Feeling a voice whisper in his ear, Toru slowly turned around. A second later, his eyes met a giant lump of silver fur, two eyes glowing a deep crimson red and perfectly sharp fangs forming a macabre grin.
Standing in front of Toru, a gigantic silver-furred wolf began to walk around him, the animal was analyzing its prey.
"A human, huh..."
The animal's feminine voice overshadowed its terrifying appearance, however, Toru remained calm at all times, he simply stood appreciating this strange canine-like being.
While it is true that Kuchiyose no Jutsu without a contract takes you to the place where the species with the most natural affinity is, the compatibility must be great, that's why Toru was not going to be intimidated by this giant wolf that was in front of him.
(Still... Isn't it too big?)
Toru's eyes narrowed as he saw the size of the beast, it was almost as big as the trees soaring into the sky, possibly the size of a small mountain. Its fur glistened, showing how healthy it was, its fangs also looked very clean, though the smell coming from its snout was deadly, enough to make Toru feel a little disgusted.
"It's been a long time since I've seen a human in these parts. Hm... the flesh of a human child is always soft and its bones easy to digest. Should I have this little snack since my daughter isn't seeing me?"
With a sharp fanged grin, the wolf felt satisfied seeing his little food in front of him, but as much as this beast tried to be scary, the child didn't flinch.
"Aren't you going to talk, scream maybe?"
The wolf a moved a little closer to get a good look at the child in front of her. The moment her eyes managed to see the boy's full appearance, Toru spoke.
"My name is Asahi Toru, I executed a summoning jutsu without a contract and appeared here."
With an emotionless face, Toru looked into the wolf's eyes.
(I know that already idiot, not just anyone appears out of nowhere wrapped in a cloud of smoke).
Laughing internally, the big wolf found this amusing. At first he tried to scare the boy, but his efforts were in vain, this boy seemed to have nerves of steel, which was a problem, as this wolf's pack was nearby, so revealing his location would be catastrophic.
"A summoning jutsu, do they really teach that to children?"
Shaking his head, the wolf lamented the stupidity of the ninja. Training children from a very young age was fine, but teaching them jutsu that would only be used in wars already gave him various ideas of what he was thinking in the shinobi world. Everyone tries to increase their military power, so they can dominate among the weaker ones, this is something that did not go with this wolf's style.
"Hm... I don't know, I just came here to make the summoning contract, I brought some big scrolls sealed in smaller scrolls, so..."
"Haa? You think I'm interested in forming a contract with a human child? That would be stooping pretty low, so why don't you get the hell out of my home, human trash?"
With a dangerous gleam in his eyes, the wolf looked at Toru. Instantly, the mood changed, everything was getting blurry.
(Genjutsu...)
"Release"
Clasping his hands together, Toru knew right away that this was a genjutsu, so he didn't hesitate to release this mental binding. This made the wolf's eyes widen in surprise, apparently, the ninja's skill had grown in recent years, no, it wasn't that, it's just that Toru is someone talented.
"Hmph! What a cocky brat, but I guess that's the funniest thing, seeing someone like that go down in battle is just satisfying!"
Chuckling, the wolf seemed to be mentally unwell, or simply appeared to be crazy to scare the kid, but even with all that, he still failed to make this kid give up.
"But why don't you want to make a contract? I could get food for you, or maybe you want something else?"
Bowing his head in confusion, Toru tried to find an answer to this conflict, however, it seemed impossible to negotiate with the wolf. He kept refusing again and again, no matter how hard he begged, he could not convince the big bad wolf.
"Ha~ you'd better get the hell out of here, I'm running out of patience."
Stomping heavily, the ground shook. The wolf was losing control, after all the stress of having a child repeat the same question over and over again was annoying.
"Mom, what's taking so long?"
Appearing out of the bushes, a small wolf cub appeared. The larger wolf watched him with a disappointed look on his face, after all this was what he was trying to hide.
"What is that thing, a dog that walks on two legs?"
This small wolf pup was also strangely large, as it was forty centimeters tall, its fur was also silver and its eyes were a sapphire blue color.
Toru watched this with curiosity, a miniature version of the giant logo had appeared, due to the strong resemblance the two canines had, Toru deduced that they are related.
"Okaminaru, I told you to stay with the pack, do you have sweet blackberries in your ears?"
"But... I was worried about you, mom..."
Okaminaru looked at the ground sadly, once again her mother would scold her for disobeying her orders.
(Shit, now what do I do? That brat already saw Okaminaru, he didn't manage to find a way to kick him out of here!)
Shaking his head, the wolf was in internal chaos. Not only had they discovered his daughter, but also the location of the pack, if the three wolf clans that are spread across the continent manage to hit the location, a territorial dispute will take place, and that's something the wolf didn't like at all.
"Listen brat, you're going to have to follow me."
Looking at Toru, the wolf sighed and started walking in a specific direction.
(I couldn't say anything at all this time...).
Closing his eyes and putting his hands in his pockets, Toru sighed wearily. He just wanted to sign the contract so he could use the summoning jutsu properly, but this was getting even more complicated, so he had no choice but to follow the giant wolf.
-Somewhere in that mysterious forest...
Looking around, Toru was surprised, there were about sixty adult wolves in that place, there were also quite a few puppies, so you could say it was quite a large population. This place is the territory of the Okami clan, the powerful clan of the southern wolves.
