"Awww...!" Marie stifled a shriek as her son applied medicine to her wounds.
"Hold on a little, Mam... just a little more."
Carefully, David washed the blood that had begun to dry from the wounds, then treated them even though his hands shook.
The wounds caused by Martin's lashes left so many injuries, even though most of them were red and swollen and oozed fresh blood that was still flowing.
Even Marie's abdomen, chest and waist were bruised as Martin's fist landed there, adding to the pain she felt.
"Damn it! Barbaric! He's a demon, not a human," he whispered as he held back tears.
"Don't cry, I'm sorry Mommy ... it's all Mommy's fault," Marie whispered as she wiped her son's tears.
"He's in the wrong. You'll see, one day I'll finish him off with my hands—"
"Stop!" Marie hissed. "Someone will hear it later."
