Two years later…
Mitch's arrest and confiscated assets had made the news for long time. This may have been because of his popularity and arrogance. There were mixed reactions but mostly people were happy and thought that he had gotten what he deserved.
But it was like a divine intervention of a sort because as he was put on the stand for his trial, other crimes and evidence popped up. It turned out that it was not the first time he had used that method to 'get rid' of someone. Hazel's case was added to the lot as well. The crimes kept piling on top of one another that he was given a life sentence with a 'no parole' option at all.
He was not the only one with that unfortunate sentence, the evidence presented against Eddy was also enough for him to get a life sentence.
The story blew up about the two for quite a while. However, the only person that they could rely on, Ella Menas, never stepped one foot to see them.
