Sam walked up to the doctor and whispered something to him. The man looked around the room and said loudly, "The patient needs rest, you can visit later but for now…" he let the statement hang and waited good-naturedly as VVIP visitors and family members were sensitive to handle so he just lingered.
Sam took that as a cue to usher all of the extended family out, he left only Mandy, Tasha and Kelvin as Mia's hysterics were becoming too much to bear and the ruckus being caused by the rest by them pointing fingers at Mandy was also becoming too much to bear.
A small crowd of nurses and hospital workers had gathered there as well.
Soon, the four were the only ones left in there as they watched the now fragile looking old man on the bed. He looked so small and vulnerable. Mandy started to shed tears once they were the only ones left.
