Chapter 185 - Chapter 184: Avatar of Unbeing.

(A/N: Thank you for your wishes. As a birthday present I will post a chapter today lol)

Dawn put his guard up facing the woman in front of him.

"Why are you here? Phyla-Vell?" He asked the woman in front of him. Phyla-Vell was wearing a Nega-band on her wrists, and she aimed the quantum energy she had towards Dawn.

The artificial daughter of the original Mar-Vell and Elysius. She came into existence after reality had been re-written. There was also a time where she became the Avatar of Oblivion after she had lost her powers.

Suddenly, Phyla-Vell replied. "Dawn Everstar. Your journey will unravel the fabric of reality in this universe. You must be stopped."

Dawn grinned after hearing that, causing Phyla-Vell to have more reason to label him as a villain. 'There is something hidden there on the planet! I need to get there as soon as possible!' He thought excitedly.

"Is that what he told you?" Dawn asked with a smile on his face.

Phyla-Vell gritted her teeth seeing his casual demeanor. A calm enemy possessed more danger than an agitated one.

Ryan's shadow clone gazed into the nothingness behind Phyla-Vell behind his Mandalorian helmet. He saw a purplish and translucent lamprey with tentacles flailing around trying to take over Phyla-Vell, but it was stopped by the Nega-band she was wearing.

'So. That is a cosmic entity huh? First time seeing one. I wonder if it's created from a concept or someone purposely created it.' Ryan jotted down what his shadow clone was seeing on Earth.

His eyes that were basked in Set's venom allowed him to see the figure of the entity that wasn't in the third dimension. While jotting down his observations, his Eye of the Truth that he shared with the shadow clone suddenly locked eyes with the cosmic entity.

A jolt of piercing pain suddenly attacked his eyes. He disconnected the Eye of Truth from his shadow clone, as his shadow clone couldn't use the eyes that were unique to him. Blood started to drip from his eyes, and he almost lost consciousness.

The Mandalorian shadow clone staggered and almost disappeared as the 'attack' also influenced him.

" A glimpse at the truth… and I almost lost my life." Ryan muttered as he tried to heal his throbbing eyes.

He saw a vision as he peeked at the Unbeing. A vision where all of reality disappears into nothingness. And at the center of all things, was a man in a green hood and a metal mask.

"Doom? That's… Impossible. He isn't here." Ryan muttered as he re-check his data. He had investigated all of the people in Latveria before. He was sure that Doom wasn't there. Not even his family was mentioned anywhere in Latveria's history.

"An alternate world? Or… the world is veiled?"

In Space, the fake Mandalorians were holding the Mandalorian from falling down.

"I…am fine." The Mandalorian said.

"What just happened? I felt…a gaze on me…" Jay said with a quivering voice. Deet hugged her body and crouched down, her brain almost broke from the gaze. The shadow clone quickly transmitted a healing energy toward the girls, slowly piecing their psyche back together.

[Kill him…kill him…kill him…kill him..kill..him…kill…him…kill…him….]

Inside Phyla-Vell's mind, the Unbeing ramblings become much more hostile. He couldn't track the gaze that fell onto him before, but his entire existence was endangered for a short amount of time.

[KILL HIM. KILL HIM. KILL HIM.]

The Unbeing fanatically tried to get Phyla-Vell to obey his order.

A few days back, Phyla-Vell received a transmission from a being proclaimed as the Origin. The minor cosmic entity tried to convince Phyla-Vell about the dangers if Dawn meets with people who weren't supposed to be in this reality, and how reality will become unraveled from the consequences of his actions.

What Phyla-Vell didn't know was that the being contacting her wasn't Origin, but the Unbeing. Phyla-Vell was one of the people the Unbeing contacted to protect his dominance in his fight with Origin.

In other words, Phyla-Vell was tricked. Her strength was artificially increased by the being in his attempt to take over the woman. However, he failed at the last step because of the Nega-band.

"Will you…turn your ship back?" Phyla-Vell asked.

"No." Dawn answered curtly.

Exploding into light speed comparable to Carol Danvers, Phyla-Vell flew toward Dawn. Before he could take out his staff, she stabbed her hand into his heart.

SPLURT.

Phyla-Vell penetrated his body, his heart was still beating as she grabbed it. His blood splattered on Phyla-Vell's face as his body turned limb. She attacked him with her hand coated with quantum energy as she could still manipulate the energy in the Nega-band.

