As Adoneous looked at the screen in front of him, he simply frowned and started at it.
"Fifteen years."
Adoneous had regressed. He had utilised an item he had obtained from the depths of the ocean, left by the Demon Overlord Panvarez, probably because it was broken, despite being an ancient item.
[YOU ARE INVITED TO THE TOWER OF TRIALS
DO YOU ACCEPT THE INVITATION?]
Adoneous was an orphan before he entered the tower. Due to being sociopathic, he had a very reduced emotional spectrum, thus was effectively turned into a loner. Except for her. She was the only one who had stood by him no matter what had transpired, no matter what happened. Through the infinite scorn and hate all over, she had stood by him, with a smile. He looked down at his fist. His knuckles had turned white.
Adoneous's eyes had been opened when he entered the tower. He realised how fickle ordinary lives were to the Tower Ascendants. As earth had yet to be linked to the universal consciousness, that spans across the entirety of the millions of timelines existing out there, its inhabitants were weak. Weaker than all the species inhabiting the tower and not to say. It would start ten years from now, the Catacalysm. It would result in the earth being connected to the Universal Consciousness and it would be introduced to mana. The earth would expand to the size of Jupiter, and keep expanding with the level of average power of the earth dwellers. These dwellers did not just involve humans but also all the beasts and animals out there. Thus it was imperetive to gain power. He was one of the lucky ones to be invited at the beginning, before it all started, in fact one of the first. He had been assigned the class of Necromancer, but although it gave him a stronger starting point, after a few floors, not only does your level start to stop developing but your summons hit a level where they cannot better after the point when they were reanimated. Thus he had become one of the weakest out there.
"Yes. I accept the invitation."
As he said that he touched the forehead of Welmare, my Eastern Screech Owl. Due to being a loner, he had decided to buy a pet. While he was searching for one, a rich guy from school had decided to give away the weakest of the offsprings of his Owl to him out of pity. Although smaller than the rest, she was still pure bred, thus was very attractive once she aged a few years. She even always decided to snuggle on his shoulders.
Soon they both were wrapped up in a whirlpool as they vanished away, leaving an empty apartment.
What they appeared in was at the centre of a giant field. Soon a screen appeared in front of him, as Welmare shrunk away on his shoulder, possibly due to the bright light or the unfamiliar space.

Points. That was the currency in the tower, used to purchase various traits and weapons usually mass produced. Traits were unique and were purchasable only once thus it was a difficult choice. Thus he decided to keep it off for now.
Adoneous looked at Welmare.
"Listen close girl. Go deep into the forest and find a safe burrow and rest there. Let your senses take over and make sure to keep your insticts peeled okay?"
Although Welmare and he had some sort of understanding, it was usually not possible to converse typically. However, the tower was welcoming to all. Thus, even if your languge was a barrier, you could effectively relay the meaning of your words through the mana. Welmare gave a small hoot and flew off. Adoneous then sat down on a stone laying nearby and closed his eyes. He assumed a meditative pose and started to do something he had done so many times on so many occassions in his last chance that now it seemed to be secong nature. He started to seperate the mana from the air he breathed. He started to make it move towards his brain and started to construct a ring around the base of it. This was what he had learned. Since he had been assigned a mana heavy class he needed to make his mana more concentrated and his mana reserves more vast.
Unknowingly over fifteen hours had passed. Adoneous's body had gone through a change. The mana in the air was being sucked up more voraciously than it had been before, and his body had started to develop. This was another feature of the tower. Although death was possible, he could not die of hunger or thirst unless willingly wishing for it. His body had completely changed. His face had become a lot more angular and his body had become fitter, his muscles developed enough to make the outline of his packs visible. He had become much more handsome. Gone was the lonely figure of a short boy with dark circles under his eyes, now there stood a boy about six feet tall and eyes that turned crimson red, making him look even demonic, something irressistible, yet would completely destroy you.
"Doable for now. Status."
