After Rocket and Groot joined the battlefield, the rest of the Guardians were stealthily infiltrating the laboratory that contained the universe rewriting device.
"What the hell?" Quill exclaimed as he saw a scarlet energy surrounding the entire lab, swirling on the roof of the lab hall.
"That's…The M'Kraan crystal Power." Adam Warlock said, his face grimacing as he tried to touch the energy in front of him. The energy rejected him, and pushed him back a step.
"We can't breach the shield from the front." Gamora said as the same thing happened to her as she laid hands on the scarlet energy. The energy also acted as a barrier for other species from coming through.
Doge Fenu Udu, the Skrull scientist noticed the visitors inside his research lab.
"Zen-Whoberis…" He said, looking at Gamora, then he turned to Quill, "...Urgh, Human…" Finally, his gaze turned to Adam Warlock, "And you. You're new. Something that has never been before. Intriguing."
"Stop this. There is still time." Adam Warlock said, his voice was calm but carried a stern order.
"We're going to skip over the part that he was disgusted looking at me? Okay." Quill retorted sadly. The scientist scoffed at the earthling's remark, as he was sick of studying the incomprehensible species.
"HAHAHA!!" The scientist laughed. "Why should we? When we're at the brink of something wonderful? A universe where only one race reigns supreme. There will be no war between species, no useless blockage in our expansion…" His calm voice turned rageful "...No other GODS!!!...trying to hinder us!"
'Other gods?' Gamora thought to herself.
Adam Warlock knew there wasn't anything that was going to change the scientist's mind. He then decided to use the soul gem on his head. The soul stone glowed an orange light, and his body started to float.
After the stone was placed on his head, Adam found himself able to manipulate the metaphysical quantum energy – also known as magic. The stone also allowed him to sense the souls of another being, and even brought the souls into the Soul Stone pocket dimension, the soul world.
He used the primitive force of magic when he battled Quill, Rocket and Groot before. The magic was forcefully condensed into his arm, allowing others to see the condensed magical energy glowing in a blue light all over his hand.
However, in the short moment he met Dawn before, and the short conversation he had with the Arcadia captain when he told him he wanted to help, Dawn had allowed him to study the ways to wield the magic more efficiently. Through his multi-compartmental brain that granted him cosmic awareness – even though he wasn't clear about the ability yet, he absorbed everything he saw from Dawn before – albeit not being able to fully use it.
An intricate magic circle appeared around his hand, shocking Gamora and Quill.
"What is that?" Quill asked, visibly excited by Adam's new power. The Skrull scientist was also excited and started to scan the energy fluctuation of the soul stone.
"Something I learned. Maybe I stole. I need to ask the owner for permission later." Adam replied in a calm and steady tone.
A few magic missiles came out from his hand and attacked the Scientist in front of them, piercing his body in multiple areas, killing him instantly.
Gamora widened her eyes and it turned rageful. "Why did you do that? We need him to stop the-"
"It wasn't him." Adam Warlock replied as his soul sense was telling him something unusual.
Quill peeked through the veil and saw multiple Skrulls with the same face working hard to ensure the mechanism worked.
Adam then continues, "All of them were the same people."
"Clones?" Gamora asked.
"I don't know. I can't pinpoint the main one. All of them thought that they were Doge Fenu Udu."
He then raised his hand toward Gamora and Quill, and started to manipulate their souls.
"I will make the veil recognize you as a Skrull for a while so that we can pass the barrier."

Phyla-Vell flew toward another part of the planet, trying to search for the hidden location that hides her mission target.
"If the details were right, the prison should be around here…" She muttered as she kept searching for it.
If Adam's cosmic awareness was right, she would find the key to stop the entity here in the area. She also needed to break out Dezan, the Mad King's brother so that they could negotiate the terms of release.
Finally, she reached the gate of a temple. She landed on the ground and noticed that the place was unguarded.
"Isn't this a prison? So why?" She muttered, looking left and right trying to find something to open the door.
Suddenly, the door moved on its own as if it was waiting for her. Phyla-Vell walked inside with her guard up and her senses dialled to eleven.
