Diana's eyes were cold as she stared at Ella. "What is it about?"
Ella, for the first time, felt overwhelmed by her.
Diana had become actually a bit taller than before, staring down at Ella, which gave her a vibe of Cayn standing in front of her.
"I, don't really know. It seems to be about a guest here he knows."
Diana looked at her quietly, because before she could ask more she felt someone approaching them.
She turned to look at Cassis and Cayn, who were looking at them while drinking.
'Is he the one coming?' She wondered calmly.
"Little princess, been a while."
Diana's eyes became colder than usual. 'Little, princess?'
She turned to look at the man with the side of her eyes.
Ella looked at this man confused.
Raist waved his glass of wine, "How many years has it been? The little girl must remember me?"
Ella was puzzled was this man was speaking in a mocking tone.
Diana's eyes were the same. "Who the fuck are you?" She asked calmly.
Raist's eyes widened as he was taken by surprise by her straightforwardness. "What?"
"You seem familiar," she walked up to him, "but you heard me bitch." Diana was head-to-head with him.
"Haha," he scoffed, "Come on, you should remember me," he raised his hand, "little princess."
Diana's cold eyes turned to look at his hand, slowly approaching her shoulder.
She unconsciously pulled her body back. Her eyes widened, wondering why she had done such a thing.
Raist's lips drew a smirk, 'See, your body remembers.'
Suddenly a bunch of unclear images started appearing in her mind.
Diana tilted her head, staring at the ground.
"You remember, little princess?" Raist kept pushing.
Her hand suddenly rushed to hold her head.
'It hurts...'
'It hurts...'
'IT HURTS...'
Cayn in the back kept watching silently.
Cassis looked worried, "Is she remembering?"
"Yeah," said Cayn.
"Is that why she looked unbothered by it all this time, she forgot?!" Cassis' voice started cracking.
"She forced herself to."
The both of them remained quiet for a few seconds.
Cayn continued with a growling voice, "It must have hurt that much..."
The cold dark energy started emitting from his suit, becoming uncontrollable.
Ella suddenly held Diana, "Hey! What's wrong?" She asked worriedly.
"Yeah," Raist approached Diana again with his hand. "Are you okay?"
Slap!
The sound was heard across the room.
The party turned quiet.
Everyone turned their heads, staring at Raist's hand in the air, just slapped by Diana's.
Everyone remained frozen in their place for a while.
Amine wanted to walk up to them. But, turned her head to look at Cayn, who signaled to her with two of his fingers to stay put.
His eyes were still looking ahead.
Amina took this chance to make everyone go back to their talk.
Diana slowly raised her head. "Raist, right?" Diana's voice turned sweet.
"For a moment I thought you forgot about me," he said smiling wildly.
"Oh no, no."
"It truly has been a while, I almost didn't recognize you."
"Neither did I," Diana barely cracked a smile.
Ella took a step back, not understanding what was happening.
"You must have known it pained my heart, knowing as soon as I came back, that you got married that quickly."
"Haha," Diana was laughing awkwardly. "It just happened to be that way."
"Hmm, yeah. But since I am here we should catch up." He raised his hand and placed it on her shoulder.
Diana was looking uncomfortable, her eyes blinking uncomfortably, as she tried to maintain an amicable expression.
Cassis, being a bit far, was baffled. "What, is this?" He was out of breath.
"The side of her that didn't heal, is what you are seeing."
Cassis's eyes trembled in pain. "Diana..."
Diana's breathing pattern shook, as she felt Raist touching her weirdly by her shoulder, squeezing back and forth.
She raised her eyes to look at him.
"I don't remember much from our childhood. But it's still nice that we met, we can talk about it."
Her eyes widened. "I, don't remember much either," she said with a light smile.
Raist smirked and raised his glass.
Diana flinched a bit.
He noticed it and it only made him smirk harder. "Why don't we catch up somewhere else, far away from this noise."
"I, I..." She tried to look away.
Raist got closer to her, making her freeze in her spot, tightening his hand on her shoulder again. "Oh, come on, don't be like this, little princess."
Diana's hands were trembling. She nodded quietly.
Raist's hand went around to her other shoulder as he made her walk in front of him, he used this chance to smile at Cassis. "Let's go," he continued.
Diana walked ahead while looking at the ground.
Everything around her was blurry.
She couldn't even walk straight if it weren't for Raist's hand.
Diana raised her head, but everyone in the crowd looked unfamiliar to her.
'Too, many people,' she could barely think straight.
Suddenly her eyes met with Cayn, whose eyes were calm and tranquil.
She stopped.
'Ore wa...' She was speaking in her mind, with Cayn's mother language.
"What's wrong?" Asked Raist.
She didn't answer.
Rather, she couldn't hear anymore.
Cayn silently drank the glass, while staring at her.
Diana was quietly looking at him.
'Ore wa, nani o yatte iru? (What am I doing?)"
Raist finally noticed when he followed her line of sight. "Don't worry about your husband."
His arm was about to go around her shoulders, when...
He found his field of view to suddenly become the ceiling of the hall.
'Huh?'
Thud.
He fell to the ground.
Raist didn't understand what happened.
Everyone at the party was looking at him as he stood up.
"I just fell," he apologeticly said as he straightened his clothes.
When he stood up Diana was still frozen in place.
"Haha," he laughed awkwardly, "Anyway, let's go."
But she didn't move.
"Little princess?"
Nothing.
He grew a bit annoyed. He raised his tone, "Dia-"
"Fucker," she growled.
Before he could barely spell her name, her fierce fiery red eyes turned to look at him by the side.
"Eh?" His eyes widened.
