Chapter 121 - Chapter 116: There is power in death.

-Amegakure-

In Pain's eyes, Toru had grown up a bit since he came to Akatsuki. He was a rather mysterious boy as far as his mind was concerned, but if that person said so, well it must be true. That mysterious person said to Pain: "He's just like you" and Pain thought about it for a few seconds.

With the information Pain has from Toru, he could confirm it. That boy has felt the real pain.

"I hope you're not wrong that you sent those kunoichi to the chūnin exams. I gave you my authorization, but that doesn't mean I'm fully confident that their results will be favorable."

Toru crossed his arms as he listened to Pain. He sighed and shook his head. His eyes glowed dimly with the light of Kodō Shigan and then a few words came out of his mouth. "I'm sure. Those girls won't fail, I bet my head that those three girls will succeed in their mission."

The words this boy said were very confident. This caused Pain to simply walk away in silence while Konan watched.

She recognized the confidence Toru has in Pain and her. He's just a child, that's why he's easy to manipulate, but... Are you sure it's not you who are being used by this child? That thought crossed Konan's mind.

"Let's wait here, Konan-san. Soon the information will reach our hands."

After that, Toru maintained the daggers as if he was about to use them, all this, while Konan watched wondering what will happen in Akatsuki's future with Toru here.

-In Sunagakure-

Sometimes the urge to help another person comes out of nowhere. It is born from deep in the heart and explodes in the back of the brain, which sends all the information to the rest of the body forcing it to move at the wrong time.

This impulse does not usually arise in just anyone, not everyone is willing to risk their life to protect another completely unknown person. Normally, people's bodies stiffen in the face of a dangerous situation. Still, there is a girl who was willing to risk the road for her only goal.

Ino and Sakura watched Hinata appear in front of the chrysalis Fuu created and slightly broke it with a small blow of her hands. At that same instant Neji arrived, who looked at Hinata as she entered the cocoon of bud.

'Hinata-sama...'

***

Inside the chrysalis, Fuu opened her eyes when she saw Hinata arrive. At first she thought the enemy approached this place, but her body relaxed at the sight of this girl she considered a good friend.

"Hinata-chan!"

"Hinata-san..."

Fuu jumped on Hinata and hugged her with all her might. Gaara just watched this without saying anything, not that anyone had much to say in a situation like this either.

"Friends don't quit! I told you Gaara!"

Spitting a few words in Gaara's face, Fuu rubbed her face on Hinata's breasts. In response to this, Hinata stiffened like a log and closed her mouth and eyes tightly. For a moment she forgot what she came to this place to do.

If Hinata wants to help Gaara and Fuu, she must find out the root of the problem, but the loving embrace Fuu was giving her was suppressing her motor skills. She basically couldn't think or move easily and Gaara noticed this, so he decided to interrupt.

He said, clearing his throat, "Why are you here...? It's dangerous..."

Hinata snapped back to reality when she heard Gaara. She broke away from the affectionate Fuu and looked at the Kazekage seriously. Before that, she looked through the chrysalis hole for a second and then tried to explain the situation outside.

"I think it was a man. He had a shamisen [Japanese musical instrument] in his arms, he also seemed to be protected by a chakra barrier."

Gaara looked at the ground and nodded his head in sorrow for his bad decisions these past few hours.

Now, if you summarize the story, it turns out that Gaara has been being stalked by traitors from his own village since the second test of the chūnin exams began. All in order to get the Bijū of a tail and also get Gaara out of power as Kazekage.

Hinata was sympathetic to this. Being a Kage is a pretty difficult tardea... not for Tsunade, but for Gaara. He has had to deal with it all by himself, being hated even by people in his own village. Gaara just wants to be a good Kage that protects his village and that everyone respects and loves him.

"He is the one responsible for the sandstorm. I have to take care of this and..." Gaara tried to get up, but Hinata put her hand in front of him stopping him.

"No need" The veins around Hinata's eyes bulged. She looked at the chains and saw chakra flowing through them. An idea quickly came to her head. For that very reason, she approached Gaara and pointed her hand at a specific spot on the chain.

"What are you trying to...?"

"Juken... [Soft fist]"

Clang...

The moment Hinata's hand hit the chain, it broke. This made, outside that place, the man with the shamisen was surprised and a bit confused. That was why he quickly sped up the song and the chain began to quickly pull out Fuu's Bijū.

