Earth, the planet we live in, is a beautiful planet. Humans, who inhabit this planet, think that there are no other place where humans could live.
But that notion was wrong. Humanity which barely gained the nuclear power was struggling among themselves.
They were fighting over territory. Because the earth had become polluted. And most of the areas were uninhabitable.
Mankind was on the brink of extinction. Humans started culling. They hunted other humans and only the strong survived.
This was one hundred years ago. Back then the population went down from 9 billion to just one hundred million.
Humans only live on one continent. The other continents are too polluted.
But they thrived on that continent. However, fate had something else for humans.
You can say it was bad luck. One day, the skies were filled. The humans looked up to the sky. They saw a big carpet.
It wasn't a carpet. It was a fleet. A massive fleet of aircrafts.
They bombarded the lands. Killing all humans in the wake.
That bombardment should've killed every human possible.
But one survived. A boy of 17. He was underground, mining for materials. He was lucky.
When he got back to the surface, he only saw scorched land. But he was not shocked.
Not in the least. Instead he started laughing.
He should have been shocked. Grieving for the death of his friends and family.
But even after seeing all of that he didn't cry or become sad.
He laughed. Because he had no one in the world.
Alone from the moment he was born. He was a slave for the people to use. Abused and mistreated, he lost his human emotions.
"Looks like I am alone." He just said that and wandered around.
The boy named Clive Belmont. He became the sole survivor of humanity and the only one left on earth.
It is his story of becoming a normal person who wants to live in peace but can not.
