walter in her She-Hulk form yelled. She turned to the readers and asked, "Seriously? Can't we forget that ever happened? Why did Ryan never create an amnesia light flash?" She said while rubbing her forehead in contemplation.
"HULK SMASH!!" Hulk slammed both fists on the floor. A shockwave explosion occurred, the debris from the blast smashed into the body of the Scarabs. Jen jumped high in the air, stopping for almost 2 seconds in the peak of her arc, and falling into the centre of the Scarabs unit.
"GO. I CAN TAKE THEM!" Jen said menacingly, her anger strengthened her powers.
Hulk nodded and jumped toward the building on the side, leaving She-Hulk alone facing the army of Scarabs. "Come on." Jen said tauntingly while punching both her fist together.
-Kang's Battle. Near the summit hall-
"Steve!" Barton yelled. Steve quickly raised his shield up in response.
BANG!
The impact from Kang's bullet pushed Steve 15 metres backward, causing a black mark on the ground from the friction.
Barton took a deep breath and coated his arrow with his reishi. "This is for Nat you bastard." He released the arrow, aiming for Kang's head. He couldn't use his reishi arrow many times. His levels right now allowed him to use the arrow only three times before he lost all his strength.
The conqueror didn't even flinch with the arrow flying toward him. He knew in every universe, Barton and Natasha were just ordinary people. His absolute force field that could withstand the barrage of Hulk's punch could protect him from the agents without any problems.
He… miscalculated.
The reishi power of the Quincy couldn't be stopped by his force field. It broke into the force field smoothly, stopping just before Kang's head. He managed to slow down the time inside his field before his head was penetrated, the tip of the arrow had reached his forehead, causing a drop of blood to come out from the skin-level wound.
"That was close." Barton smirked. Natasha's dead body dissipated from the battlefield without anyone noticing – not even Kang.
"Don't be sad. You'd give me the opening I need." A seductive voice sounded across the battlefield. Natasha appeared in front of the hole Barton created and thrust her finger inside before it could be closed. Her finger was cut off when the force field recovered, but she had already finished her duplication process.
Another Natasha appeared inside the enemy's barrier, stomping Kang's hand that held his gun to the side while jabbing him in the eye!
"ARGH!" Kang screamed for the first time. An impact shockwave exploded, pushing Natasha outside of his time chair, killing her yet again and the other Avengers back a few steps while they defended themselves from it.
His eyes turned red. If he didn't have an enhanced physique, he would have gone blind right then and there.
"Why are you... Fighting me? I'm doing this…for your benefits." Kang said while he pressed the buttons on his time chair.
He didn't even ask about Barton's power or Natasha's super ability to duplicate herself. He saw Natasha standing next to Steve with his own gun in her hand. She smirked at him mockingly, but Kang was someone who had ascended from having a normal human's emotions…or at least he tried too.
He gritted his teeth as he saw Natasha's taunt.
"Damn it. I want to be the first one to break his defence." Tony appeared out of nowhere and blasted Kang's time chair with his chest unibeam. The force field levels dropped sharply, but it didn't break.
"TASTE THE MIGHT OF MJOLNIR!" Thor also appeared next to Tony and threw his hammer to Kang. The absolute barrier broke from the hammer's strike, smashing Kang in his face. He fell backward from his time chair, and Hulk was already waiting for him in the direction he was falling.
Hulk grabbed Kang's leg and gave him the same treatment he gave Loki. He flung him left and right, but this time, Kang managed to shoot a paralysing beam toward Hulk.
"ARGGH!!" Hulk yelled and let go of Kang. Kang shot the fist size paralysing beam toward the others too, causing all of them to be in painful restriction. He wiped the blood on his mouth and summoned his chair back to him.
"You're unpredictable. More level headed in battle. I could not imagine…that your team was only created this year." Kang complimented honestly. All the other Avengers team he had killed before was impulsive, hot-headed, egoistical, and not a team player. It was pretty easy for him to kill all of them.
"Let me show you. What path…being better will take you." Kang said as he sat back in his time chair. A greenish-sphere appeared with the time chair being in the centre of it. It enveloped all the Avengers and Kang. Then, all of them disappeared from their location in this timeline.
-Other parts of Washington-
"What is this? Aliens?" Rhodes asked. The War Machine hasn't stopped firing his weapons at the Scarabs army. Most of the Scarabs were heading to the summit location as their main target was there.
"It's unlikely, given the Egyptian styling on them. Most likely this is Kang." Ayala replied. She split the Scarab into half using her claws, emerging from inside the Scarabs body like in Alien's movie.
"Nice." Rhodes exclaimed.
"Don't we need to go protect Ryan?" Ayala asked, ignoring Rhodes. She noticed that breaking the Scarabs into pieces would prolong the time needed for them to get up again.
"Seriously? Wouldn't that be overkill at this point?" Rhodes retorted. Ayala tilted her head in confusion, and then she finally saw what Rhodes meant.
In the sky, numerous SSV ships appeared, darkening the sky of Washington. An army of heavy-armoured infantry units jumped down from the cables of the ship, cracking the ground with each of their drops.
The leader took the lead in shouting. "FOR THE...EMPEROR!!!"
Hundreds of soldiers in MK X Tacticus Armor, a heavy Armour from Warhammer world stampedes through the streets of Washington, destroying the Scarabs with unparalleled ruthlessness.