She saw multiple thrones inside the temple, and a young Skrull with a darker colour than the others was sitting on one of the chairs, staring at her with a cold look on her face. She held various weapons with her 6 hands, and she stood up slowly to face the intruder.
"I am Sl'gur't." The deviant Skrull said. "Why have you come to the Skrull pantheon stranger?"
"My name is Phyla-Vell. I came here to find the Origin."
"I see. Then you must die."
…
On the battlefield.
"Santoryu Ougi. Tatsumaki." Kai muttered as he swung his blade. A whirlwind of blade storm flew toward the enemy's line, consuming everything in its path. Kai saw that Hercules was pointing at him, but he ignored the guy.
He wielded 3 swords to create the whirlwind. After that, he retracted 2 swords back inside his body, leaving only one on his right hand – The Ame-No-Murakame.
"I have an appointment later today. Sorry but I have to finish this early." He muttered, worrying about his clinic even though it's only been 2 hours since he closed it. After the angel incident and he had to close his clinic for a while, Hell's Kitchen's resident has been missing him and his service.
A Skrull officer attacked him from behind, but he slashed his sword in his left arm without even looking at the guy. The Skrull's gun was cut off in half, and the guy loses his consciousness.
Despite being one of the most powerful beings there, Kai was also the most merciful in his battles. He only needed one move to permanently take out an opponent from the field – and also the living world.
"Dorren also has to be registered for school. Hmm I wonder how I should convince her to go." He summoned his life soul wings, and flew to the sky. As he flapped his wings, the flying Skrulls and the fighter craft around his flight direction all fell down.
Hercules wiped his eyes multiple times when he saw the wings on Kai's back.
"Didn't Odin have cut off the Heaven realm from being part of the world tree?" Hercules muttered. The warring heavens realm had been lost in the void for a long time now. He wondered if Kai was one of the descendants living on earth.
When Kai took to the sky, one of the Super-Skrull on the sky noticed him and flew toward him. Unlike others who had wings, this Super-Skrull manipulated cosmic energy to fly. Wearing a red and blue suit with a star on his chest, he stopped flying and faced Kai mid-air.
"Did one of you manage to copy Carol's power? You have been with her for a long time. I guess it's stupid to think that none of you managed to steal it." Kai hypothesised.
"Kai. Kai Vera." He introduced himself to the opponent.
"My name is Khn'nr. And I am not alone." The Captain Marvel Super-Skrull said. Then, 2 more Skrull of the similar characteristic flew toward Kai – A male and a female. They were the secret weapons of the Skrull empire. Some of them even impersonated Carol to attack the Kree transport vessel and blamed it all on the true hero.
However, the opponent grinned, causing alarm going off inside the alien's mind.
"I want to fight with Carol for a long time now. I guess I need to drown my impulse with you."
Kai pointed the tip of his sword at Khn'nr. The battle started immediately as all 3 of Carol Danver's impostors shot photonic blasts toward Kai.
BOOM
An explosion occurred and enveloped Kai in his entirety. Khn'nr turned back, settling his gaze on Annika next. His team needed to destroy the airborne enemy before they joined the rest on the battlefield.
However, a muscular hand came out from the smoke, and grabbed his neck from behind before he could move.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kai asked in a cold tone as he tightened his grip of Khn'nr neck. The female Skrull turned and kicked at Kai, but he stopped the leg with his sword.
A shockwave occurred when the sword and the leg clashed. Kai's hand was still steady but the female's leg was shaking from hitting an immovable object. She tried to absorb Kai's energy to complement her own, but she was shocked to realise that she couldn't sense the type of energy Kai was using.
The male Skrull attacked Kai's hand, forcing him to lose his grip on Khn'nr neck, releasing his leader. He punched at Kai with a fist coated in photon blast, but Kai redirected his fist using his palm, and the alien's fist hit his leader's head instead.
Kai took out his sword from the scabbard, and muttered, "Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. (Vibrant Display of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms)"
His sword fell from his hand. It produced a water-like ripple as it disappeared beneath his feet.
He didn't use bankai or zanpakuto, but the Mythical companion beast (Evolvable): Ame-No-Murakame has a similar ability as the soul sword he knew.
