Chapter 1 - Chapter (Hope)

My name is Blossom, I was 13yrs when I lost my Mum and my dad ran away from my Mum Mrs. Munroe Pretty when I was 5years of age, I was very helpless and depressed that everyone who saw me thought I was cursed, but my grandmother took care of me despite all the challenges she was ready to give her life for me.

Buck faithful dawn, my grandma dubbed me.....Blossom!! Yes, I answered back, I want to tell you something granny said? I am all ears I replied.

You are beautiful, unique, and special in your ways, and to me, Whenever I see you, I remember my daughter your mum who bestowed origin to you,

You put up with the elegance of your mother, and anyone who tries to run away from you is running from "WEALTH".

I was completely anxious, for what granny said that anyone who runs away from me is running from wealth. For quite a moment I was silent and striving to deliberate and believe what she said, I again replied "sweet granny" I so much appreciate the courage you have in me but am confused, I don't understand your sling. I know you will not understand me but when the time comes you will comprehend better Blossom, "Kolanut they say last in the mouth of those that value it and not for fools".

You just have to believe in yourself, no matter what life has to offer negatively say to yourself I am exceptional. Compose your mind and decide for yourself, because challenges are real and every human must experience them on one path or the other.

I was more confused than before, I stood about to talk because the words she told me were so powerful, that I could not resist them at that moment and granny said, Remember you have a lot of work to do, you better start accomplishing them before it clocks 7:30 pm. I quickly ran to the backyard of the cottage because we were living in a 'GETTO' where robbers thieves and rappers naturally visit people. While running I keep on reiterating, contemplating what granny told me.

I was done with the work at about 8:15 pm, granny was inside watching Tv(black and white) when I enters she was shocked, she felt it was one of those criminals, and screamed "who is there? I quickly walk towards her and reply- it's me Blossom I sat beside her trying to cool her down. She replied are you done with the work? Yes granny I replied. Alright am hungry, I will like to have my food because the worms in my intestines are terrorizing me...says grandma, We both burst into laughter for more than a moment.....I quickly run to the kitchen to fetch her food and mine, and we both ate concurrently. I was nearly to raise an issue, about what she told me earlier but she shut me down by telling me, Blossom!! I reply yes granny

while eating you should not discuss because we possess what we call "Table manner" accord granny I replied.

We continue eating as I gaze into her eyes whenever I put food into my mouth, I attempt to think about something bothering me. After eating I greeted her thanks, granny, as she replied "All gratitude to God almighty for food" I clear the table where we ate and packed the plates to the kitchen. After returning, I said to granny.....she respond, Blossom what is the problem? Are you bothered about something? No, I replied, but she insisted that I must talk to her. I was trying to hide the problem but I eventually agreed to talk to her but I was worried about what might be the outcome or answer she will put on.