(A/N: For those of you who watched Miss Marvel, it's the same band that she wore. It was originally Quasar's band. So I guess Quasar won't come out in the MCU.)

"I'm sorry." Phyla-Vell whispered, knowing that she had made a judgment before the incident happened.

Adam Warlock saw the whole thing, and his eyes widened.

"RUN!" He said to Phyla-Vell, one of the rare friends he has in this world. She didn't know about him being inside the ship or that he had gotten back from the parallel world, or she would have come to find him.

Phyla-Vell heard the voice even when she was inside the vacuum of space. She tried to pull her hand from Dawn's body, but her hand was stuck. Dawn's body suddenly turned into a wooden puppet, and it smiled eerily at her.

Countless small tendrils came out from the wooden puppet and started to invade Phyla-Vell's body. It entered underneath her skin and merged itself with her muscular tissues.

One of the tendrils attacked her face, and entered her brain through her nostrils and ears.

"ARGGH!!" Phyla-Vell let out a soul-crushing scream, and summoned her Quantum Sword. A thin blade of light appeared in her hand and she cut off the tendrils immediately. Parts of the tendril's were still stuck on her body as she retreated backward.

"Oh come on. I thought that I could go to sleep early after this." Dawn said, hiding the anxiousness he felt in fighting the woman in front of him. If he didn't use a substitution magic before this, he would have died.

For a caster, enemies that fight in close combat were the most troublesome opponents for him. He abandoned the straw hat persona and placed the hat inside his storage ring.

At this moment, Dawn was wearing full armor and held the Staff of Yggdrasil in his hand. He also threw a couple tiny rocks from his storage rings to float around his enemy. Then, he activated the Pym particles and the tiny pebbles turned into several floating satellites, disrupting Phyla-Vell's sight on him.

"When battling a close combat opponent, what a caster could do is to control the stage." Dawn muttered as he knew someone was observing him. Adam Warlock's eyes were glued on the battle as it started, unaware about the others inside the ship's plans for him.

When Phyla-Vell attacked the ship before, it damaged the lock inside the prison cell – the lower level ones.

"Quill you idiot. Stop screaming! Look!" Rocket said enthusiastically as he saw the door was opened a bit.

"Groot. Pull!" He said as they tried to pry open the primitive jail cell. The cell was made with a metal bar, just like the ones on Earth. For those who were actually dangerous, Dawn locked them up inside the higher technology prison, giving them no chance to escape at all.

The group poured their strength together to unlock the jail cell. However, it didn't budge.

"If only someone could pull with us from the outside." Rocket said to Quill.

"Who in their right mind would help us escape?" Quill said sarcastically.

While the two were arguing, Groot listened to what Rocket said and he branched himself into the gaps of the metal bar. Once his branch was outside, he pulled his body through the gap of the metal bar, getting out from the prison.

"Again. Ready? One two.." Quill said, not realizing that their numbers had reduced.

Suddenly, a wooden arm grabbed the metal gate from outside, startling Quill. He lost his grip on the metal bar and fell on his ass. "OUCH."

"I am Groot." Groot said, ready to pry the door open together with the rest.

"What do you mean you're ready?! You can do that all this time and you didn't? I will chop you up for firewood after this!"

"I am Groot."

"I don't care if you're not firewood! Go pick up the key they hang at the end of the hall!" Rocket said angrily. Groot's face was sullen as he was scolded even though he wanted to help.

Reluctantly, Groot walked to the end of the hall and picked up the key. While he was doing so, Rocket created a plan with Quill.

"I have put a remote latch in the golden man's handcuff. We can use him to get out of this haunted ship."

"They have taken all of our stuff. Did you smuggle the remote inside the jail?" Peter said, visibly excited by Rocket's resourcefulness.

"Yeah. Bend over."

"..." Quill couldn't believe his ears when he heard it. He picked his ear's wondering if he heard that wrong.

"Excuse me?"

"Bend over. The remote is in your ass." Rocket said, putting a glove in his hand.

"WHEN DID YOU PUT IT IN MY ASS!!! Rocket, are you insane!!!"

"When you're asleep of course. Now Bend Over. I've already said it three times. I will use force next."

Groot took the key from the keyholder at the end of the hall. As he turned back to get to the jail, a small feline snapped his eyes open while he was covered in the darkness.