"Rise." Kai muttered.
The Skrull's opponent saw 20 towering sword appeared all around them. Then, the sword scattered into tiny pieces, creating countless sword petals.
"ARGHH!!" The female Skrull screamed as her body was assaulted by countless tiny swords, creating wounds all over her body. Carol's ability to increase her physical property by absorbing energy was also copied by the female Skrull, however it was useless against Kai as he seemed to bypass all of her defences.
Khn'nr and the other male Skrull attacked the petals with their photon blast, but they could barely slow it down.
"We've underestimated him." The male Skrull said. By copying Captain Marvel's power, they thought that they were invincible on the battlefield.
"Yes. We did." Khn'nr said and placed his hand on the male' Skrulls' body. The male Skrull understood what was going to happen and he accepted his fate readily. Khn'nr started to absorb all of the male' skrulls cosmic energy, leaving him defenceless. The petals swarm arrived and shattered the male-skrull's body, killing him instantly.
Khn'nr arrived at the female skrull with a speed doubled of what he flew before, and absorbed the cosmic energy from the female Skrull. His body became bloated with muscles, and his eyes carried a trace of madness. The female skrull no longer has any defences against the petal swarm and her body was broken down into tiny little pieces by the sword petals, leaving only a mist of blood as a symbol of her existence.
After absorbing both of the Skrull's power, Khn'nr quickly become the peak of existence in the battlefield there, becoming even a danger to Kai. He raised one hand, and shot out a massive photon blast toward the swarm of petals.
"This is going to be good." Kai said and summoned back his scattered petals into his scabbard, becoming a whole sword again. If he didn't then he might lose a mythical companion beast from Khn'nr attack. The sword was powerful, but its durability was the same as an epic companion beast.
On the other side of the battlefield, a nerd was waltzing among the Skrull's army, leaving motionless officers in his path. The nerd was still analysing the Skrull's army formation and technology, and he commanded the Arcadia's crew in the ground battle.
Ryan muttered as he scrolled the tablet in his hand, "Hmm…The second and third orbital defence is activated. But they can't aim at the Arcadia, so they have to aim it at the Xandar army above."
The Arcadia position was too low to use the orbital cannon on it. The Xandarian, and also the Kree had come to Skrullos Third, wanting to stop the Skrull from succeeding in altering reality.
"Ronan, Nova Corps, and even the Ravagers are here, presumably being called by Quill. The blue daddy really loves his son huh.." Ryan said as he walked past another motionless Skrull.
"DIE MONSTER!!" A Skrull officer yelled out, bracing his fear to stop the monster in front of him. Ryan glanced at the officer with his purple eyes. A pattern appeared in his eyes, 3 magatama moved in a circular pattern before it stopped.
The Skull officer found himself inside another dimension where countless other Skrulls were bound at the stake and had a snake coiling their bodies. The wooden stake appeared behind him, and he too was bound inside the dimension.
As Ryan had something to do, he just pulled the enemy inside a genjutsu using his fake sharingan for an easy battle. Almost 2000 Skrull officers were pulled inside the genjustsu, slowly losing their lives as they were being swallowed by the snakes.
Quest:
Kaguya Otsutsuki – Break through onto Planet Skrullos surface.
Reward: 1000 chakra seed. Uchiha bloodline. 3 random Kekkei Genkai. Jounin training manual. Orochimaru Research Papers.
He saw the quest from the quest board and decided to submit it's completion the moment he breached the planet's surface. He also took several other quests like Dawn reminded him to do, so that he would get something extra from this battle.
Ryan walked slowly toward the research lab where the reality altering machines were. That was when his eyes saw something unusual hidden among the Skrulls officers.
'He could wield cosmic power naturally?' Ryan thought in puzzlement. The Skrull he saw had spiked horns along the edges of his arm, and stood 2.5 metres tall, towering over the other Skrulls beside him. He was dressed in primitive clothing, and wearing a golden waistband with two horns protruding out of it.
"Ah. Kly'bn. You're once an Eternal Skrull. Now you're a god right?" Ryan asked the unusual Skrull casually. Kly'bn raised his brows as he couldn't read the human in front of him, but the human could do it to him.
