It didn't take long for Arthur to finish his shower. The clothes he wore fit him perfectly: a plain white short-sleeved shirt and checkered long pants. His wet black hair fell messily over his forehead, adding to the masculine charm that often made it hard for people to look away. He let out a deep sigh as he stepped out of the bathroom and headed toward the dining room. In his mind, images of Kalea and Kai's intimacy lingered. He knew the jealousy was still there, but he would try to suppress it. Or at least, he hoped he could.
"Ah, you're done, Mr. Jefferson? Let's eat," Kai greeted him with his polite and humble smile, while Kalea only glanced at Arthur without uttering a word.
"You didn't have to wait for me. I know you're both starving," Arthur replied as he sat in the seat prepared for him, directly across from Kalea.
"It's no problem, Sir. That way, I had time to feed my sister first."