"JailBreak? How interesting." Meowth muttered. He had a whistle on his neck, and wore a blue cap on his head.

A sea of vines attacked Phyla-Vell in the vacuum of space. Her speed caused the vine to hit nothing, and she tried to attack the caster. Dawn was standing on a satellite and silently casted his next move.

Her blade was almost at his neck when he disappeared.

She swung her sword, breaking the satellite in half. Dawn already teleported away from her attack, and gripped the empty space in front of him. The satellite that was cut into two remerged, burying Phyla-Vell at the center of it, and it compacted.

[Earth Burial. Tier 4 magic]

BOOM

The satellite broke into pieces as Phyla-Vell summoned her quantum energy. His super-senses could hear that her heart was beating increasingly fast as they kept battling.

'She can't hold the energy from the cosmic entity any longer. They didn't have any contract huh.'

He silently acknowledges her method of doing things. Take whatever she can. Give nothing back.

She raised her arm, and a rain of light swords appeared. Her white hair floated gently in the vacuum of space as she spoke to Dawn.

"Last chance. Back off."

"Once you tried to rip my heart from my body, all deals are off lady." Dawn said with a glint of ruthlessness in his eyes. She brought her arm forward, with it, countless light swords flew toward Dawn.

However, Dawn held his arm wide to accept the rain of the sword.

"Come. Deus Ex-Machina."

BOOM

The attack destroyed the satellites all around the two, creating a cloud of dust floating in the area.

Phyla-Vell widened her eyes as she saw what happened. A giant angel with 6 wings was hugging Dawn from behind, receiving all of the attack for him.

The angel raised her head and stood up, the sword still stuck inside her back. Instantaneously, she appeared in front of Phyla-Vell and swung her 10 meter tall sword from the side. Phyla-Vell swung her Quantum sword, clashing it with the giant sword.

A massive shockwave appeared in the vacuum of space, and the strength of the two beings reached a draw.

"Damn it!" Phyla-Vell cursed, her grip on hersword caused her body to shiver. The angel kicked her as she was distracted, flinging her to the open galaxy. She stopped the momentum after a few hundred miles, and stabilized herself. However, the angel was merciless and already in front of her.

She flew quickly to avoid the sword and clashed with the angel a few times.

Inside the spaceship, Adam Warlock lost his sight of the battle as the ship's self-repair function had closed the hole he used to peek.

A few hallways from his location, Rocket, Quill and Groot were finally out of the prison.

"Quick. This way." Rocket led the group following the trace in the device in his hand.

"I'm never sleeping anywhere close to you again." Quill said while holding his buttocks as he ran.

Their retreat was interrupted by a small feline jumping on their path.

"You dare to run away from the Great Lord of Paradiso?" Meowth said.

"Go away cat!" Rocket yelled.

"No. You Go away..I mean back into your cell Racoon! Otherwise I will use your tree as a scratching post. There is no place for another mascot in this story."

"What mascot! If I had my gun, I would have blown you up already!. Groot!"

Rocket retreated, while Groot elongated his hand and tried to capture the pokemon. He also wanted to pet it, but he hid his intentions from the others. They greatly underestimated Meowth, a battle pokemon forced in a life and death battle in his previous world.

"STEEEEEEEL….CLAWWWWW!!" Meowth yelled out, extending his claws from his soft paws. The branch that wanted to hold him was cut off neatly into a 30 centimeter length.

"Firewood." Rocket grinned, already running away with Groot and Quill.

Meowth was startled, and he blew into his whistle as he ran after the escapee.

Rocket quickly led them to the spaceship hangar, while Quill desperately wished that his ship was still intact.

"Rocket. Now." Quill said.

"On it." The small animal pressed the button to release Adam Warlock's handcuff.

Inside the Captain's cabin, Adam Warlock suddenly found himself free of the power dampener imposed on him. Without saying a word, he held his palm together and he was teleported outside of the spaceship.

"Ah." He hissed as he felt something wrong with the soul stone. "I..can't hear it any longer?"

He wondered if Dawn had done something when he gently patted the soul stone with his staff before.

And Dawn actually did. He separated the Soul Stone sentience from influencing Adam, and also hid the soul stone fluctuation from the universe.

Somewhere along the universe, a tyrant that was following the trail of the soul stone became solemn as he sat lazily on his throne. 'How could this be?' Thanos thought. After the deal with Death, he could sense all of the activated infinity stones in the universe. But someone actually managed to trick his sense.

