In the afternoon, they returned to the village. Suddenly, Kalea took Arthur to the hill where there was a swing—a swing that Kai had built especially for her. There was something pressing in Kalea's heart, something she could only express in that place.
Arthur looked at Kalea with concern. "Why did you want to go up the hill all of a sudden? You know you'll get tired, Lea," he said with worry, noticing Kalea's labored breaths.
Kalea shook her head, feeling strong enough. "It's been a while since I've been here. I want to see the view from the hill again—wait, what are you doing?!" she shrieked, surprised as Arthur picked her up without warning.
"So we can get there faster."
"I'm heavy, Arthur! I don't want to fall!"
"Are you doubting my strength? Just hold on tight, wrap your arms around my neck."
