Charlotte collapsed on her desk and continue doing was she was bisy with before angel came to her.
When her office phone rang she raised her head from the computer and picked it up
"Sir?"
"Charlotte are you done with the documents" Walker asked her
" Almost done sir"
"Bring it to my office when you are done and wait, I do not need any visitor's today."
" What should I tell anyone that comes to look for you? " She asked as she wanted know the right thing to say least she offends anyone
"Just tell them that I am not around"
"Ok sir"
Thirty minutes time she stood up and went to collect what she has printed out from the printing machine and proceeded to take them to Walker
"Come in" she held his voice from inside
She pushed the door open and got inside "here are the documents"
" Thanks Charlotte. Remember what I said about anyone disturbing me? " He raised a brow at her
" I will tell them that you are not around"
"Good, close the door on your way out" he kept his eyes on her untill she shut the door behind her
The sounds of heel's clicking on the floor caused Charlotte to raise her head up. She saw Evelyn, Walker's baby mama walking towards her
She felt an headache rising. Evelyn was a very unreasonable woman and Charlotte knew that Evelyn would cause a scene if she was told that Walker was around and would insist on waiting inside his office
"Where is your boss" Evelyn came to a stop in front of her desk
"He is not around" Charlotte stood up as she prepared herself for anything
"Well I will wait for him inside his office"
Charlotte rushed to stand in her front with her hand hands stretched out "am sorry Miss Evelyn but that is not possible
"What do you mean it's not possible, step out of my way" Evelyn's voice was aggressive
" He is not around" Charlotte insisted
"I am his wife, surely I can wait for my husband in his offfice" her fave held irritation as she glared at Charlotte fiercely
Charlotte nearly rolled her eyes at her statement of being Walker's wife. Many people did not know this but she knew how Evelyn became Walker's baby mama
When she first started working for Walker she surprised when she found out that he has a child but was not married.
She was even more surprised when she discovered that he hates his baby mama after he told her countless of times not to let Evelyn into his office as he did not was to see not speak with her
She has been so confused at that time. One day he told her that he was sure his baby mama was going to come visiting so she should tell her that he was not around
She could not hold her curiosity so she blurted out the question that was on her mind and that of almost everyone who knew about his odd relationship with Evelyn
"Why don't you want to see her?" She quickly rushed to apologise thinking that she has offended him by asking something personal
He was not offended "I don't like her"
Encouraged that he answer her first question, she decided to satisfy her curiosity once and for all "why don't you like her? Sure that both of you must have had a good relationship one time if not how did Jasmine come about"
Jasmine was his daughter who Evelyn gave birth to
"We were never in any kind of relationship, she was the one who kept on pursuing me. I never liked her" he gave her a bitter smile
" But you slept with her?"
"Yes according to her we had sex but I was not aware" Walker pinched the flesh in between his brows
"Not aware? You were drugged? " Charlotte asked with wide eyes
"Yes and when I woke up the next day she was with me and threatened to release pictures if I did not agree to date her"
Charlotte felt ashamed on Evelyn's behalf. She could not see herself drugging a man to have sex with him and get him to date her
"So you agreed to date her" Charlotte felt sorry for him
"No I did not agree to date her even with all her threat's but she came back two months later after that day with pregnancy results"
"Wow" it escaped from her mouth involuntarily.
" Yeah wow, at first I thought that she was lying because a woman like her can do anything so I told her that we would be going a a DNA test after the birth of the child"
" And then you found out it was yours"
"Yes, I agreed to take care of my child but I don't want anything to do with her "
"But she keeps looking for you" she felt pity for her boss as he was tied with a woman he didn't love because of a child he had with her
"Yes she refused to let me be"

Charlotte stood her ground, she could not go against her boss "why don't you give him a call" she suggested
Evelyn turn red when she realised that everyone's eyes were on them. There was a few people working in the same floor with Charlotte .
Angela whom she despised was there watching them with a smirk "that bitch" she swore under her breath
"He won't take my calls" she murmured through gritted teeth
' whose fault is it?' she wanted to ask but what she really said was "am sorry but you will have to come back some other time"
"Out of my way dumbass" Evelyn used all her strength to shove Charlotte to the ground nearly falling herself
She stumbled but was able to catch herself in the nick of time, by then she was already in front of Walker's office door
"Miss Evelyn you can't"
Charlotte jumped to her feet and rushed stop Evelyn who was already reaching out a hand to push the door open
Evelyn was about to smile in victory but the smile never made it to her lips. She turned the door knob only to find it locked
Charlotte did not stop her again when she realized that the door was locked. At least walker was wise enough to lock it from inside. He must have known that Evelyn was going to visit
"Why is the door locked" Evelyn turned to glare at her
" Because Mr Burton is not around?" Charlotte gave her a sweet smile
Evelyn felt sick to her stomach when she saw Charlotte's smile. She became embarrassed when she saw everyone's eyes on her
"what add you looking at? Go back to work" she barked at then before raising her chest to walk out
"Tell him I came to look for him, he can't run away for ever" she murmured as she wakes past Charlotte
" I know how to do my job, take care miss Evelyn"
" Bitch" Evelyn hissed before getting into the elevator
Charlotte continue to watch her with a taunting smile on her face until the elevator closed. The Ile on her face disappeared as she quickly made her way to the bathroom