"Is that... a human?"
"The leader brought a human..."
"But it looks delicious, doesn't it?"
"I think it's very adorable, it would look good as a pet."
"You and your bullshit..."
The wolves began to mutter, they all watched the human invading their territory, but what struck everyone as odd, was that their own leader was the one leading the human child.
"Kukuku... Hahahaha!"
No one expected it, the clan leader started laughing out loud, after all what was going to happen next would be very funny. Well, the Okami clan is almost always bored, so bringing a ninja to this place would give them a few hours of entertainment.
The Okami, as a warrior race were born into this world to take on their own kind. The world gave them fangs and claws to defend themselves against the cruel nature, a great mind to be able to reason and not become mere irrational animals, and lastly the gift of chakra. Many of the Okami are able to control the chakra in their body, either to strengthen their body or to perform ninjutsu.
So far there are four clans of the wolf race, the Okami clan, the Tsume clan, the Kenshi clan and the Ashi clan.
The Ashi clan and the Tsume clan are always in constant conflict, as they dispute the northern and eastern territories, while the Okami clan and the Kenshi clan prefer to leave the conflict aside and live in peace.
(Hm... This is very difficult, just as Yamato-sensei said. In case the wolves attack me, I wouldn't know what to do, the first thing is to try to calm the situation).
Shrugging his shoulders, Toru felt strange being surrounded by a large pack of wolves. They were all gigantic except for the pups, but the bigger the enemy, the easier it is to hit them.
"Brat, you said you want to make a contract, right?"
Hearing their leader's words, the wolves smiled as they wagged their tails from left to right. It had been a long time since a strong human had come to this place, but since it was a child they were talking about, they didn't have much hope.
But it was different for Toru, who looked seriously at the wolf before answering.
"That's right, that's what I came for."
Seeing the look of determination on this boy's face, the wolf remembered some things from the past that made her sad for a few seconds.
(You fucking brat, why are you acting so confident?)
It was just like in the past, Toru was very similar to this old wolf's deceased master.
"Then, I must introduce myself. I am Okamitsuki, the leader of the Okami clan, and this morning I painted my claws with the blood of my enemies."
Swallowing saliva, the wolves nearby began to surround Toru, forming a large circle.
Seeing this, the boy could already see what was to come.
"You want to sign a contract with my clan so you can summon us whenever you feel like it, that's something I won't allow, but, since you came from so far away."
Approaching Toru, Okamitsuki sniffed the boy. His scent was pleasant and dangerous at the same time.
"Kukuku... Okamikaze, bring the scroll!"
Okamitsuki looked at the crowd with a smile, a second later, like a shadow of impending death, a wolf with dark silver fur appeared. It had a large collar around its neck, which had a scroll attached to a buckle.
"I can finally get this off. Nee-san, are you seriously doing this against a human child? I think it's too over the top."
Taking off the necklace, Okamikaze looked at her older sister, who responded with a small grunt.
"Never mind, this will be enough to get that kid the hell out of here."
Okamitsuki took the scroll between her fangs and tossed it to Toru, who caught it in her arms.
"If you beat me in a duel, the scroll and the contract will be yours.
"Duel!!!"
Hearing their leader, all the wolves shouted excitedly. A duel, is something sacred in the Okami clan, in the past this duel was used to forge an alliance with the Kenshi clan, and this time, it will be used so that Toru can have a chance to get the contract with the Okami clan.
"Do you agree?"
"I have no problem, I agree"
Tucking his hands into his pockets, Toru looked up so he could meet Okamitsuki's eyes.
-In Konoha-
While Toru was about to start a duel to the death, Yamato was relaxing lying on a wooden bed in the open air.
It had only been a few minutes, so there was no need to go after Toru yet. Although right now Yamato was wondering what kind of summoning his student would be able to achieve.
"Sensei? Where is Toru?"
Interrupting Yamato's moment of peace, three girls appeared. Those girls were Hinata, Hanabi and Ino.
"Nii-san, where are you?"
Hanabi wasted no time and started looking for her older brother, but she couldn't manage to find him anywhere, she also couldn't smell that apple smell Toru has. This was all strange, and then there was Yamato resting on a wooden bed.
"Toru is trained right now, we have to wait for him."
Crossing his arms, Yamato felt a little guilty. These girls came the purpose of meeting Toru, but that boy right now was surrounded by carnivorous creatures.
-Okami clan
Looking into each other's eyes, Toru held the daggers tightly. He wasn't sure if he could give Okamitsuki a scratch, but he still had to try, if only to get the contract.
(The target is big, maybe a hundred meters tall. Its legs are big enough to crush me, so I have to be careful.)
Not even five seconds had passed, but Toru's mind was already forming strategies that would allow him victory.
"Well... Okamitsuki-okaa-san, Human... begin!"
Stepping back, Okaminaru kicked off this fight.
But just at that moment, Toru shot out against a tree, the thump of the boy's small body impacting against the wood echoed in the forest, at the same time, a large amount of blood came out of Toru's mouth, to finally fall face first to the ground.
Toru had not managed to see it, no, he could see it, it was just that he could not defend himself against an attack of that magnitude.
(I can't move my body... the blood is coming out, my vision becomes blurry and it hurts a lot. And also... I feel very cold)
The symptoms of death begin to torment Toru's body, it was only a matter of time, for death to claim the soul of this unfortunate child.