The acceleration of the extraction was quite noticeable, as a part of Fuu's Bijū could be seen coming out of her back. Hinata looked at this in shock. Well, she just found out that this enthusiastic girl was a Jinchūriki, it was strange, but now she couldn't stop to think for so long.

"Juken!"

Clang. The chain snapped and outside the man holding the shamisen snapped his teeth. In addition to the two Jinchūriki being protected by the chrysalis, the connection to the chain was broken. His mission is now ruined and he has no choice but to go fight the Jinchūriki.

Fuu, at the same time, thanked Hinata for saving her. If it hadn't been for her, she would have surely died along with Gaara. Still, despite this, she didn't understand what Hinata did to break the chains. Although the explanation is obvious, since the chains are made of chakra, Hinata's taijutsu can break chakra, just like that.

"I thank you, but from now on I'll handle this alone. You can go back to your team, Hinata-san."

Gaara is indebted to Hinata, yes, but that doesn't mean he should be released from his duty as Kazekage. Right now, he'll take it upon himself to kick a little bit of the guy who has caused him so much trouble.

Hinata, however, doesn't think so. She smiled and looked through the opening of the chrysalis.

Sakura and Ino had run into Neji's team. It seemed that they were now protecting the chrysalis.

"No. No need. This is over now, I can end this. There's someone I want to reach and this will be one more step to be able to reach them."

Gaara's eyes widened at the sight of Hinata's dazzling smile. He could understand that smile she had and a thought went through his head. 'Toru, uh...' Gaara also smiled after so long. Even this made Fuu almost choke on her own saliva.

She thought Gaara was a bitter guy who never smiles, but she was wrong.

After this, the two Jinchūriki came out of the chrysalis next to Hinata, who looked at the mountain in front of them as the veins around her eyes swelled up.

"Hinata, why do you always run off into danger!" Ino obviously scolded Hinata a little. Still, she responded with another question.

"Are you ready, Ino?

"Huh?"

"We're going to fight the cause of this. Kazekage-sama and Fuu will take care of clearing the area. Neji-onii-sama is also following Kazekage-sama's orders."

"Hey, wait. If you just say that out of the blue..."

"Ino... we have to fight. Sakura-san will take care of helping the injured. Besides, we have Kazekage-sama's authorization. Right now, we can practice for when the time comes."

"You mean that...?"

"Yes. It's time to grow up, Ino. Can you help me grow up?"

Hinata understood her hand and a small smile of confidence formed on her lips. The wind passed over her face and a memory came to her mind.

Children grow up to become adults. Girls grow up to become women, boys grow up to become men.

While Hinata and Ino are growing into women, out there, somewhere in the Shinobi World, Toru is growing into a man. Time goes by, time goes on as usual, so things are going to change. The future will be vague, but destiny will always go in a straight line.

Ino takes Hinata's hand and smiles looking at the ground. They were not so close back then, but now that they have the same goal, they feel closer than ever.

***

Moving through the desolate desert, the shamisen man is desperate. He can't see these girls anywhere, but he knows they are there. The speed at which they move sends shivers down his spine, the ice-cold look in those moon-white eyes heralded only trouble. The monstrous strength of the golden-haired girl is making his body start to tremble with fear.

As fast as the air currents passed by him, he felt the chakra ducts in his body shatter into pieces and in a single second, two strange forces hit him in two different places on his face.

It was true. There was something strange about those girls. From the beginning he felt as if death was embracing them, silently, protecting them with his bizarre love.

Before falling, the man with the shamisen looked at one last thing. The sky above him seemed to want to break. Although this was obviously due to the double punch he received from those girls who call themselves Hyūga Hinata and Yamanaka Ino.

'The sky... the beautiful sunny sky...' The man began to close his eyes. 'There's something strange... something strange in front of me, but I can't understand it. Maybe... I'm just thinking too much.'

-Near that place-

'What... what was that...?'

In the presence of two female-looking monsters, Ajisai hid behind the sand while looking at the ground with her body trembling. Fuyo and Suiren shared the same feeling. They saw it too.

Although that was only a fleeting feeling that disappeared right away. They thought that the gigantic chakra those girls had now had an explanation.

"Let's go. Let's go to the tower. We have what Toru-sama needs."

"Yes, but..."

"What the hell. That was scary!"

Suiren and Fuyo followed Ajisai's orders, but as they left, they felt that they had somehow witnessed something incredible.

-Hours later-

After the teams handed over the scrolls, the Kazekage himself said a few words.

