As promised, Arthur visited Kalea several times. He never missed bringing something for her, even if she never asked for it. Whether it was gifts or food, he always brought whatever might make Kalea or the child growing in his wife's belly happy.
"His wife." Only Arthur thought of her like that, taking liberties in his own mind, yet he never dared to say it aloud, especially in front of Kalea. If he did, she might throw a tantrum.
Arthur hadn't mentioned the house he had bought either. He wanted to save that as a final surprise once Kalea was fully committed to being his. This was the decision he made after Dariel and Zeline harshly criticized his overly bold plan. Arthur didn't want to make any more wrong moves.