"You know me?" The Eternal Skrull said.
"I do. I also know that the Skrulls were your descendants. But they followed your wife's ability more than your's huh. The Deviant Skrull Sl'gur't."
"Were you the ones who killed Zorr'Kiri?" The Eternal Skrull asked, readying himself for a battle.
"No. Wait. Did you nudge the war because your pantheon lost a god?" Ryan asked. He was still unclear about Zorr'Kiri – The Skrull's goddess of love that was killed by the god butcher.
"I see. Then. Do you know who killed her?" The Eternal Skrull replied, avoiding the topic of the war. After all, a god initiating war among the mortalkind was a taboo in any pantheon after Zeus declared it at Omnipotent city.
" I do." Ryan replied.
"Then. You're a conspirator." The Eternal Skrull said accusingly and lunged toward Ryan. He swung his spiked fist toward Ryan, penetrating his abdomen. Ryan held the Eternal Skrull hand weakly as he whispered in his ears.
"Is Zorr'Kiri your wife, or your daughter?"
"She is our lover." The Eternal Skrull replied, as Zorr'Kiri was born from the love he shared with his wife, the Deviant Queen.
"So…both huh." Ryan muttered with a smile as his eyes lost their light. The Eternal Skrull sensed something wrong with the corpse inside his hand. Suddenly, Ryan's body metamorphosed into several crows and flew all around the Eternal Skrull.
"Is this…An illusion?" The Eternal Skrull said as he held his throbbing head.
"Oh You're good. Some people don't even know that they have fallen into a genjutsu." Ryan replied as the crow converged and he appeared 20 metres away from the Eternal Skrull, standing on top of a wooden cross.
The Eternal Skrull writhed in pain, snapping himself from the illusion. He then found out that he was still at the same spot where he first met Ryan.
"ARGHH!!" Kly'bn yelled and ran toward Ryan, for real this time. He compacted a cosmic energy inside his fist, and punched. Ryan dodged it by jumping upward, causing Kly'bn to hit the ground.
BOOM
The ground cracked from the tremendous power, taking out the Skrulls officers in a 100 metre range.
"Uhh. 5 seconds please." Ryan said, his eyes on his tablet as he studied the situation on the battlefield. A few plasma blasts shot toward him, raising his annoyance.
"Oh shit." Kai who was nearby sensed Ryan's annoyance. He knee-kicked the Captain Marvel Skrull in front of him, making his opponent gagged. He flew down and grabbed two of the islanders nearby Ryan's area of battle.
"All of you. Go to sleep." Ryan said as he let out tremendous pressure on the 1 kilometre range from where he was standing. The pressure passed through the Skrulls nearby him, and even pushed the Eternal Skrull back a few metres.
The Skrull god widened his eyes. His innate fear bubbled toward the surface after aeons of disappearing. Ryan's figure right now was comparable to Zeus or Odin for the Skrull god. Even Hercules sensed the pressure on the other side of the battlefield.
After 5 seconds, Ryan retracted his pressure. Then, all of the Skrulls officers in his range fell down on the floor, already unconscious from Ryan's attack. 50,000 Skrulls were out of commision by Ryan's one move.
"Hey. Warn them if you're going to use Conqueror Haki next time." Kai yelled as he flapped his wings. Two of the islander he saved were in each of his arms and they were hugging his bare body with a flushed face.
Hela saw what Ryan did and her competitiveness started to boil. She commanded her 20,000 Skrull zombies army to move forward and give their best in the battle.
"Sorry." Ryan replied casually. Kai flew down and released the girls in his arms. They landed on the ground and nodded at Kai to thank him. After he left to fight the Captain Marvel impostor, the girls discussed among themselves.
"His muscles are crazy right?"
"Yeah. I won't be able to forget the sensation for a long time."
"Now that the interference is gone. Entertain me." Ryan said condescendingly toward the Skrull god.
Beads of sweat dripped from Kly'bn head as he wondered what kind of being he was facing. "A monster huh." He muttered, the shout of a Skrull officer toward Ryan resounded in his mind.
