Love's POV
Half-heartedly, I tie my hair in a pony and have a last look at my makeup. I look kind of decent and that's enough.
After yesterday's drama, Jake promised to make it up to me by taking me out. I'm still unsure about this as my mind keeps on telling me reasons I should've declined this outing.
Almost all of them are lame reasons like the weather is not good, I shouldn't go out in the human world I might mess up, or that there might be a robbery in the house.
Some of them are acceptable reasons, like the way Jake acted earlier, maybe I shouldn't be agreeing to everything he says after he just confessed to doing things with other women when he knows he has a mate and has met her already. I shouldn't be going out with him after he accused me of not waiting for him. But my stupid heart felt sad when he almost cried in guilt and decided to give him another chance.
But the most important reason, the reason which I somehow don't want to accept is Lucian. His worry is gawking at my heart, is he safe? Is the territory safe? Shouldn't I be going running back to him to make him feel better?
Jake told me that I'm safe here and if I go back, things might get messier which I kind of understand. Still, my heart is torn between the two of them.
"Are you ready?" A voice behind me speaks and I turn to find a handsome-looking Jake grinning, wearing regular jeans and a T-shirt. He told me to dress casually and comfortably so I wore a cami top with a few loose jeans. My wide hips made the loose jeans still tight around my hips and thighs but they went down to become loose on my calves.
"I guess I am" I smiled back. His grin grew wider as he took in my appearance and he bent to kiss me on my cheek. I smiled back at him and we made our way out of the apartment.
When Jake brought me here, I was unconscious so I have no memories of how I got here or where we even were.
"After you, my lady" Jake opened the car's door for me like a gentleman which made me smile.
"Any guesses where we might be heading" Jake tilted his head to the road and I shrugged.
"I don't even know what place in America I even am. And I've never been to the human world" I confessed and his eyes shone with mischief.
"I guess then you're going to love this," he said as the engine came to life.

"I don't think this is my definition of fun" I grumbled as we were sitting on the top of the Ferris wheel. We had Some of these back in our pack but I never dared to sit on one
Jake chuckled from beside me as our little seat started shaking. My hands went to his arms to hold him tightly and I closed my eyes.
"This is not funny Jake"
"Yes, it's not."
"Then why are you laughing" I almost whisper yelled.
"Because someone here" he gave a peck on my head "looks too cute to not laugh at" with that, he laughed again.
With that, our seats started going down, and I shouted with all my guts. After shouting for a few seconds, I opened my eyes. The stupid seat went down for a few seconds and then stopped mid-air, giving somebody else the top spot. While I'm happy we're still not at the top spot, I'm irritated by the fact that it'll take us centuries to go down.
The thing that almost everybody was looking at us made my cheeks burn in embarrassment.
I glared at Jake, which made him laugh even more.
"I never loved this ride more" he snickered and gave a kiss on my forehead. I grunted back at him closing my eyes again. Oh, this stupid ride.
After what felt like an eternity, we finally came down.
"That felt good" Jake said with a smile and yawned. It was then that I noticed that I was holding onto him for dear life. I left his arm which made him shake his head.
"So, where to next?" He questioned more to himself than me and looked at the pocket map of the fare. "I guess I know" he folded it back again and grabbed my hand.
Dragging me behind him, he took me to a place that looked like a spa. Like a cheap foot spa.
The owner of this place was talking to a couple of children about fish when we made our way.
"Hi" spoke Jake and the owner replied with a hi. "We would like a massage for" he looked at the available options "fifteen minutes" he decided.
"For two people?" Questioned the owner who, now that I noticed has a batch of his name- John.
"No for one," he said pushing me forward and holding my shoulders.
"Hey, I think you should also try" I resisted. The idea of a cheap foot massage didn't sound so thrilling but I'm sure Jake had something in mind when he chose this.
"It's only for you Love" he bopped my nose as if I were a cat.
The owner nodded and made me sit on a wooden stool with a little pool in front of it.
He made me dip my feet in something sticky and I looked at Jake with a puzzled look. He was making my feet dirtier than anything.
"Just wait for it" grinned Jake and I half-heartedly nodded.
"Now slowly dil your feet but make sure you don't hurt anybody down there. If you feel bad or uncomfortable, gently shake your feet to move them away then take them out. Don't abruptly take your feet out and shake. Their safety is the utmost priority." John spoke Like what appeared instructions to me and I nodded.
Hurt? Who was I hurting?
As I slowly dipped my feet in and waited, they started tingling. Peeking down I can see tiny fishes licking my feet. I felt tingles all over my feet and giggled. This felt good. Now it makes sense, the sticky liquid John made me dip my feet into was fish food.
"This feels" giggle "good" another giggle "Jake you should" giggle "definitely try this" in-between my sets of giggles I managed to form a sentence. The owner and Jake seemed to be amused by my reaction.
"Sure, after you Love" replied Jake.
The fishes took a few minutes to clean the food and John told us that our time there was over. I wanted to go over again but he suggested that they might bite my epidermis if I stayed there for long. Which made me shut up, I love my epidermis.
"Well this was definitely fun" I spoke. A hiccup made its way after my sentence and Jake laughed again.
"The night has just started" laughed Jake which gave him a hiccup himself.
We both looked at each other and laughed.