Adam Warlock didn't go crazy like what Rocket expected. The trio ran for their life as Meowth chased them. They finally saw where their ship was, but the cat lunged toward Quill.

Suddenly, a net was shot toward Meowth. It trapped the cat to the walls, and the trio stopped on their tracks as they looked at their helper.

"Get in. Now." Gamora said with a bazooka on her shoulder. She threw the bazooka away and climbed into the Arcadia.

Rocket, Quill and Groot quickly ran toward the ship and closed the door. Gamora urged Quill to fly away as she sat next to the captain's chair.

"So . The chicks calling the shots now? Who are you anyway?" Rocket asked.

"A traitor. Hurry, before they come here." Gamora acted, stealthily doing her mission to get the trio to join the ship on their own free will. Her first steps of the plan? To earn their trust.

The battle outside has reached its peak. Numerous figure's of Dawn shot a vine restraint toward Quasar, binding her from moving.

"Phyla-Vell.." Adam Warlock muttered, his instinct was telling him that his friend was controlled by something hideous.

The Deus Ex-Machina swung her sword into Phyla-Vell's neck for a last attack that would end her life completely. However, the sword stopped abruptly before it could cut as a golden skinned man was standing on the sword's path.

"DAWN EVERSTAR. I'M BEGGING YOU. SPARE HER!" Adam Warlock begged.

"Move. Unbeing already influenced her. Who knows what damage she would do to the universe if she was left alone." Dawn said.

"No. She wasn't controlled." Adam said, trying to change his mind. Quasar eyes darted between Adam and Dawn. She finally realized who was the source of the voice and the one trying to take over her mind in the last few days. She wanted to defend herself, but her mouth was tied up.

"Adam. Don't be naive." Dawn said, reaching his hand toward Adam Warlock's head. He wanted to teleport him away from there before he unalive Phyla-Vell.

The Milano passed by the scene of the battle.

"The people there are crazy!" Rocket exclaimed as he saw the sight of Phyla-Vell being tied up and a sword on Adam Warlock's neck.

"DAMN IT." Quill said, quickly turning the ship in the direction of the battle.

"What are you doing QUILL?" Rocket shouted.

"We brought him here. We can't let him die like this can't we? Especially since we haven't claimed the 100,000 unit bounty yet." Quill said, hiding the fact that he felt guilty the man was going to die because of his actions. The way Adam Warlock spoke and his demeanor was still in his mind, and he knew that the golden man was a kind man. He didn't mind making trouble for the villains, but not an innocent man.

He opened fire on the battle angel, interrupting the situation there, and then he ran away as quickly as he came because the angel was chasing the ship . Some of the bullets hit the vine, loosening the restriction on Phyla-Vell. She broke free and pushed Adam Warlock's head down as she thought he wanted to kill him too.

Her Quantum sword enveloped by the energy from the Unbeing sliced Dawn's right hand, separating it from the rest of his body. She grabbed Adam Warlock and quickly ran away toward the direction the ship was fleeing.

"Urk-" Dawn held his bleeding arm, and watched as Phyla-Vell ran away. An intrusive energy invaded his body, trying to destroy his entire existence.

He deactivated the angel summoning, and kneeled as he fought off the energy. "Hela." He muttered.

The Arcadia shot a retraction beam on Dawn, pulling him inside the ship. "Dawn. Are you okay?" Hela asked quickly.

"I need… you…" Dawn muttered before he passed out. Ryan's true body quickly teleported into Arcadia and grabbed Dawn before he fell to the floor.

"I'll handle this." Ryan said, and activated a scroll he bought from the system. It contained scarlet energy that he never thought he would use this early. His magic circuit swallowed the energy, and he guided the energy to help Dawn.

"That's…pure chaos." Hela widened her eyes as she realized it.

"Yeah. It is." Ryan said, blood dripping from the edge of his mouth. He could use chaos magic now, but he couldn't yet handle the raw power of the concentrated magic.

After a few minutes, Dawn opened his eyes. Ryan managed to stop the intrusion of the energy. But…

"His arms… they couldn't be regrown." Ryan said solemnly.

Dawn resummoned the straw hat from his storage ring and placed it to cover half his face as he lay down.

"So I guess…I'm Shanks instead of Luffy huh."
