At first light, both armies have already sortied. Queen Sophia was at the vanguard donned in her golden armor from head to toe. A large carnation wearing a crown was etched on her breastplate. Her helm had a crown of golden carnations meticulously designed. Her cape was blood red and was painted with the golden carnations. A rapier was around her waist, not for fighting, but for commanding her army. There was no need for her to fight. She mounted a black steed donned with a golden caparison with two carnations embroidered above the hind legs. With her are her six guards called the Nelken Ritter, who are battle-experienced knights whose skill equal or surpass those of the generals of Gallia. They are knights the queen chose herself who have been training since they were young. Each of them wore silver armor and had longswords and bows. Their steeds wore black caparisons.