They pulled the Scarabs by pulling it into two opposite direction, using a chainsaw blade to remove the Scarabs intestinal mechanism by inserting the blade inside the robots' body, raining plasma gun and plasma grenades toward the Scarabs while the SSV ships and the thousand sky ships were fighting Kang's flyer drones.
-Egypt-
"No!" A young mother hugged her small child as the Scarabs targeted them. The Scarab almost killed the little family when a crescent moon boomerang appeared and cut off the Scarab's hand.
Moon Knight jumps down from the top of the building and catches the boomerang mid-air. He landed on the back of the Scarab before he stabbed the robot's internal mechanism with his crescent blade.
"Go." Moon Knight said to the young woman. "A-Are you a superhero?" the young kid in the woman's embrace asked with a stammer.
"I'm…" Before Moon Knight could answer, two more Scarab lunged toward him and the family. "GO TO KNIGHT'S SHELTER. NOW!" Marc Specter yelled urgently. He may be able to hold his own against the robots, but he couldn't do it while protecting others.
"Why does this happen now? After I worked very hard to track that fucking Hydra head." Marc Spector mumbled. He couldn't wait to finish his job and gave back the body to Stephen Grant.
-Chicago-
"Go." A fanged, African-American man in a long black trench coat and sunglasses said after saving a family from the Scarab's attack.
Blade avoided the Scarab's attack and jumped toward the robot's body before he buried his sword deep inside it. The Scarab short-circuited and fell limblessly to the ground. Blade pulled his sword out of the robot's and turned against 3 more Scarabs walking toward him.
"Fifth Form: Sea of Clouds and Haze" Blade muttered and ran toward the Scarabs at high speed. His confusing footwork allowed him to be obscured from the Scarab's high-definition cameras, before he unleashes a flurry of attacks on the Scarabs, cutting all three of them into pieces.
He thanked Kai inwardly for teaching him the ways of the sword that allowed him to fight off the strong enemy in front of him.
"You might not be vampires. But I couldn't let you wreak havoc here. So why don't you go back to where you're from?" Blade muttered as he saw 5 Scarabs walking toward him.
"Nothing huh? It's going to be a lonely fight." He muttered.
-New York-
A blue streak could be seen running along the streets of New York. With him passing, all the Scarabs on his path were broken down to pieces.
"Wanda. Where are you?" Pietro muttered with concern. Not only him, but a lot of New York based superheroes had risen up to fight against the invasion.
"Luke. Duck." Danny Rand said before he jumped from behind Luke and punched a Scarab with his glowing fist.
"Dude. Invulnerable. Remember?" Luke said in dissatisfaction as he was babied by the Iron Fist. "Sorry. Habit." Danny replied.
"Are you girls finished bickering? We need to go help evacuate the people." Jessica Jones said sarcastically. She had managed to break 2 robots while Luke and Danny fought one.
Danny and Luke: "…."
"Ava, where are you girl?" Jessica said playfully into her earpiece. She was part of the Kingsman that has access to a lot of interesting gadgets.
"Girl. Seriously?" Ava Starr mocked Jessica's tone as she ripped off a circular looking thing from the Scarab's heart.
While the heroes were fighting, the heavy armoured infantry appeared all around the world and provided reinforcement for the heroes.
However, a few parts of the world didn't receive the reinforcement. Such as Transylvania.
A grey-skinned, white-haired man in blood red Armor and the sword from the goddess of death stood tall on the battlefield underneath the cloudy sky.
"This era is interesting." Dracula muttered. He aimed his claws at a Scarab from afar. Several blood spears appeared and shot down the Scarab, causing it to explode.
In Latveria, the Master of Evil provides the protection to the dictator there in exchange for asylum.
Wakanda and Somalia had moved their armies and fought off the Scarab all over the continent. The Prince of Wakanda studied the situation in Washington before he connected to Wakanda's line.
"Shuri. Anything?" T'Challa asked.
"Brother. Without destroying the fortress. The fight below is not doing anything." Shuri replied while the image of the fortress floats on top of her table.
"I see." T'Challa said and moved stealthily toward one of the flyer drones being shot out of the fortress.
"Did you find out where the Avengers had gone?" T'Challa asked again.
"No brother. They'd disappeared." Shuri replied.
-In another place-
"Oh my god. It's so cold." Barton shivered in the extreme cold wind assaulting his body. They were taken into a frozen land amidst a snow storm. He quickly activated the thermal wear on his purple suit. His memory-suit transformed into a winter uniform for him, with a hoody on his head and some sheep skin on his neck.
"Jarvis. What's the temperature here?" Tony asked as he too activated the thermal option of the suits. Thor and Hulk were unbothered by the cold so they didn't do anything to fight against it.
"It's…*BZZT* %#@ 50 degrees celsius." Jarvis answered in a broken connection. He was stabilised after a while.
"Where did you bring us?" Steve asked Kang who was still sitting calmly on top of his time chair.
"Not where. When." Kang replied.
The snowy storm eases up, revealing Washington's infrastructure around the team.
"This is?" Tony widened his eyes in horror.
"Heimdall. CAN YOU HEAR ME? HEIMDALL!" Thor shouted to the sky, but no one answered him.
The whole group became silent and turned to Kang for the answer.
To their horror, Kang said, "This is your world. One month from now."
He looked at the Avengers with incomprehensible eyes. "This is the outcome for trusting Ryan Knight."
