A few hours later...
In the underground where hundreds of slave miners reside.
Humans who have been enslaved and brainwashed using magic were mining non-stop till their last breath.
Raven was secretly collecting some of his mined minerals and gems inside of his inventory when suddenly a slight tremor could be felt inside the mine.

At the deepest part of the mine.
"Run!" the guards ran for their lives because a horde of giant centipedes made their way inside of the mine. Each giant centipedes is as big as a human and some of them are even longer than 5 meters.
They have a menacing appearance with purple exoskeleton and glowing green substance like vines on their body.
While the conscience guards whoa are not affected by the slave spell race to the exist into the upper floor.
The slaves who are working like machines due to the effects of the slave mark were left behind slaughtered like pigs.
They couldn't run like the others without the orders of their owner. The slaves were left behind as scapegoats for the guards. Some of the giant centipedes feast on the fresh food in front of their very being.
Some guards were caught and killed. Some of them fell cause by the stampede and got massacred. Their guts scattered on the floor and their blood became a shallow pool inside the cave.
Their bloods became water for the enemies and their flesh became food. Some guards even fight back but the enemies overwhelmed them by numbers and strength.
In the end, only few of them manage to get into the upper floor and inform the people to also evacuate outside the mine and prepare to fight back.

The guards who are at the floor where Raven belongs were alerted after hearing the shouts coming from a far where the stairs for the down floors is located.
"Hey! Check that out what is going on!" ordered by the captain as his subordinate went to the location.
A few moments later, "Void Creatures!!!" shouted by the subordinate who went into the scene where the shouting came from.
"!!!"
"Ring the emergency bells!" shouted by the captain.
DING! DING! DING!
Bells echoed inside the cave and all personal pick up weapons and slowly retreating while ordering the slaves to pick up their pickaxes and move out. While some of the slaves were ordered to fight the enemies in order to buy some time for them to get out.
About a hundred slaves were ordered excluding Raven who hid himself among the slaves who are lined up going outside.

A few minutes earlier...
"We are almost there! Run faster!"
"ahhhh!"
"Gilbert save me! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Shouts were echoes and dying last words were only sounds could be heard.
(Panting)
"We finally made it upstairs." said by a guard as he look behind him and saw no one else in the pitch dark stairs leading downward.
"Where is everyone!?" he shouted.
Ting! Ting! Ting!
Metalic sound echoed from downstairs. "Is anyone alive!" he shouted again.
TING! TING! TING! TING!
The metalic sound only became louder and faster after he shouted. "Shit!" he cursed as he started running again.
He ran and ran until he saw light from a far and shouted, "Void Creatures! Ru-" before he finish what he wants to say his abdomen was pierced by a claw.
Unfortunately, due to his exhausted state his shout was not heard by anyone.
The void creature who killed him was not a giant centipede, but instead it have the appearance of an Insecta as the size of a human.

The void creature screech and opened its wings.
"Runnnnnnnnn~!" it shouted as the insect mimic the voice of the man it just killed.
The creature blended into the dark after letting out the cries of a human.
Moments later, the creature saw its next prey. It waited patiently like a predator waiting for its prey to get the bait it lay.
(Panting...)
The guard who went after the voice was catching his breath only to be interrupted by a pool of blood in the floor where he was standing.
"!!!"
He look around but only saw darkness and a little light from the main area. When he look down again he saw a trail of blood and he followed it. When he finally got into the end of the trail he bump into something hard and he look up to only saw 4 glowing green eyes.
He froze in an instant as he felt the killing intent coming from in front of him. He wanted to run, but was afraid that if he run he would loss his life in an instant before he know about it.
But the sense of duty to inform the others about this unknown creature who hid itself in the darkness has overcome his fears and manage to let out a loud shout enough to be heard from a few meters away.
"Void Creatures! Ru-" before he got the time to finish what he wanted to say he saw his body standing headless.

The creature screech as he slice the body in half and sprint towards the easy prey from a far.

