*Fifteen Days Later*
After getting up from the bed, I hopped into the bathroom for a quick shower, I didn't need to do so anymore but the idea of taking a shower every day was already ingrained in me.
"System, how many hours did I sleep for?" I asked
[Fifteen Days]
I was stupefied upon hearing the system's response, but I quickly moved on and focused on what was important.
'So 150 thousand years have passed on the planet,' I mused, pulling up a projection of the planet.
As a creation god, I know the number of every living creature in my world, but I'd need to focus on a particular creature to know the exact details of it, but it was just easier to have the system pull out the information for me..
[World Population - 18,580,070,924,673]
[Total Deaths - 275,644,825,931,649]
'Hmm, it is kind of small for a planet of this size. But I guess it is fine for a world that's just one hundred and fifty thousand years old.'
The past one hundred and fifty thousand years have been one of natural selection, with 60% of the species 'spawned' on the planet extinct, especially the creature not capable of utilising mana.
'I expected at least 90% to have gone extinct by now but it's alright, there's still time.'
"System highlight any unique creature that evolved naturally,"
Since goddess Reva said the universe works like the game, I was planning on adding the creation codex of any unique creature that appeared down on the planet to the online market that caters to creation gods.
After instructing the system, a hologram of the only creature that mutated alongside its characteristics appeared in front of me.
The magic creature was a hybrid of an owl, and a lion, I just chucked the possibility of something like this existing to magic and focused on a name for it. After contemplating for a few minutes, I decided to name it 'Secara'. The name didn't have any meaning that I knew of, but it sounded cool.
[Name: Secara]
[Avian/Mammal Hybrid]
[Level 1(2 Stars) Creature]
[Overall Growth Potential: Level 3(5 Stars)]
[Lifespan: 300 years]
[Maturity: 50 years]
[Average Size(M): Height 2m - 3m, Length 4.8m - 5.3m, Tail 1m - 1.6m, Weight 210kg - 370kg]
[Average Size(F): Height 2.5m - 3.8m, Length 5.3m - 6m, Tail 1.6m - 2m, Weight 290kg - 500kg]
[Racial Characteristics: Night Vision, Flight, Primal Instinct, Mind Defence.]
[Elemental Affinity - Fire, and Wind]
[An avian/mammal hybrid that automatically becomes a Level One (**) creature at adulthood. It inherited the body of a lion, but gained the scaled legs, and claws of the owl, with pointed, spikelike feathers replacing its furs. The Secera is an impressive magical beast that inherited the best racial attribute from both ancestors]
....
The hologram went further to list the habitat, gestation period, food/eating habits, social structure, and so on. After I was done checking the characteristics of the beast, I browsed the system in its entirety, re-familiarising myself with the system's UI.
The major subsystems were the 'Market, Forum, Arena,' and the Emporium'. The emporium wasn't a function in the game so I took time learning about it.
The emporium is a massive Divine Realm created by the very first Creators sent to this universe, and It acts as a free city for fledglings creators irrespective of their affiliations. The emporium comprises of a market district, a real estate district, a business district, a red-light district, and so on. Unlike the game from earth, when a Creator loses all of his planets, he loses access to the system, so unless the Creator knows the coordinates to an uninhabited planet, they would not be able to make a come-back. Due to this, the sale of planet coordinates is one of the leading markets amongst fledgling Creators. There are also Creators without a world to their name (by choice), and these creators form companies that carry out exploration expeditions to find uninhabited planets, resource planets, and various natural existing treasures, useful to both Creators and the inhabitants of their world. After obtaining these coordinates, and natural treasures, they then sell them to other Creators, saving precious exploration time for Creators that intends to expand.
Solar systems aren't lined up like doors where you could just walk out of yours and find a new one immediately. There are billions of stars in a galaxy, to find an actual solar system out of those stars takes a considerable amount of time, precious time a Creator would lose if he decides to venture out on his own. The world of Creators pretty much works like how humans were from earth except, in this case, they are all beings capable of creating life.
Mentally selecting the market, I was led to a 'create account' page. After filling in the details, I registered my account. Like most creators, I opted out of adding my location and registering my divine energy as I won't be needing deliveries, and since the system would be used to authenticate my account, I deemed it pointless.
The next hour was spent on getting a feel for how things were valued in the market.
What I found out was, In the market, unless publicly released, the creations of a god would be immediately patented. So if I list the Secara on the market, no one would be able to use it on any planet that isn't registered to them. Every creature, or object has its unique structure called 'Codex', and this creature codex can't be replicated by anyone using the market as it goes against the 'Creator Code of Conduct' (CCC). Besides the market caters to fledgling Creators, and they don't have the talent or the knowledge required to replicate the entire genetic makeup of a species, that's why we all have the creator system.
After I was done examining the various listings added to the market, I was able to determine the average price of the codex of a magic creature with the same stats as the Secara, which costs anywhere from 3 - 8 creation points. It would have been valued at around 12 - 18 points if it was sapient, and around 22 - 25 points if it was a humanid. With the value being way higher if it was a humanoid, as the value for humanoids is higher since the marketplace I have access to pretty much caters to the aesthetics of humanoid Creators.
With an idea of the inherent value, I listed the Secara for 6cpts.
[Congratulations on adding your first creation to the Market.]
[A 10% royalty would be given to you if anyone sells a creature codex with a genetic route tracing back to the 'Secara']
'Hmm, so I still earn money if the Secara evolves on someone else's world and decides to sell it. Nice!!'
....
Following my first addition to the market, I spent the next thirty minutes browsing through the forum, where I discovered calling it a 'forum' was a bit disingenuous. The forum was basically the internet of the world of fledgling creators. It encompasses a social media space for famous creators to post pictures and videos, a chatroom, and a reddit-like space.
After I was familiarising myself with the forum, I opened the arena tab. The arena allowed Creators to compete with each other in a healthy way, by pitting the inhabitants of various creators' worlds against each other in a fight to the death.
'So the arena is basically a roman arena, and the inhabitants of the creators world are the gladiators,' I mused.
'The world of creators is more advanced than I'd originally thought. Social media, large corporations, arenas, space exploration,' I thought, excited at the prospect of meeting other creators without having to fight to the death.
In the game back on earth, the forum was only filled with players, and it also didn't have an arena. So meeting a player you don't know, would most likely end up in a war. And finding new planets was fairly easy, you just needed to spend five minutes searching, and you'd most likely find an uninhabited solar system.
Turning my attention back to the arena, I discovered It was possible to stream live battles while in my divine realm by only paying a small fee.
'So like UFC, but with actual people dying. Well, I guess to creators the fighters are like toys since they technically created them.'
[Congratulations, you have earned a new achievement!]
[For selling your first creation, you've earned the Entrepreneur achievement. +30 points.]
[Creation Points - 557]
'Oh, someone bought the Secara codex.'
'Two people actually,' I thought upon seeing the creation point balance.
