David took a sip of his Vodka, releasing his exploding nervousness. The image of Anna making out with Alexander was still vivid in his mind, even though he had tried hard to forget it.
His problem is also mixed with his anxiety about DNA testing, which continues to piss him off.
He is trying to find a way, if both possibilities happen, to see what steps he should take.
He didn't want to continue to be trampled under Alexander's feet, so whatever the results of the DNA test, he still had to build his own strength.
The only way he could think of was to have a cooperative relationship with someone who was influential enough and could support him, at least be able to bring himself on par with Alexander.
However, he also wants the relationship not to hold him back. Therefore, he needed a partner who would not be able to surpass him and obey.