Raven was happily mining when he heard an odd sound that were like from a human but at the same time not.
He just shove it off at the back of his mind because it was normal in the mine hearing shouting because sometimes some slaves regain their consciousness anf tries to escape. If caught they would fight back and if overwhelmed they would shout for help, and sometimes groups of conscious slaves would shout run to inform the other conscious slaves.
But when Raven heard the second shouts he immediately was on guard because it is literally not from a human.
He saw the captain of the guards ordering a man to check what is going on and thought, 'Idiots.'
Why would anyone want to wander around and check the area of total darkness with no light and also with no weapons!? They must be the stupidest motherf*cker alive!
HAHAHAHA...
Raven thought as he observe the man going into the unknown.
When the man finally got into the area and not visible in the naked eye. Raven squinted his eyes in order to observe the man from the dark for only to see his headless appearance.

Raven was alerted and pick up the Arcane who turned itself into a pickaxe. Then he heard the bells rang and officers getting into formation.
He himself also blend in among the slaves when the order was commenced to line up. Fortunately, he was not chosen to be a scapegoat for those rotten humans.
He followed the protocol and successfully got out of the 2nd floor of the mine among the others.
But when they finally got upstairs to the 1st floor they saw unimaginable things.
What he saw was a bunch of 4 legs insect with disfigured appearance feasting on fresh corpses. Blood have overfilled the area and covered the whole floor.
The scene was so gruesome that the people who manage to survive the down floor to puke their guts out all over the place causing the mishaps to what's about to happen.
The smell of their puke have been noticed by the void-infected insecta causing them another horror as those insects rush towards them.
All of them ran in all direction including Raven who is previously relax is now in panic. Raven ran against other people and manage to hid into a corner, but unfortunately, he is now in a position far away from the exit.
Some unfortunate souls have been taken and became the food of those void creatures.

As everyone was running for their lives. Their worst nightmare have finally manage to got upstairs to where they're all now.
"!!!" Raven exclaimed as the sound of screeching was verg near to him.
Then, a gust of wind pass him and souns of screaming echoed.
One by one, the number of surviving human decrease.

The monster screech once again as it slain its prey. The monster scanned the area and could not find any life force left except for the other lesser void creatures who are the Infected ones.

The monster tilted its head and raised it.

The monster made a motion like its sniffing the air. Suddenly, its head turned into the direction where Raven was hiding.
"Shit!" Raven cursed as he made eye contact with the monster.
"Arcane turn into pickaxe!" Raven ordered the arcane.

The monster opened its wide insect wings and in the blink of an eye it appeared infront of Raven.

An arm went flying...
The attack was too fast and Raven couldn't react to it and he even didn't realize that one of his arms went flying. He only noticed it after two seconds.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" Raven shouted as pain torture him.
"My arm!"
Before the arcane finished transforming into a pickaxe. The monster move passed him and he could hear his heart beating slowly.
Unknown to him the monster has already made a hole at the location where his heart at.
Raven felt throbbing pain at his chest.
Raven slowly look down and saw the hole covered in blood.
"W-What? I'm so cold."
His vision blurred as he slowly look straight at the monster with disbelief look on his face. His heart was currently at the hands of the monster. His heart was still beating at the palm of his enemy.
He grabbed his chest where the hole is located and slowly walk towards the monster holding his heart.
"That's... Mine." Raven said with a weakened voice.
The sound of his heart beating slowly slowed down and the motion of his heart also became slower than before.
The palm of the monster who is holding his heart was soaked with his red human blood that drips into the floor.
Raven is holding his chest as he desperately walk towards the monster as he muttered, "G-Give it back."
Throb... Throb... Throb... Throb... Thro...
His heart made a few beats before coming into a halt. Raven eyes' opened widely as the beating of his heart stopped.
Thud~
His body hit the floor with a thud.

The monster screech one more time as if it is laughing. Then, instead of eating the heart it took the monster thrown it.
