The view was shaking, Ella was running, and the way was filled with bodies on the ground. No blood, no one was dead, yet some didn't move and some screamed in pain laying there.
The young Ella didn't mind them, running side by side with her brothers and more knights following them.
Entering the Royal Hall, finding Cayn standing at the entrance, staring at the King who was sitting on the throne.
In front of him stood four knights, their armors were golden, different from those outside.
"CAYN! Cayn! Cayn. " Amina's voice screaming as she was running to catch up to him. She stood behind him, trying to catch her breath.
"Mother," said Cayn without turning to look at her.
"S-stop this, please, listen to yo- your mother will you," she spoke breathing heavily.
"Mother," He stared at her by the side. "Wait for me here."
"C-Cay..."
He already walked toward the King.
Standing a few feet away from the golden knights.
The King had an ugly expression on his face, surprised, mad, irritated. He stared at Amina for a moment before meeting Cayn's cold eyes.
"So you are my son," he said with an imposing presence.
Cayn didn't answer and only watched.
"That was quite an entrance, my dear son. But do you have any idea what you have done?" his imposing voice englobed the hall.
Cayn stood there calmly, still not saying a word.
"Speak, are you going to take responsibility for your actions?" Screamed the King.
Cayn slowly opened his mouth. "Are you coming down yet?"
"Such insolence!" raged one of the golden knights.
"YOU DARE!" Jumped another, walking forward unsheathing his sword. "YOU LOWLY COMM-"
Cayn suddenly appeared in front of the knight before he could unsheath his sword fully, his golden eyes shinned with a tray of golden light following them.
The beast and the prey.
The knight was taken aback before his eyes could even show the surprised look on his face.
Thud.
The ground shook, and the figure of the knight disappeared. the sound of the explosion came from a corner of the hall. The wall was destroyed, and the smoke around it slowly dissipated, showing the figure of the knight, his head piercing the wall, broken limbs, and blood all over his golden armor.
Everyone screamed with shock at the scene, Amina included.
The king watched in silence.
"That was a royal knight, you won't escape execution!" screamed the other knight holding his spear in position.
"Anyone who dares to make fun of someone's blood doesn't deserve to be called a knight, and even more, not deserving to fight for his kingdom," Cayn spoke calmly with a strong presence while staring at the King.
The people and knights watching from the entrance of the hall gasped.
"You dare keep up your ACT!" screamed the spear knight as he disappeared, appearing on top of Cayn. "DIE!"
Boom.
The spear descended.
the figure of Cayn faded, avoiding the speak with merely a few inches.
"Such wasted movement," he said as his hand roughly gripped the knight's head, who tried his best to get away, and started screaming as Cayn slowly held it tighter, veins appearing on his hand and forearm while he smiled.
Crack, screaming.
"Not standing up for your friend's mistake."
Crack, screaming.
"Holding such killing intent to the victim of racist speech."
Crack, blood bursting out his ears.
"Raping two girls last night, had a fun time both of you, hm? Golden knight Miles."
Crack, his eyes rolled, his hands fell.
"Unworthy."
Then Cayn stared at the other two knights as he threw the body a few meters away, they stood at their place shaking, he smiled at them.
He turned to meet the King's eyes, "Are you done assessing my strength?"
"How did you know, for Miles and Luke," he asked calmly.
"After all it happened outside the palace, a world I don't think you had the chance to experience fully." He answered coldly.
"So in front of you, am I also unworthy for keeping them beside me even when they were doing such atrocious things?" Asked the King as he stood up.
"You are weak." Coldly spoke Cayn.
The King started laughing.
"Julien!" Screamed Amina.
"It's okay, I will just be teaching my son a lesson about strength." He turned to look at Cayn as he walked towards him, taking up his sword. Golden Aura englobed his whole body, slowly immersing into the sword, that started vibrating and roaring like a beast. "Do you know what I lived through to be where I am today? To reach this strength! I may be unworthy in your eyes for letting such scum into my palace, but they were useful even with a few of their misdoings, I can't just-"
"Are you coming yet?" Asked Cayn again coldly.
The King looked at him with surprise, then laughed again. "Ah, the vigor of the young, I would give any-"
"Then I am coming for you." Said Cayn coldly, walking towards the king.
"BASTARD!"Screamed Julien, "I will tea-"
"You talk a lot." Cayn's figure was already standing next to him, his hand roughly grabbed the King's face. The golden aura disappeared.
Thud.
The ground around them broke, as Cayn slammed the King's head.
"You thought that's all it's gonna take for me to sympathize with your ways."
The King was looking at the roof of the hall, his eyes wide open in astonishment.
"I am not in the mood to be hearing your excuses, or that the world is not only black and white bullshit. That sounds weak to me."
The King laughed, "Really," he slowly stood up. "That blow to my head did open my eyes a bit. I can't believe a fifteen years old kid would be able to reach me, after all, what I did to reach thi-"
"Are you dumb?"
"Ha?" Asked Julien in confusion.
Cayn sighed, "If everything worked out just because you thought you worked hard, then everyone in the world could become a sword saint. What's important is not that you worked hard, but how hard you worked. You had to deviate from your path because you were weak while walking through it, can't you see it became a habit? Now, even when you stand as King, the strongest in the land, you still walk the deviated path."
The King faced Cayn as he listened, looking at him in embarrassment.
"And you still dare to look for my mother when your kingdom is in such a state," said Cayn coldly, "She waited all those years for you, to take care of those bullshit internal affairs of this shitty country. And you still dare find excuses, neglecting not only her but also your children."
Cayn's presence rose. "You are no King. You are merely a slave."
His aura appeared, pitch black covering his entire body.
"Raise your sword."
The King laughed, "I was foolish, but I guess it is too late for such words."
The King raised his sword once again, and his golden aura raged.
The auras clashed, pushing the people at the entrance outside the room, leaving Cayn and Julien inside deaf to their screaming.
