Rose kept moaning in pain, especially when the contractions she felt were getting more intense. Meanwhile outside, it was raining non-stop, closing access roads in and out which made it difficult to evacuate if a cesarean operation was required, like when Yustina used to.
"Rob ...it's hurts," she moaned as she gripped Robert's hand tightly.
"Patience Rose—"
"Aaaakkhhh!! It hurts," she screamed again when the contractions came again, leaving wounds on her waist, back and stomach that tightened.
In front of Rose, the only person who can help her is getting ready with minimal equipment. Not a doctor or a maternity midwife, but a traditional birth attendant whose services are usually used by local residents.