Even knowing what had happened, he couldn't overlook the fact that some shinobi saved him. And now that the chūnin exams have been cancelled because of that situation, Gaara has no choice but to inform the participants that they now have to return home. Still, it's not all bad, as even after darkness covered the sky, a small ray of light broke through the clouds.

"I'm sorry you had to go through this. The chūnin examinations have been cancelled due to circumstances I intend to keep secret. For now, everyone should return to their villages" The participants looked confused by Gaara's words. "However, upon returning to the place you possibly consider home, the Kage of your village will decide whether you become a chūnin based on the information regarding your performance in this examination." With this, the mood in the place changed quite a bit. Many sighed in relief, as some have seen two monsters roaming the desert.

"That would be all, Gaara" Kankuro said.

"Yes, that's it."

"I see. So, regarding Akatsuki. They have not made an appearance at any time during the examinations."

"I know what you mean. They knew this is a trap. But now we know they're active, and we have to do something about it by the time they show up. Sooner or later they'll come after me."

"By the time that happens, I'll make sure I do everything in my power. You will never act alone again

"Yes... I appreciate it, Kankuro..."

"Don't thank me at all. I'm your advisor, it's my job. Now let's prepare the reports and send them to the villages. I'm sure the Hokage will be in for a big surprise."

After this, the teams had a great banquet before leaving the windy country. Many talked and made friends in the course of this examination. Enemies and unrequited loves were born, but without a doubt, a strange and ironic rumor spread throughout the villages.

Killer Queen was born.

***

After the banquet, Fuu clung to Hinata and Ino and tried to go with them to Konoha, but her teammates stopped her and dragged her away in the direction of Takigakure [Hidden Waterfall Village].

Konoha team 11, along with the other teams set off for home.

***

At the same time, in a place a little further away, the Amegakure teams gather and prepare to leave, but Ajisai refuses to go with them. And although for a few moments the other Amegakure teams were annoyed by Ajisai's attitude, the shinobi continued on their way with the information they had gathered.

Once everything was lonely and silent, this team of kunoichis ran with all their might in the direction of the outskirts of the windy country.

It took a few hours before they managed to get out of that country.

And when they reached the first forest, Ajisai took out a scroll from one of the cards and extended it with one hand in the air. Using her spare hand, she took a brush stained with black ink and, with great skill, in less than a second wrote down everything she had seen and experienced in these examinations. Once she finished writing, she sealed the parchment and bit her finger.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"

Okaminaru appeared.

"We have accomplished shows mission. Okaminaru-sama, please deliver this information to Toru-sama" The three girls said in unison as they bowed.

Okaminaru felt flattered, for some humans respect and adore him. A smile formed on his mouth full of snow white fangs. "This will be for Toru-dono then. I'll take care of delivering it, now you guys can go back to Amegakure."

Okaminaru has already been informed of this, so it is quite convenient.

After that, Okaminaru disappeared with the scroll in his mouth. This left these girls at ease, for they are hopeful that this scroll will make Toru happy.

"We continue. Maybe we will meet Toru-sama on the way."

-Amegakure-

Waiting on Pain's statue hand, Toru closed his eyes and let the cold wind caress his face. Konan watched this from the other hand of the statue, silently, keeping an eye on this boy all the time.

At one point, Toru did something interesting. He stood up, as he was sitting and then jumped down.

As he fell, he bit his hand and a cloud of smoke appeared, followed by the presence of a large wolf with white fur with black. That was Okaminaru. He was holding a scroll in his mouth. Toru understood this at once, he knew that the scroll was sent by them.

"Thank you, Okaminaru."

"Don't worry, I'll go back to my village now. Call me when you need me."

"I will."

After that, still falling, he opened the scroll and looked at the written contents. "Fufufu..." A smile formed on his mouth as he tried to hold back laughter.

Boom!

Water splashed down the fall and there in the middle, Toru stood up. The scroll was incinerated by the Shakuton's flames and then he looked up.

"We have work to do, Konan-san. I already found the seven-tailed Jinchūriki. I'll go after him right now, if you don't follow me you'll lose sight of me."

As if it were child's play, Toru took a leap and started jumping in the air again and again until he was flying away extremely fast.

Konan wasted no time and spread his wings to follow him. She still didn't understand how he had managed to make it so fast, but if there was a Jinchūriki involved, then there was no time to waste.

In death there is power. In the eyes of god, power is everything. Toru's power will clash with that of a Bijū for the second time.

The chūnin examinations are over. A new arc begins.
